Seeking a business deal. (Open)
Arcadia had come to Adrian before about opening a private practice based in this Inn. It was a prospect that Adrian had no qualms with; He was a world leader, opening new venues for healing was never a bad thing for one's political image. The only obstacle stopping him where the logistics of planning, and funding such a project. It was the planning of those logistics that brought The Lord Count of Wallachia to the Tel'Ranaemyn Inn this day.
Much to his luck, the inn was a common place and as such Adrian did not need an invitation to enter the Lobby. As an ancient man, bearing ancient tastes, Adrian often struggled with modern fashions, and as such e kept his clothing simple, modeling it after the mainstream politicians of the day; especially when it involved working with someone he had never worked with before. Adrian wore a black suit, one would find no label on Adrian's suit, he had his own personal Tailor; born of a family that he himself had used as his tailor since just after his father's final passing into the great beyond. He was wrapped in black, a pristine crisp white shirt, and a crimson tie. Adrian carried with him a brief case wherein he stored potential floor plan's and figures for the private practice.
A B-Line for the front desk, standing strait, shoulders back in his walk, he reached a hand out to tap the bell in order to summon an attendant.

Not now. Not now. Why did someone have to be at the desk now? As it was later on in the day De'Ryanna had plans on settling down to read with a soothing cup of Silver Needle tea and silence for company. Maybe the quiet alone to her thoughts could help settle her down for she knew that her mind was not where it should be in her opinion.
Since she was fixing to have some tea De'Ryanna was in the kitchen meticulously cutting and grinding herbs for the tea when the person at the desk broke her ward. She didn't go right away - she hardly ever dropped everything the instant someone was there - but she stalled just enough. A few more turns of the herbs in the pedestal and she set it down to head out.
Once her nose was free of herbs she caught whiff of the person at the desk before she saw him. Vampire. It's not that she was afraid of them, but there was an incident in her past that resulted in her lack of care for them. The air they carried on with hardly helped her like for them. Nevertheless, he was a customer and the faster she dealt with him the sooner she could get back to her activity.
Her hands brushed down her lengthy skirt once as she made her way to the front desk and around it, her chin purposefully held a bit high in the air.
"Welcome to the Tel'Raneamyn Inn. What can I do for you?" She still had her manners.

Oh, well wasn't this just hugs and puppies? Adrian was sent here to have a civilized conversation to talk logistics for building a house of healing, and he's sent a werewolf. Adrian never really considered himself a bigot, but in his experiences with the kind. they where more often uncontrollable animals with Issues about personal hygiene. At least the one he was met with was able to compose herself well enough.
When she spoke, holding her chin high, Adrian offered her the common respect of a bow of his head in greeting before he spoke again."Good Evening Miss, I am Lord Count Adrian Tepes. I'm told I am to speak with a Ms. De'Ryanna Aybara, regarding the addition of a medical practice to this, wonderful establishment...Would you care to escort me to her?" Adrian's voice one time, long ago carried a thick accent of his homeland. Thankfully such has gone, and his speech was not at all accented.
It may have sounded rude, for him to make the assumption that she wasn't who he was looking for, after all she was the front desk girl, he had no reason to know she was the book keeper.

Fingers pressed against the desk as he told her his name and what he was there for. Epiphany had told her about the clinic that Donald wanted to have made the grand plans that she had for it, but she hadn't mentioned anything about Vampires. She couldn't imagine why . . . As far as personal hygiene went, there was a hint of lilacs what was often associated with her.
Now that she knew what he was there for she knew that this probably wasn't going to be a very quick conversation at all. "Lord Count Adrian Tepes," Speaking his name clearly and with that same lift of her chin - she could be doing it because he was tall, but that was not the real reason - "I am the one you ask after." Her hands left the top of the desk and she moved out from around it. "Surprising that one like yourself would want to support a clinic. Hoping to bank in on transfusions?" Blood transfusions that is and she figured that he knew exactly what she meant. That subtle comment about what he was.
She took a few steps towards the Meeting Hall, her hands up and clasped about her waist. "If we are to discuss business I suggest we do so in the Meeting Hall." Indicating that room with a slight gesture of her hand. "Dealings such as ours are best handled away from easy public view."
She could maintain herself, as long as he didn't do too many things to ruffle her skirt. Hypothetically speaking of course.

