"That sounds like a good idea Sky. Perhaps you two would like to go ahead and walk towards the market? I know you wanted to stop at the spring Sky, we can meet up with you at the market." She hoped that it would help for her to go for a walk like Sky had suggested.

It
was a bit of a relief, really, to see that it seemed to be agreed upon
that she needed rest, and that was the cause of her problems. Despite
her insistence that "it was nothing", she really was, deep down, a
little shaken.

"Alright, alright," she said, offering a small
smile. "Fine, I'm listening. I will get some sleep as soon as we get
back. But I think I'm fine for now. Actually, a walk would be nice." Some time to calm down; she needed that.

Sky merely stood then a step away from teh situation. he wa sure he wasn't going to help in any kind of way anymore. He would walk with her if that is what they wanted him to do. That was certainly no problem.

"I guess so... water would be nice and i prefer it came from spring.."

Seleen thought that it sounded like a good idea. "Ok, you two head that way, enjoy the spring. I am going to get one more glass of bloodwine before we leave. Cad, Vesta, when Cad is done eating would you two mind moving the table and chairs back away from the walkway? I'll be right back out."

She watched as Sky and Nephalei walked away, and then she turned and went back into the establishment to get herself one more glass. Good thing wine had no effect on vampires. She left Cad and Vesta out at the table.

((Ok, ok, not monsters. And I have been reading the other thread. You know how I feel about that one though. But the PTSD bunnies was freakin psychotic. Where do you get this stuff from? It's great.))

Cad returned to eating, he was always a slow eater. But he had deceided to kick up the pace a bit this time. He nodded to Seleen's question. When they had all walked away he emptied his mouth and spoke. "So, you gunna model some clothes for me at the castle? You know, get a second oppinion about if it looks good?" He thought to himself, 'not that anything wouldn't look good on you'.

She was being left alone with Cad? Didn't they know all the things she could do to the man without any supervision? Time to take advantage of him! The situation. Time to take advantage of the situation.

Vesta moved her chair closer to Cad's. "I like skirts, but I also like jeans. Perhaps you can help me test out their flexibility." She smiled at him and tapped lightly on the table as she hook his chair leg with her foot and gave it a slight pull.

Running through the village were several men, stopping every so often to ask about Seleen. They were from the Keep and had come to report to her. Upon seeing Cad and Vesta, though not knowing who they were, they were quick to ask about Seleen and even descried her. They asked if they knew her and not waiting for a response, just said if they saw her to tell her to get to the Keep now. That a monster was attacking and the Keep was burning. With that they took off, each splitting to cover more gorun, and one heading towards the Inn.

Cad looked up at the man ariving just in time to ruin his moment with Vesta. "Calm yourself man. What business do you have with the lady Se ..." Before he could finish his sentence his question was answered. "Oh you have got to be kidding me? A monster? And what kind of monster would be burning down the keep? A Dragon?" He laughed, surely there were no dragons. That would be impossable ... Wouldn't it?

Isn't that what always happened. Just when you're about to do something wickedly wonderful - or teasing - a monster comes in.

Vesta sighed inwardly but made use of the opportunity to reach over and give Cad a squeeze to his thigh. "Looks like we got a monster to wrangle. If the Keep burns and all the clothes are gone, I'm afraid I'll have to be reduced to wearing hardly anything at all." Like that would be a problem. She was modest, but not that modest.

"Let's find Seleen. I think she's at the bar." Rising from her seat to see if she could get a view of Seleen.

He laughed. "Somehow I'm picturing you on horseback with a eight foot bull whip trying to get a dragonesque monster away from a closet of clothes. I like the other idea better though. You go in and find Seleen and I'll go get Sky and Nephalei." He touched his hand to hers that was on his theigh and then got up when she did.

She was turned to face the tavern and so he was then behind her. He placed a hand on the small of her back almost on her bottom and then reached around to kiss her cheek before taking off to find the others.

Sky had managed to make his way over to the stream. He was down on all fours... literally not hands and knees but his hands and feet. His head was dipped down and he was lapping the water up. He was definatly in every bit still a cat after all. His tail swished side by side. Despite being in such an ackward place he was feeling... a little more comfortable.

