Re: Homesick, with Options?
He let out a laugh. "And why are you calling collect? Are you saying I'm cheap?" Curious no? Unless it was because she didn't want them to know she was calling from the guys phone?
That was true, there was not going to be any flames shooting from his finger tips, no objects being tossed without seeing him actually lift them to throw. He just gave a bit of a shrug and a grin, because he could very well have surprises for her or he could just be how he was still.
He did have a rep, and whatever happened behind closed doors did not hinder it, in fact they probably would simply add to it. Grin.
When she got up and tossed the phone onto the bed he didn't move. Not until she was back on the bed again, and then he moved in a perhaps not expected move because he suddenly had her pinned for a moment. He had moved with a quickness, so unless she thought it was about to happen, and if she was mortal like him she wouldn't of had to much time to react. Not saying that she couldnt flip that script though..."What do you want me to do with it?"

What did she want him to do with it? What didn't she want him to do with it was probably the best question and the things that filtered through her mind caused her to take a downward spiral and she made a silly embarrassed type of giggle that ended in a bit of a sigh while looking at him . Being that he had her pinned down to the bed and the -near- undressed state that they were both in who could blame the thoughts?
They were suppose to be talking about the phone, and they were, sorta. "You're already pressing the right buttons." So that may have been corny or sappy but the words came out of her mouth before there was time to censor. She didn't often censor herself anyway.
Vesta didn't move much from under him because she liked it there, though she did shift her legs a bit and attempt to stretch her arms upwards because it would bring him down closer to her. From what she knew Winston was a strong guy and Vesta wasn't exactly in the running for Miss Body Builder so if you were to match them strength for strength she'd likely loose.
"Few reasons to call collect.. one of them being that I'm sure I can rustle up enough money to pay the fees for that type of call." She didn't assume that she was going to use it for free. back home she'd use her friends things - cars, mopeds - but she'd pay them back by replacing the gas. "I'd have to pay you back someway."

Re: Homesick, with Options?
She wasn't the only one with such thoughts, his mind often ventured places, but he was able to control the actions that went with such thoughts. The guy should be awarded a medal for his strength of not just listening to the small voice inside of him.
He was grinning down at her, and when she made her cheesy corny reply, he laughed. His head tilted backwards and a good laugh happened, which caused his body to shake slightly above hers. "Maybe I should try some more buttons." Grin even as he eyed her. Just by looking at him one could see that there was something going on in that mind of his.
When she moved he did have to move to adjust so he wasn't hindering her. That was something he never wanted to do. He did not want her to feel as if she didn't have choices. He would not use his brute strength against her either.
The phone, yes that's what they were talking about. He looked at her like what was she talking about for a moment. "You don't have to call collect. I have a special plan on the phone." He did he had to for it to be able to call the way that she was wanting too. He still was not used to her wanting to pay for things herself and do things on her own. Normally he was fine with that, but his phone didn't call collect and if she wanted to call her family she was going to have to let him do that for her. She was his girl, he wanted to do those things for her. "It won't even effect the bill." It might but he didn't want her to think about it. His hand lifted from the bed, so his weight was balancing on his knees and the one hand that was near her face, his body was not super far from hers at all. The hand that lifted moved to cup the side of her face. Finger tips pressing against her cheek lightly unless she moved away from his touch. "Are you keeping score?" Because that wasn't how he was when he was in a relationship, it had been months and he was either a all in or not in at all sort.