Adrian wasn't really rattled at the assumption she had made of his intentions."Surprising? perhaps so, Hm... Would you rather I open a slaughterhouse? I could even forget to assign a guard during the full moon. Unless of course that would be too easy."That was his jibe back at her. A nod offered and he stepped back from the counter."I believe, that places of healing are more apt to put blood in human bodies, and not remove it from them."
"Very well, if you would do me the honor of leading the way Ms. Aybara."A bow, and a sweep of his free hand over his stomach as if to offer the lady first entrance to the room, Adrian was a gentleman afterall.
Not only was a gentleman, but Adrian carried something not many Vampires did, a beating heart in his chest, the one thing he got from his mother that stayed with him wherever he went.

"A slaughter house would benefit both of our species, wouldn't it? Yours for the blood and mine for the meat." She was not saying the pair of them specifically beccause she personally never had raw meat before as food.
The door to the Meeting Hall was opened and she stepped inside, making sure to hold it open a moment so that it wouldn't close before he was able to get to it. Wouldn't do for him to think she had no manners now would it? Once she was inside De'Ryanna went to pick up one of the paper pads and pencils that were neatly organized on the table against the wall.
"Have a seat." The tables in the room were set to resemble a circle with three people on either side of any one table. An indication was made to the nearest of the tables to them and De'Ryanna took a seat, pulling back her chair and smoothing out her skirt as she sat. The pad placed before her and pencil posed in her hand. "Now the owner of this Inn has an elaborate plan for this Clinc as far as archethuir schmantics are concerned and it's my opinion that it will result in blood and sweat."
She gave him a polite, and almost sarcastic, smile. "Unfortunatly those two items do not pay for the supplies we will need." Not with the businesses that De'Ryanna dealt with though this said nothing of Epiphany's grouping. "The money we receive from you will determine how much we can accomplish."
"How much are you willing to give?"

"Oh of course if would, if my species lowered itself to a level in which to drink long dead, cold animal blood.... I prefer my meals to be extraordinarily fresh, preferably still moving..." Adrian's tone was just as casual as it had always been . The Half-Breed Followed her into the meeting room. He had never been inside this building before, it was nice for what it was. a small inn, in the middle of nowhere. it was calming, he could see why Arcadia liked it so much.
When she motioned for hi to sit, he did just that. placing the brief case he was carrying with him on the tabletop, settling it in front of him. "Thank you." folding his hands onto the tabletop in front of him. listening to every words she said carefully."I'm not unaware of the cost and labor required to contruct a hospital, and my contractors have told me that doing so underground would elevate any costs exponentially..."
Adrain opened the case before him and produced a small packet of paperwork. "I am prepared accept any and all costs associated with this projects development. As it was my Beloved Countess that wished the project to be i believe such is only fair." The packet was offered forth to her, it contained various figures and time lines for the project. "Would I be incorrect in assuming that you would like to remain open during the construction?"

If De'Ryanna had to say anything at all about her apparent Vampire business partner the first thing she would say is that he had a sense of humor. She could appreciate a person who was able to take banter -whether playful or underline sardonic. It kept things at a mutual understanding.
Listening to what he said about cost and figures she would nod her head in all the right places to indicate she understood what he said. It was curious to her whether or not this Countess was a Vampire as well as it wasn't uncommon to hear of vampires having mortal feeders. That's what this Countess could very well be and the clinic another way of keeping her happy. Then came what he said about timelines and figures, that received a bit of a questioning look from her.
"Are we to adhere to a deadline in order to receive your hospitality?" Reaching over she took the packet and opened it, thumbing over a page or two before pulling a sheet out and looking over what was written. As was only logical she had done her own research on how much materials would cost so she wouldn't be naieve at this meeting.
Taking these figures into account, as well as any odd-ball dealings of her sister, she thought that things looked to be in order. "We will be remaining open." She stated rather matter of factky. "Relocating our patrons is an inconvience we will not have to endure."
"Just to be sure you are aware, we have our own construction team. Unless you are wanting to donate bodies as well."

