Krystal looked up and saw her brother standing at the door. It had been a long time since she had seen Dre. She stood up slowly, she was sore from the invisible beating, but she still managed to go to over to her brother and give him a hug. "Dre!! Oh it so good to see you."

He smiled as he saw Krystal. As she hugged him he picked her up and tightened the hug.

"Did you have to much fun with a man last night Krys? I told you about that."

He chuckled and set her down.

"Now what happened here?"

Krystal winced as Dre tightened the hug, but she didn't complain." No scaley butt, I didn't. Weirdest thing, I was helping Mom sort receipts. Next thing I knew a gust of wind from no where blew everything on the floor. When I went to pick them up something started beating me."

Seleen was headed out to go to her room, provided that Tasha was done in there for the night. As she passed Dre she smacked him playfully with the back of her hand across his pectoral muscle. She smiled and winked as she walked out the door, somehow lacking her usual grace in movement.

He laughed. "Well good thing we know you like your beatings Sis."

He stood there laughing, until he was smacked that was.

"Hey! What I do?"

He watched her walk away and laughed. "You and Krys here ride the same horse Seleen?"

She stopped and smacked backwards, making contact with his scaly behind. "Talk to you guys later." And she went to her room.

" Ha ha Dre, verrry funny, and since when do I like beatings. Bye Seleen."She couldn't beleive he was being so nonchalant about this. Normally he would have been asking who's butt he need to fry. Even if he thought she deserved it, he did have a tendency to be protective. She narrowed her eyes a bit."HEY!! You didn't have anything to do with this did you?

He rubbed his arse, jumping a little.

"Wow she needs tog et vithed and bad. She is moddier then mother and that is bad. Only person I know who needs it more is you little Sis."

He made sure he said it loud enough for Seleen to hear, then hit her with a blast of him doing what he said. He had to. He looked at Krys.

"No I did not do this. Am not that mean. Besides mom will handle it. She handles everything."

Yep he had changed a little.

He did have a point, Mom would handle it whether it was him or not.. She let it go at that. "So what have you been up to big brother, it has been a while since I have seen you.

"Same thing I am always up to Little Sis. Dancing and Forging."

No need to tell her all he had been through. no need to have her become a worry wart. He reached up and ruffled her hair and grinned.

"Still breaking males hearts I see, and staining your dress." He winked and then laughed like mad.

Seleen grabbed the door handle to her room and nearly dropped again. ~Damn it Dre.~ She listened for a moment, Tasha wasn't in there alone. She sighed and leaned her back against the wall. It was late, and she was tired. Sunrise was only a few hours away. She had no idea how Tasha dealt with the full moon, but she knew how she wanted to deal with the sunrise in a few hours.

She drew her knees up and folder her arms over them. She laid her head on her hands. She was happy, blissful even, but she was tired. She was still getting used to not sleeping all day. It seemed like Venis and Tasha never slept, and she was trying to keep up.

She let Krys run to Dre as she sat down on her bed. She leaned forward and put her head in her hand. With her other hand she held onto the bed for balance. She wasn't angry over the visions, she was rather happy to have those memories to call on. She loved those particular memories very much in fact. But she was having a harder time than she was letting on.

She just sat there, listening to her children and holding her head in her hand. She would get passed this, she knew she would. But she had to do it soon, there was other work to be done. More important things to worry about. She would find time to deal with her own issues the way she always did, in the gym.

'Mom would handle it.' Those words resonated in her head. Of course she would, she always made sure she took care of her children. Her children, her husband, her best friend, his family, their friends, the rest of the innocents in the world, then herself. So at least she was on the list somewhere.

She held no grudge for what she was and what she had to do, she made her choices. She just wished that there was someone to take care of her once in a while. Not that she was never taken care of. She just missed her husband, and there was lust and love all around her. It honestly was making her more ill than the little bits of pain and misery she was feeling.

Seleen got up and figured she would leave a note, she needed to get some sleep. She pulled some paper and a pen from her pocket.

Went to go crash on the couch in the men's suit. Need some sleep.

She signed it at put it in the edge of the door. It was a good thing that she kept a pen and a little notepad in her pocket at all times. She headed two doors down, bypassing Venis' room and went to where the men slept. Knocking on the door, Manny answered and let her in and she went to crash on the couch.