Nephalei glanced at Sky and smiled, noticing that he looked a little more at ease. "Feeling a little better?" she asked. "I know you were a bit uncomfortable back there."

She settled down to her knees, sitting beside him by the stream. It was pretty here. Quieter. She absentmindedly put the tips of her fingers into the chilled water, letting it rush against them. Nice. Reminded her of home, in a way.

He stopped drinking and looked up at her, a little water dripping from his furry face. He thought about shaking it off but figured probably not a good idea and jut ran his arm across his face.

"I not know... seems quieter, calmer. Buil.... build... theengs... they make me... hmm.. Not natural. I have never been in one before. I not want to be understand? Too closed in. I can not explain better. I do not know the words... sorry..."

Time to talk with Cad might have been cut short but it was rewarded in the end. A bull-whip. She would have to wear a black leather dominatrix outfit first. Maybe she'd be able to put one together at the Keep. After the dragon and after.. everything else. She was creative, she didn't need clothes to get an end result.

With a smile she turned to watch him move away - the view was good too - then went to find Seleen at the bar.

"Seleen! Hey Trigger-happy," look at that, seems like she had a nickname, "We gotta get to the Keep right away."

He headed off at a jog to find Sky and Nephalei. Shopping was postoned, but hey he didn't get slapped. Points for him. And yes, he felt her eyes watching him go. It made him smile too.

Seleen looked up at Vesta and squinted her eyes for a moment. Then she got a look of perplexion on her face. "Vesta? What are you talking about child? Why the sudden rush? I thought we were going to go shopping."

She wave off Seleen's question about them going shopping as she came to a stop before her. "No can do, I'm surprised ya hadn't heard with that person running around here like the world was ending. But we got bigger things on our hands." There certainly were bigger things then the world ending. It was all a matter of perspective.

"A dragon's burning down the Keep. I came to get you and Cad went to find the other two so we can high-tail it on outta here and do a bit of dragon slaying." She sounded a bit calm about the whole thing. Excited, but calm all the same. Wouldn't do her any good to go yanking Seleen around now would it?

Seleen was in shock. "There are no dragons around here, but non the less, let's go." She gave the man behoind the bar the gold he was owed and they took off to get the coach and go.

"Might be one accidentally found its way here." Like so many of them seem to have done. It was possible right? Sure it was.

Well now Vesta wasn't sure if she should follow Seleen or go tell the others to hurry up. Cad might have had the others covered so she followed Seleen and went heading to the carriage to go.

Cad saw Sky and Nephalei off in the distance. "Sky, Nephalei, come quick." He ran up to them. "Hey, we have to hold off on the shopping. There's some kind of monster attacking the keep and we need to get going there as fast as we can. Come on."

He turned and started running back to Seleen, Vesta and the coach. He wasn't sure what any of them were going to do against some kind of monster, but he knew they had to do something. He just hoped that it wasn't like some Godzilla movie where the keep was getting crushed under the monsters feet. How on ... well ... how would they ever defeat such a beast?

Seleen reached the stables rather quickly, they weren't that far from them. "Hey, can someone get my horses hooked up, I need my driver. We have an emergency, we have to go." She wasn't as paniced as some, after all, she herself was a monster of sorts. She figured that someone had slightly over exagerated the situation. But none the less. If Venis' keep was in danger, she had to do something to save it. She just hoped that it wasn't some kind of dragon or something.

Sky didn't even hesitate to think. He was actually used to attacks coming from where he was from. He leapt to his feet and was in a dead sprint. He was after all a cheetah. He legs brought him to the stables quickly as he zipped past Cad. He did notice Cad had a nice running form for a human. He skidded to a stop spraying dust everywhere, ther ewas a reason he prided himelf on his speed. His actions spoke even louder then his boastful words.

Seleen turned around to see if they were comming yet and there Sky was. He startled her a bit. Hard to do to a vampire. "Sky. We'll be off as soon as Cad and Nephalei get here." The horses were ready and so was the driver. She saw them off in the distance. "Come on you two, hurry it up." She sometimes forgot that not everyone was as fast as a vampire, or a cheetah for that metter.

"If you hop on my back... i can get there quicker then horse. Othres catch up."

It was ahrd for him to make such an offer since he was so sensative about these things. He did find it a bit demeaning but anything to help out his new home. He knew the value of defense.