Adrian did have a sense of humor, it was one of the few ways he learned to cope with immortality. That and modern popular culture, which in itself probably helped him with his sense of humor.
To her statements of fact, Adrian smiled, it was cute, or at least he thought so. It was certainly grand that she spoke so concisely. She was certainly a credit to her species. "I will impose no restriction of time to this project, nor do I wish to hire a whole new construction team in order to see it completed. Nor would I ask that the inn be closed during its construction as I would never dream of inconveniencing your guests..."
Adrian folded his hands on the tabletop and offered her a nod. "I believe that this can be an extraordinarily beneficial partnership for all parties involved. Os there anything that you would require of me in this process?"

Taking the papers of his she flipped through she used her own paper and placed one under each of his. De'Ryanna took the time that was needed in this to make sure that every sheet was lined up perfectly with no corner or side out of place from the other. It didn't take to long and when she was done with the task she spoke.
"Your flexibility and ease of manner will turn this into a very agreeable partnership, Lord Count Adrian Tepes." The way she said his name held a meaning. One that she was putting to it and when she said it her eyes were looking down at the papers and both of her hands were on it. Anyone attuned to magic would likely feel the slight shift in the immediate surroundings as though someone had plucked a cord. Her eyes narrowed very slightly and there was something being done to the papers that wasn't visbily seen. Nothing harmful really, she was only making a contract.
When that was done she flashed him another grin and put the papers down, turning them to face him and tapped the bottom of the page with her pencil. "The only thing i would need you to do now is sign at the bottom." Sign, make his mark, stamp it, puncture it, didn't matter what he did as long as he did it.

Adrian was no stranger to contracts. Though despite all his work with paranoid human politicians, and contractors to build previous buildings and the like. but never, despite all of that paranoia and careful work on their part to make sure that nothing went awry. never had anyone created a magically binding contract for him to sign. Which was considerable seeing as how Adrian was nearly eight hundred years old that was saying something.
She was certainly a fascinating young lady. when she tapped the page with her pencil, Adrian reached forth and pulled the page towards him, black eyes watching the words on the page, absorbing them completely. Adrian was nothing if not a quickly study, words read over he offered a nod. He sat back and reached into the inside pocket of his suit jacket and pulled from it a pen, it was expensive, extraordinarily so; when you hob knobbed around with the movers and shakers you need to insure you had the biggest and best of most things. His rather elaborate signature was placed at the bottom of the page. the pen was placed down on the page and it was spun around and pushed towards her.
"I would very much like to make this progress as easily and quickly as could be possible. Ms. De'Ryanna Aybara "she said his full name, offering it the weight of power, Adrian was only returning the favor. of course bvy sliding the contract back at her with his pen on t, he was implying she was to sign it just as he did.

The two of them were going to get on well. Absolutely swimmingly as long as neither took up any unjust and blinded cause the hate the other because of species, but due to how they were she didn't see that as a possibility. She liked how he was observant and the subtle things that he did marked him as being no fool.
Like the pen.
Whether or not he knew that she had made the contract binding was not the issue here, what was is the fact that he put aside the pen she offered and produced one of his own. Growing up in Court she had seen some of the more intelligent nobles use their own pens to sign documents that were drafted by others and presented to them and she never understood why until she got older. Now Adrian was handing her his pen and she took it with the smile still on her lips.
Rolling it between her fingers she tapped it on the table once before signing her name under his. It was as close to calligraphic a person could get without a proper quill. When she was done she set his pen down and separated the original paper from the ones she had placed in between. One set was given to him and another to her. Both were identical.
"Our deal has been made." De'Ryanna pushed back in her chair and stood.