Re: Homesick, with Options?
If they were keeping score on a scale of 1-10 then his current scores would look like the following:
Not being crazy clingy about her wanting to take a trip home: 10+ points
Letting her use his phone: 10 points
Showing initiative: 9 3/4
Couldn't give the guy all 10's or else he might start developing a complex, but he was getting up there! Of course, it was all in play and she would never have thought of it - or, okay she would have but not in a hard way - if he hadn't said anything. There were some things that were important to note and others that didn't matter. Winston still got the winning marks for not being a clingy guy.
The scores kept in her head and she only gave him a broad grin at his question about keeping score. "Maybe...but in a playful way, and you should indeed keep pushing on the buttons." He could push all the buttons he wanted. In fact she was about to push one or two of his by dragging her foot up and down the outside of his leg from foot to knee.
Now that she had a hand free she echoed his movement but let her fingers fiddle with his hair near the base of his head. "Keep being over me like that and the phone call will have to wait." Because she had another activity in mind and said thing had nothing to do with making a call to her folks. The sly look in her eyes and the way her leg was starting to hook around his, Winston had to know what she was talking about.

Re: Homesick, with Options?
It was a good thing he didn’t know about that score card in her head, for it might give him a big head, not that he didn’t already have a nice sized ego without that bit of knowledge. Not that she would have low marks on his own score card for her. She was unlike any other female he ever dated. If she went back home and happened to Google him, she would see that she was the first real girl he ever dated. And he was enjoying it greatly.
He grinned down at her, but it didn’t last because suddenly his head lowered and he placed his mouth upon hers. The kiss wasn’t anything to timid but it wasn’t a harsh kiss that she couldn’t turn her head if she wanted to from it. He kept his body still just a hairs breath above her own.
Slowly he would break the kiss, his mouth just a few breaths away from her own, if she had allowed the previous kiss. “Did you want to make the call now or later?” He was giving her an out, and option for which she would rather do. But she better make the decision soon, he was only a man, not a saint.

Re: Homesick, with Options?
Unlike Pinocchio a blue fairy hadn't made Vesta into a real girl. Wouldn't that have been a topic for conversation: 'By the way, I use to be a marionette.' A little too odd for her but she wouldn't put it past this place that it has actually happened.
On that train of thought, any wondering about Googling him would probably be realized when she got home - if not before since they had those computers in the Lounge - if she had the idea to do so. If this relationship had started back in Chicago she would have been done it by now but here? Yeah, she wasn't too sure what the computer would pull up and if Winston was involved in some form of illegal corporate monopoly it was better she find out at some other date.
Winston had picked up on her intentions well and therefore she wasn't going to do anything to stop his advances, only advance the advances! That hand on his head served to help her keep the connection and further the kiss. She wasn't exactly going to let the guy be safe and cute with the kiss. He would be able to feel her leg tightening around his own and when he pulled away to break the kiss her reluctance was easy to read by the frown upon her lips.
Then there was the question he poised and that wiped away the frown. Her hand slide down his back and she gave a small lick of her lips. "I can always call later." Not like anyone was expecting her to call. Okay, maybe they were, she didn't know, but it had been two years Rhydin time so what difference would another hour or two, or day make?
Being said she arched upwards to close the distance and helped to prop herself up with an elbow so they could reconnect and she could kiss him again while the other arm focused on keeping him with her.

Re: Homesick, with Options?
Drats! He was looking forward to such a story. And it seemed he wasn't going to get it! That was okay though he could handle that.
Did he have a face of a evil corporate monopoly? Okay don't answer that, he well, let's say she would have plenty of reading if she did decide to go on that route. She wouldn't find anything to bad in that way. Not saying she would turn up all roses and rainbows, because that would be a lie as well.
It wasn't that he wanted to quit what they were doing, but she came for a reason, and he wanted to give her the option to back away and use the phone. But now that she wasn't going to, she wouldn't have to frown for long. "Suit yourself." If she wanted to call later she could. All she had to do was dial the number, just as if she was making any other long distance number. "Don't forget the one." No sooner had the words gotten out of his mouth that hers was upon his.
Not thinking about crushing her, he pressed into the kiss, his chest was now laying against hers, his body was upon hers as she had been on the bottom, the kiss pressing her back into the bed. If she tried to roll them he would not hold her down, he was all about equal opportunity. While he was pressing her into the bed, one hand still held his complete weight off of her, his other hand lifted to cup the side of her face, before the hand moved to run along her arm.
The hand that ran along her arm, moved up to her form, fingers running along her side, cupping around her side, holding her closer to him. His lips nudging against her own, deepening the kiss.