Madeline noticed her mother with her head in her head. Shelooked tired and weak."Mom, why don't you go lay down for a bit you look tired.

Dre, would you like me to buy you a drink at the bar. That way we can catch up, and Mom can rest. There is something I want to discuss with you.

Mom, I'll do finish sorting the receipts when I get back."

She looked up at Krys and Dre. "I'm fine. I'll sleep when I'm dead ... Oh wait, that happened three hundred and eleven years ago. I'll sleep when the world ends. No, you two go ahead. I'm going to get some more work done." She got up off the bed and picked up the rest of the receipts.

"Mom, I really think you need to take a break. Now leave those receipts alone! Krys walked over to her and took the receipts. I'll take these with me and sort them, while I talk to Dre." Krys knew not to argue with her mother, but at the same time she wasn't going to take no for an answer.

"Come on Dre lets let Mom rest."

"Krystal Ann Crow. I said I am fine. I just slept for damn near ten years. I think I can stay awake long enough to get my work done. You can take the receipts if you wish, but I have work to do. Too many things went wrong with me not here to protect everyone and I have to get it straightened out. I will get some rest later. I promise, eight hours before I start the sparing matches. Now you two go catch up. I've got stuff to do."

She walked over to her desk and sat back down. She hadn't raised her voice or even had a hint of anger to her voice. She was perfectly calm and collected as always.

"Yes Mother and I'm sorry, I just want to make sure you are OK. Krys knew not to say anything more. Even though her mother didn't get mad or raise her voice, she knew not to say anything else. She felt like she was 17 again with her full name being used. What made it worse was the fact she knew for a fact Dre would rag her about it for at least a month.

She picked up the receipts and walked towards the door. "Come on Dre, I'll buy you that drink."

He looked from one woman to the other. Hell maybe both of them need to get laid. He shook his head and spoke softly, "Krys you know mother is to vithing dayum hard headed to take care of herself. So do not apologize for looking out for her. We have to, we are family. But tact is an important thing to learn." He smiled at her and then looked at his mother.

"And you mother. For one, your daughter was trying to look out for you. You put everypone else first that you are going to burn the vith out...again. Two, you have been resting a month and I know for a fact you are not up to your full strength. So quit biting the vithing hand off that is trying to vithing well help you. I know you are dead, but your heart still beats. So guess what, others care about you. Now you vithing well relax and that is a vithing request or I will surely vithing make sure your arse is tied down to relax. Krystal, those vithing recipetsw stay here or by the Dirty Bird himself, I will burn every last vithing one of those and you two will have to have your thumb up your arses figuring things out. He smiled to Krystal as he did it and said. "See tactful is the way to go."

"Now as for the drink. I think mayhap it is best that drinks be brought up here. My treat. This way we can make sure that none of us work and that we all relax and that we act like the vithing family we are suppose to vithing well be. Any vithing objections, take it to the complaint department. By the way they are out to lunch. They were good with ranch."

He gave a toothy grin, and blew a kiss at each of them. He then pointed to a spot for the recipts to go and a spot for his mother and siter to sit and relax. he stood there pointing to all three in turn again. Daring them this time to defy him.

Krys was a little surprised to see Dre taking up for her. She did as she was told and put the receipts down where he pointed. She was impressed. Ohhh I get it , tactful. Very Tactful. She smiled. Then she turned to her mother to see if she was going to do what Dre said.

He had been in the room waiting on Kat, she had said she had to go to the front desk but had yet to return. He had gotten dressed, leaving the shirt behind since it was scorched, and was starting down the hall when he heard a commotion. He stopped dead in his tracks.

It could not be. Was that the Beastie? he had to find out, and with those quiet footsteps of his he moved down the hall. A smile erupted on his face as he stood there and listened realizing it was the Beastie.

Mother? Sister? The Beastie had family besides that pointy eared thing. He shook his head, elves they were called. And she was a wood elf. Sheena. That was her name. Maybe he was not so wool-headed after all. But that was not here or there. he had said Mother and Sister. What the wind Blast was going on? Well one way to find out.

