Venis heard Jorge's request. She smiled as he was placing the center pieces. "Of course. Just send some replacements. Oh and could you send ... Bethany ... Jasmine ... Sierra ... and Lucile? That way, the next time I need cinched up, none of the men have to come do it. Tasha and Seleen might like having their ladies around as well. So could you do that for me please?" She got up and set her glass down on the table.

She headed back out the door to head to the front of the Inn. She had to check on that delivery. She couldn't believe it wasn't there yet. Back to the Meeting Hall and back to her portal. She had two more boxes of paper to get. After those she grabbed up a large box of ribbons. Those went to the table with the bows.

The last of the things she needed to get for the decorating tables was a box of rolls of clear tape and several pair of sissors. Once she had those brought through she went back to get more things to decorate Santa's stage. Some potted poinsettia's and other things.

She couldn't help herself though. She had to go check for that delivery again. Still not there. So she returned to the Meeting Hall. She had little cut outs for the walls. She was placing them along the walls in no particular order. She just wanted the place to look festive. She even had some for the doors. She didn't even notice the mistletoe above her head while she hung wreaths upon the doors.

Casie began singing Christmas songs to herself as they decorated the remainder of the second floor. She coulden't wait to get to the first floor to see Venis and tell her what her men had been up to, it would of course be all in fun.

She was missing a few people that she really wanted here. Her children and the Marques. She had presents foer her children back at Claremount, still wrapped infact they had presents from her every Birthday and Christmas from the last five years waiting to be opened.

She pushed the sad thoughts from her mind and began to sing lounder hopeing the me would join her in the songs.

Decking the Halls - Page 3 Empty Re: Decking the Halls

He chuckled as they were putting up the decorations on the tree in the longue. Every time that he would be up on the ladder to put a ornament on the tree he would feel a pinch on his rear. And every time he would look back kto see what was going on Seleen would just look innocent. Then every one in a while he would feel her fangs on his neck and he would shiver. "You need to be careful." And when she left he decided to do something to the tree. He knew there was at least one other person there but right now if he did it fast enough who knows if that person or people would see. So he closed his eyes and breathed when he opened them back up his eyes were glacier blue and so was his hair. He put his hand up focusing right above the tree.

There was enough moisture in the air that he was able to condense it and it started to snow onto the tree. So now there stood a tree with a very light shift of snow going down ontop of it. He put his hand down and the snow was still going on. "There that should stay for a couple of days. I hope the Inn keeper will keep a few towels on the ground around the tree." He closed his eyes and they and his hair shifted back to the normal red color. He heard her come back and smiled. "Hey hun."

Seleen set the box of decorations down. "Hi baby. Miss ... Shuda, oh my Gods." She looked at the tree and couldn't help but smile. "We are gunna need some towels. I can't believe you did that. It's so neat." She thought about it for a moment. "Honey, what about the floor. Actually. I'll be right back." She kissed him and then headed out the door.

She headed over to the Meeting Hall. She went in and looked around. She spotted Venis setting down a box. "V, need to borrow you for a second." She turned around and headed back to the Lounge hoping Venis would follow.

She entered the Lounge again. "Ok, honey, help is on the way ... I think" She turned around and watched for Venis. If anyone could keep the floor safe it was Venis. She laughed again as she shook her head. She really did love that he made it snow on the tree.

Venis looked up when Seleen said something to her. Borrow her, for what? But Sel was gone before she could even ask. So she had no choice, she headed out of the Meeting Hall and into the Lounge just a few steps behind Sel.

When she saw the tree she stopped in her tracks. She slowly approached the tree. Once she was at the tree she held her hand out and let the snow fall upon it for a moment. A blood tear rolled down her face. There was a reason she had yet to go play in the snow.

She wiped the tear away and turned to Seleen and Shuda. Her voice was very soft and it even cracked. "How ..." She closed her eyes, shook her head and came back to reality. "What do you need my help with?"

Seleen put her arm around Shuda's waist as she spoke. "We, um, kinda need the floor protected. All that snow will melt and soak the floor." Maddie walked up then. She smiled as she remembered seeing her the day that she had arrived, and how she seemed to be getting more comfortable and familiar as time passed. "Hi Maddie."

She looked back to Venis. "Any idea's boss?" Yea, old habits died hard. She looked at the lovely tree again. She saw how it seemed to sadden Venis to look at it. She figured it had something to do with missing Kahn. Seleen wished she had thought about that before she had gone to get Venis. She felt bad now.

Venis smiled. Some say it was rather insincere, but it was a smile none the less. "Hello Madeline." She looked at the floor for a moment. "Hmm, actually, yes." She scratched at the back of her head for a moment. How to do this? "Ok, um, Madeline, could you grab a pretty glass ornament from the box for me? And Seleen and Shuda, I will need the tree lifted, stand and all, in just a moment." She got a look of deep thought on her face, which one was it. She needed to make sure she used the right words.

Madeeline greeted Seleen. "Hello Miss Seleen, nice to see you again. You guys have it gorgeous in here."

Maddie got the pretty ornament the Goddess was talking about and carefully handed it to her. "Here you go Lady Venis."

"Thank you Madeline. Oh this is quite lovely indeed." She took the ornament and put it against the diamond in her engagement ring. She turned the ornament carefully slicing it in half around the equator of the sphere. Once she had two halves she got down on her knees and placed the bottom half under the stand that held the tree.

She looked up to Madeline. "Join me dear, on the other side of the tree please." She leaned back down and placed her fingers on the lip of the glass. She waited for Madeline to join her in kind.

Venis smiled at Madeline from the other side of the tree. "We are going to make a bowl to keep this live snow from ruining the floor. Put your fingers on the ball please, I need you to pull with me so it doesn't come out lopsided." She waited for her fingers.