Re: Homesick, with Options?
It's not that she had forgotten or even that she didn't want to do the task for which she came - well, technically she did do her task for Winston's back was clean, so the phone was something extra? Besides, it was hard to stay focused while having him over her like that. Even if it was more her doing than his for their current state she'd fall back to saying it was his doing. He could have always told her no.
There was that little bit of a nagging bug in between her ears saying that she shouldn't put off tomorrow what she can do today (probably was her mom as she always told her that), so there wasn't as much gusto and fervor in her return kiss as there could have been. Having your mother in your head was totally -not- something you wanted while making out to your guy.
She would try to squash down her mother by wrapping herself more into Winston, it was easy to do. The other thing? Not so much.
"Mother," she grumbled softly at a time when her lips were not against his, "wait. Alright." Vesta was resigned. Maybe there was a reason she had thought about her mother and the longer she put it off the worst that nagging sensation would become? She didn't know but better to be safe.
A turn of her head and a small upwards push to his shoulder with one hand while her other arm draped over her eyes so she couldn't see him. "Where's the phone..." It was said with such a lack of enthusiasm.
They could always pick up later.

See! This is why he was a frustrated man! Not that he would show it. It was there, just below the surface. And the only thing she would get from him was the patience that he had, in spades, as he pushed off of the bed, and flopped himself upon his back on the bed next to her. His muscular arm lifted and the back of his forearm rested over his forehead.
When she asked where the phone was, he pulled his body into a sitting position, legs stayed out straight. Hand reached out as he found the phone, it was not to far from where they had been, holding it out to her, between his thumb and forefinger. "Here ya go."
He almost grinned as he watched her. "Want some privacy?" He was willing to leave the room, it might be his room but really it was more like their room, with as much time as she spent there, and he liked that.

Re: Homesick, with Options?
"Umm."
Well that was the first thing Vesta said as Winston got off of her and he phone was tossed her way. She caught it - of course - but now that she had it she wasn't quite sure what to do with it. Not that she didn't know how to use a cell so let's consider this being that the girl was having second thoughts.
Maybe it was because her mind was still lingering on what could have happened on the bed even as the Mom-voice in her head was quieting down to silence. Vesta was sitting cross-legged and hunched over on the bed while making a chew toy out of her tongue behind her closed mouth. She still knew her home number but you know how it is when what you want is put right into your hands? Either you're happy or nervous and right now she was being the latter and was therefore stalling.
"Um, yeah...no well," she rocked from side to side a moment and pushed her hair from her eyes back with a hand. "No, you don't have to go. I'm just gonna dial..." as she trailed off and crossed her legs tighter and then cleared her throat even as she started to press the numbers. She didn't even forget the to push '1' first as the thought about Rhydin to Earth call rates passed through her mind.
Vesta paused partially through dialing and looked up at him a second before finishing. Finding something insanely interesting on the sheets to look at that is where her eye focus went as she lifted the phone to her ear and waited for the dial tone.

Re: Homesick, with Options?
(Sorry Crazy Week)
He glanced back over his shoulder at her, and the way she was holding the phone, he gave a small shake of his head. "It's not going to bite you. And the last time I checked people can't actually reach through it either." If his voice had a hint of testy to it, it was understandable, girls and their mixed signals. Now it did have some interesting qualities but that wasn't one of them.
He turned back to face forward as he pushed his arms backwards, stretching out his back, before standing up. Once he was up, standing that was, he went to the dresser and hands found the knobs. Pulling it open he pulled out a pair of blue jeans, which he stepped into right foot then the left, zipper and button were done up in a jiffy. Careful not to catch himself in the zipper, that hurt more then the girl could imagine, and in his state it wouldn't of been hard to get caught in the zipper.
The drawer was shut before he opened the next one, and pulled out a dark gray tank top, in the wife beater style, before pulling it over his head. Right hand lifted and ran through his hair. He hadn't heard her speaking yet, and so he turned to face the bed to see if she had dialed or if she was still waiting for someone to answer.