He stepped forward and crossed his arms then said,"Du ye be mindin? There du be sum of us who du be restin. Ye du be carryin on like what du be a snow wolf that ded be gettin an ember in the bollocks. Du ye be torturin what du be these lovely lasses wit what du be yer hideous smell Beastie? Ye du be smellin worse then a pile of Stone troll dung. Mayhap it du be that harpy like sound ye du be emittin. Hard tu be believe ye du be callin that Wind Blasted sound a voice."

He stood there, a smile on his face. He truly hoped he was remember, or he knew that he was a dead man now. Maybe he was wool-headed after all.

Krys looked at the stranger in the door way and crossed her arms, and grinned. "Brother I believe this man called you a smelly harpy. He must be a friend of yours, he sure does know you well enough."

Dre was yelling at her again. Right hip shot out, left leg extended out to the side, toes pointed to the side, right hand came to rest on her hip. This was not the usual posture of The Goddess, then again, her son didn't usually yell at her this much. But she did not yell in response. "Look, child of mine, I already said that I am fine."

She watched her daughter put the receipts where he had told her to and she smiled. Without even so much as raising her voice. "I am fully capable of getting my work done so please, just get off my ..." That was when the man appeared at her door speaking to Dre. She listened as he spoke. The last thing the man said was 'Hard to believe you do be calling that Wind Blasted sound a voice.' She burst out in laughter, not because of how the man spoke, but because of what he had said to her son.

"Dre, sweety, I do believe he just got all up in your grill." Oye, she had spent too much time back on Earth. She contained her laughter and composed herself before going to sit down.

He looked at them both, his mother striking that pose. He did not yell, he spoke rather forcefully. He watched as she started to defy him and figured that was normal. Here she wanted him to be stronger, but yet not even she would listen to him.

He was shaking his head, when he heard a voice from his past and his mother laughing. He was turning around as his sister made a smart arse comment. He grinned and let his tail hit her in the shins, rather hard. Whomever said that was dead.

That was when he saw him. The white hair was a dead give away, but to make sure he turned him so he could see; along with both women in the room; the brand. That was when his face broke out into a huge grin and the man was smacked on the back.

"Stormbringer! As i live and breathe. Thought you be dead by now." He laughed and looked at the man. "Kitty Kat with you? How you been? When did you get here? No new marks I see."

This was a pleasant surprise. He was glad to see yet another of his old running buddies and knew the inn was in trouble now. He shook his head and laughed.

Heard the comment and the laughter. Wind Blast! He really really stepped in it this time. That was when the Beastie turned, and hit his sister. Ouch! He knew that hurt from personal experience and knew it would leave a mark.

He was then turned, and he knew what the Beastie was looking at. Guess not to many would have the mark he did. But he was smacked ont he back and took a step forward to keep himself up. He laughed himself, the sound like distant thunder.

"Aye Beastie, it du be me. Though I du be wunderin why I du be amongst de livin me self. Many du be tryin fter ye ded be takin off. I du be glad we ded be takin off fter what du be our last job." He waved his hand to slow down the Beastie.

"Ye still du be rattlin yer bone box what du be like a dwarf who du be havin a wee bit tu much of what du be his own ale. And i du be seein that ye du be chargin in tu things what du be like an avalanche still. Du be gud tu be knowin how sum things du be nae a changin. Kity ded be here. Du be thinkin she ded be leavin again. Ye du be noin women what du be better then I." He said that and looked up at the two ladies, his icy blues flashing int he light.

"I du be sorry. Ded nae be meanin anythin bad by it, ye du be understandin. Just that the Beastie here, well he du be havin a way wit the lasses. What du be makin them smile and du be makin them madder then what du be a mountain troll that ded be gettin stuck in the bollocks wit what du be a hot poker. Why there du be this one time that we ded be run out of town...." He stopped and laughed.

"Guess it du be my bone box that du be rattlin tu be much. I du be well Beastie. Du be here fer waht du be a few weeks now. And aye nae be any knew marks. Nae many du be havin the time tu be hirin one that du be like me." He shrugs. "Du be gud I ded be savin what du be my money."

He flashed a smile again and looked up at the Beastie. It was good to see him again. Though had to be a Wind Blasted good reason to see him above the first floor of a place. That was when he took in the other two women. Sister? Mother? Nope he could not see it. But there was times one did not see the mountain's edge with the sun in your eyes.
