"You need not worry over the condition of my soul, pup. You should worry about your own, lest it go forth unto perdition. Perhaps, after I deliver the finishing stroke, I will feel generous enough to read your Last Rites. Of course, there's always the chance that I won't, which is, as of right now, looking like a certainty."

Gawain shook his head, wondering for the first time why he felt so drawn to fight this man. Sure, he had designs on his daughter, but he could handle that without bloodshed. Something else, maybe the tone in which Benjamin spoke to him, was egging him on. So, instead of allowing himself to be drawn out like a yearling pup, he crossed his arms and smiled. "I feel sorry for you, Benjamin. I see nothing but dissapointment in your future, and it makes me feel that way. Perhaps in another time, another place, you and I would fight, and one of us would die. However, I have blood enough on my hands, and not enough time to give you the attention you deserve. I will be taking my daughter out of this realm now. Do not impede our way. To do so would be, I am afraid, quite lethal to you." He sighed, shaking his head once more. "The posturing and threatening phase is done. You are a fool to have picked my daughter to harass. Therefore, fare well, fool. Pray that we do not meet for awhile. I woud hate to do something that you would regret."

With a speed that would have caused a normal human to wonder how he was in two places at once, leaving an afterimage of himself, he was back at De'Ryanna's side, hand out. "Are you ready to go home, dear? I can teach you the wards when we wake to protect your dreams from that fool. They were taught to me by...well, someone who was very good at such things. At any rate, come. I have sensed a presence within the Inn that makes it imperative for us to greet."

De'Ryanna had watched all of it from her spot by the cart, only calming down a little after Gawain had gone to speak to Benjamin upon the wall. Curiosity had won out over fear and she very well couldn't hear anything if she were back there.

Unfortunately, she didn't hear much of the exchange that went on between the two men, just a snatch of a word her and there, but the whole scene was impressive and it made her feel anxious. Why? She didn't know. Due to that she was unable to form the weave that would have enabled her to clearly hear what they were saying.

Then, before she had much of a chance to get close, her father was before her again, looking like he had earlier. She, on the other hand, was not. De'Ryanna's attire had changed from the skirt and shawl of a Sister to Novice White; and she had the wide-eyed expression to go along with it. She looked at the hand he offered before giving a nod and taking it.

"I'm ready."

Gawain smiled, confident that his task was near completion. "Then the time has come for us to depart. I have faith in you, dear, that the Cour'Souvra will not be completed. You're much too strong to fall into a Soul Trap, and you are much too smart to be tricked into such. If I find that fool in the real world, I am afraid I won't be responsible for my actions unless he surrenders it to me willingly." The mere thought of such madness being perpetrated upon his daughter caused him no end of anger, but he concentrated on the good.

"Well, my daughter, are you ready to go and seek out your mother? She's arrived, and I'm dyin.....I mean eager to see her. Come with me?"