Once Madeline was ready Venis told her one last detail. "When it gets to where we have to get under the legs of the stand I need you to tell Shuda and Seleen to lift the tree, and once we've cleared it you need to let them know so they can gently set it down."

She cleared her throat and began to chant. "Gi klez d' ssin, grow xuil ussta xta'rl. Usstan orn mrigg dos, ol wo naut tlu ichl mzilt. Gi klez d' ssin, grow xuil ussta xta'rl. Usstan orn mrigg dos, ol wo naut tlu ichl mzilt." She nodded for Madeline to begin pulling on the glass. "Gi klez d' ssin, grow xuil ussta xta'rl. Usstan orn mrigg dos, ol wo naut tlu ichl mzilt." The small glass began to grow as they pulled.

If Maddie watched closely, the design stayed in tact and he bottom was flattening out to make it look more like a bowl than the bottom of a ball. "Gi klez d' ssin, grow xuil ussta xta'rl. Usstan orn mrigg dos, ol wo naut tlu ichl mzilt." It was a difficult thing to stretch, but it was coming along nice and slow.

Maddie followed Venis's directions to the letter, paying close attention to her movements and words. She remembered doing a similar excerise in Avalon.

Maddie could see the ball forming into a bowl, it was hard work, but coming along nicely.

Venis was pulling and pulling. She continued to chant. "Gi klez d' ssin, grow xuil ussta xta'rl. Usstan orn mrigg dos, ol wo naut tlu ichl mzilt." They were nearing the legs of the tree stand, so she looked up at Madeline as she continued her chant. "Gi klez d' ssin, grow xuil ussta xta'rl. Usstan orn mrigg dos, ol wo naut tlu ichl mzilt."

Madeline was happy with the the progress they were making. She wondered if Venis could tell that she was using a little of her own abilities to help progress things along. Maddie continued concentrating. Maddie looked at Venis, and just how close they were to the tree stand. "Now?"

She knew Madeline had to be up to something. It should have been a little harder than it was. But she was more than thankful for the help. This task had her muscles flexing as it was. Because not only were they stretching the glass, they were reinforcing it and making it thicker. In essence, they were making glass, and it was already decorated.

When Madeline asked her if she wanted the tree lifted now she nodded as she chanted. "Gi klez d' ssin, grow xuil ussta xta'rl. Usstan orn mrigg dos, ol wo naut tlu ichl mzilt. Gi klez d' ssin, grow xuil ussta xta'rl. Usstan orn mrigg dos, ol wo naut tlu ichl mzilt." They were going to have this done in no time as long as they were careful.

She continued concentrating. This was going to look awesome when they were done.

He just nods as he motions for Seleen to join. As they both got to the tree he knelled down and grabbed one side as Seleen grabbed the other side. "OK ready one two three." They both picked up the tree. "There you go Venis." With that they just waited for her to do whatever she was going to do.

With the tree up they worked the bowl more pulling it as fast as they could. It was only a few inches to clear the the legs then they would easily slide as the glass moved. She continued to chant. "Gi klez d' ssin, grow xuil ussta xta'rl. Usstan orn mrigg dos, ol wo naut tlu ichl mzilt. Gi klez d' ssin, grow xuil ussta xta'rl. Usstan orn mrigg dos, ol wo naut tlu ichl mzilt."

They were clear of the legs within moments and she once again looked to Madeline so she could have them set the tree down. This was really going to take a minute given the size of the tree. But she kept going, and kept chanting. "Gi klez d' ssin, grow xuil ussta xta'rl. Usstan orn mrigg dos, ol wo naut tlu ichl mzilt. Gi klez d' ssin, grow xuil ussta xta'rl. Maddie acknowledged Venis's look. "Ok you can set the tree down."

Maddie was continuing her own concentration as the bowl was set into place, and the tree was being lowered
. She was pleased at how well things progressed. The bowl was beautiful, she couldn't wait to see it when it was done.

Once the tree was in place Venis doubled her efforts to get the bowl spread wide enough. Instead of her fingers on the lip she slid one hand in the bowl with her palm flat against it and her other hand went to the outside of the bowl in the same manner. She looked up to see if Madeline was ready to pull just as hard as she continued to chant. "Gi klez d' ssin, grow xuil ussta xta'rl. Usstan orn mrigg dos, ol wo naut tlu ichl mzilt. Maddie saw the tree happily in its place. She saw Venis look up and the the change of Venis's hand placements. Madeline did the same as Venis. She closed her eyes and focused all of her energy into pulling with Venis. Madeline opened her eyes and gave Venis a grin. " Ready."

Isah had finished the second floor and was down on the first. In fact, he was but three doors away from where he had dropped off his friend Kyra after their time together in the Lounge not long ago. Isah smiled as he remembered meeting his friend. She was so sweet and nice. She was definitely different.

Shamus and Casie had also made it down to the first floor, but they were several doors behind Isah. The papering and ribboning was definitely taking longer than the mistletoe. But they were going along nicely. They had even gotten to skip one door on the second floor. Inion had already done her door.

Keven and Andrew were almost done with the second floor, so that meant that Joseph was done. So Joseph headed down to the first floor and waited there. It wasn't too long of a wait before they joined him and began on the first floor with their garland.

All the men had started singing along with Casie. "Fa la la la la, la la, la la." Bo had gotten very few people on the second floor to answer their door and have packages, so he was finally down on the first floor knocking on doors and singing along as well.

Venis nodded to Madeline and they began to pull harder. The bowl was becoming larger and larger. Venis shifed her possition and pulled with better leverage. They were only about a foot and a half from where they could stop and she could seal the bowl. So she kept pulling and chanting. "Gi klez d' ssin, grow xuil ussta xta'rl.