Re: Homesick, with Options?
Oh she had dialed and her eyes were looking this way and that as she listened to phone going through it's rings. Nervously she was tapping her fingers on her bent knee focusing on something else she could be doing besides making the phone call. Maybe calling was the wrong thing to do, she should have forgotten about it until after her time with Winston. Being unsure of how this phone conversation was going to go was making her a bit nervous and she needed some type of distraction.
She didn't know that she could be nervous like this when making this call!
So she was watching him and was about to say something when the phone was answered."Hi, Mom? It's me," she said and then immediately moved the phone away from her head and just about dropped it due to the shrieking scream that came from it. High-pitched and easy for anyone to hear - though maybe not that understandable in the screaming - was, "Vesta! Vesta! Oh my God! Where are you! Rich! Rich, it's her!"
Yeah that was about the reaction she thought her mother was going to have - well, actually she expected one long and continuous scream so this was better. Why couldn't her brother have answered? He was a dork and geek but she doubted that he would have freaked like that. Instead he would probably be going off at the mouth asking if she got sucked into some inter-dimensional hole. Wouldn't be too far off in thinking that either.
"Mom. Mom." Bringing the phone back to her ear to spare Winston the loudness of it all while toggling the sound button, she had forgotten how loud her mom can sound on the phone sometimes.
With that back in place he could still hear the sounds but it was likely more the pitch sounds of her mom mixed with a deeper tone (her dad had picked up another phone in the house) than anything substantial. The rest of it went like: "Ma--. I. It's not---. I'm fine. No. No really. I'm with ---. You don't ---. " Add in a few frustrated sighs and Vesta rapidly drumming her fingers on her knee and it would be a good view on how she was taking this conversation. Her mother was going on and on and she was hardly able to get a word in edgewise. She was panicking, just as Vesta knew she would, and she was starting to feel that calling was going to cause her mother to have a heart attack!
"Soon. Soon. I gotta go. No. O-okay. It's not --- bye. Bye!" And she pulled the phone from her ear and hung up on the call even as her mom and dad were still going on the other end. Phone placed next to her on the bed she scrubbed her eyes with the heel of her hand and groaned, "I don't think that was the best idea..." Done now though.
"God, I can see SWAT surrounding my house." It may have been an understatement but from what she gathered in the rushed and panicked speech of her parents they had thought one of her 'ill repute' friends had done something to her and a few kids had gone missing so she was listed amongst them. Name in the local paper and news with all the rest of them.
"Okay I.. I don't know. I need to pack and.. and stuff. Get to them before they think I've been killed for hanging up and leaving like that," stated as she slid off of the bed. This girl was confused and worried and aggravated and something else she couldn't place at the moment.

He had started to leave the room, but the look she shot him had him staying in the room, just in case she needed some sort of support. He wasn't sure what he was doing but she looked like she could at least draw from his presence in the room. He watched the facial expressions that crossed across her face, at the talking what he could hear of it, almost had him laughing.
"Yes, because I dare say the image of myself having you tied up and holding you hostage....is actually rather pleasing." A boyish grin formed, what could he say he was a man, a frustrated man. Not that he let that frustration show. Instead at her words he was nodding. She did need to get those things done and it was probably for the best that she did get home to see her parents after that call and the hanging up. "This should be interesting." That was really the only reply he had. Before he let her escape his rooms though, he wrapped her up in a hug, his body heat radiating through the shirt. A quick kiss would be dropped upon her lips. Releasing her from his arms. "Go get your packing done. Don't forget Blink."
