"Bloody hell! Does everyone read gardening books around here!?" Aiden scowered at the thick bound book in his hands before it was unmercifully shoved back onto the shelf where he'd gotten it. Long pale fingers raked through his messy bleach blonde hair as he fought down the urge to growl. It figured he wouldn't find a good book when he wanted one. Just like it figured when he'd woken to find all his white clothing had been shipped off to the laundry. He looked like a flaming idiot in the only clothes he could find: jeans and a large plaid shirt.

When it came to a wide selection of books the lounge of the Tel'Ranaemyn Inn was seriously lacking. Yeah sure, the shelves of the bookcase was full but that didn't mean squat when it came to variety. If you wanted Aiden's opinion it looked like someone had just taken a handful of books and shoved them on there without realizing or caring what the subjects were. And it was annoying as hell.

Having grown up with his aunt, Aiden was used to a library so big it could have easily taken the space of the Inn's main room. Now that was a place where you could get some variety; large ceiling to floor bookcases that spanned two stories and all crammed full of books of every kind. Compared to that, well there just wasn't any comparing.

On the verge of frustration, Aiden tipped his dark tinted glasses to the end of his nose as he gave the shelves another scruntizing look. There! What was that one? Bending down he swiped the last book on the lowest shelf. Like the others this book was hard covered and thick, but unlike them it was black and missing the standard paper picture covering. Standing, he gave the pages a flip through nearly crowing when he saw actual words instead of pictures of flowers. Who woulda thunk it? The place had an actual book after all!

Satisfied now the guy and his prize headed over to the couch beside the television only to flop down on it and crack said prize open. Let the reading begin!

Inion needed to collect more then just her mail. Juliet had told her she had left a library book in the lounge when she was working on her report. She opened the door with nothing on her mind but retrieving the book and finishing her tasks, but somehtng made her stop in mid action the minute she opened that door. His alluring scent hit her nose before she saw him lounging on the couch, she had that moment of flight as her heart raced but she knew he would have noticed her already. This was the first time she actually had seen him since Halloween and memeories suddenly flooded her thoughts. A deep breath and she put a bright smile on her face as she stepped into the room. "Hello Aiden" her voice was warm and soft. She moved with a gentle grace through the room glancing around for the book. It was a casual dress day for her, so she was wearing a pair of jean capris, white button up blouse that the sleeves came down to her elbows and a pair of white galidator sandels. Her outfit was not only comfortable but it also covered up the angry red scars from her attack. Even with her acelerated healing and her glamour magic it didnt help hide the wounds from the sword. Those would take longer to heal and hide.

Finding a good book (Open) Empty Re: Finding a good book (Open)

By the time the door opened Aiden was already three chapters into the book and starting to wonder if it was part of a larger conspiracy theory out to get him. What in the bloody blue blazes was this thing!? The guy had read a lot of books in his time, but none had left his skin crawling like this had. The book was like a sick and twisted version of a badly written romance novel, but Gods, just in the few chapters he had read so far it could almost describe his first meeting with Ny . . .

BANG! The book suddenly flew across the room to hit the far wall before landing in a heap on the floor. A hand came up to scrub at his face. Four years. Four bleeding years he'd managed to go without thinking of that name and now thanks to a stupid book there it was again. Bleeding hell he wanted to forget! He'd spent the last four years trying to forget and here it was, smacking him upside the head like a brick.

He needed to get out of there. He needed to . . . to . . . Gods, he couldn't even think straight! It was all in his head, but freaking crows he couldn't stand the images that came attached with that accursed name. The crackling of the fire, the blood-curling screams; he could already smell the smoke.

He'd slid off the couch and was stumbling blindly towards the door when a new smell hit his nose, overriding the tinge of smoke: freshly baked brownies. The world spun sharply and for one moment Aiden wasn't exactly sure if he was even standing, but suddenly it righted and there he was, standing in the Lounge again. After all that he was left twitchy as hell, but that wasn't going to stop him from the source of this new smell. There was only one person who smelled like that to him and she'd went right past him! Turning around, he found himself staring at the only person he'd gladly sell his soul for if it came down to it. Bloody hell, she took his breath away every time he saw her and all he could do was stare like a lovesick teenager until she spoke first. "Hello . . Inion."

Finding a good book (Open) Empty Re: Finding a good book (Open)

Inion had made her way to the bookshelf, not finding the book just laying around. Thank goddess she had her back to Aiden when her name whispered from his lips. He wouldn't see the blush on her cheeks and her eyes close. It would be her heart that would give her away. From what she heard about vampires they could hear and feel a persons heartbeat. Would he be able to tell hers skipped a beat only to beat like a hummingbirds when it started again. He did that to her, just hearing him say her name caused her weak in the knees and her heart race. OH GODDESS it took alot not to turn around and engulf him in a full on fairy hug.

She took a deep breath and reached out to the shelf, amazingly she touched on the book she had been looking for. Odd how anyone would just place it on the shelf and not think to take it back to the library. It had library markings all over it, but atleast it was in her posseinion now.

Her thoughts kept drifting to the person behind her, and finally when she felt she could turn and look at him she did. Oh Goddess how she had missed him. She gave him a soft smile. "well Aiden its good to see you. I see that....." she took in his appearance and a brow lifted "ummm.... well it looks like you are trying out a new look. Ummmm..... I have to say that it doesn't suit you at all. I think you are suited to the beach bum surfer look." Her tone was light and friendly with a bit of jest in it, hoping it would make him laugh. there was something about his look and manners as she entered that caused her to think something was wrong.

She held the book tight to her chest, almost as it was an anchor, kinda silly really but it helped her for some reason. It must have looked funny her standing there with a library book in her arms, one of those ones that looked like a school book. She was like a high schooler talking to the guy she was crushing on and too shy to really say it. Had that what thier relationship had reverted too? She took a step forward, drawn to him like always. "Aiden are you ok? You look like somethings wrong"

Inion stood quietly waiting for Aiden to say something, and thats when it began. Clips of the nightmare began flashing in her head. She stood quietly fighting them off, not wanting Aiden to see the pain in her heart they were causing. Would he notice her eyes changing color as she was fighting inside? Her eyes went from light to dark and back and forth. Hands clutched a tth ebook tighter.

She stood waiting for him to answer, and when he did she sighed. Stuffing the book in her hands into her bag with her laptop and mail, she started heading toward the door. On the way her foot kicked the book that Aiden had thrown, the minute she picked it up she had a flash of some distrubing sights. She was beginning to hate this new power, if wasn't so random that it was making her crazy. Seeing random images from things people had touched or hearing random thoughts from peoplewas unerving. If only this new power would stablize so she could master it she would be happy.

The images from the book startled her enough to drop it. She knew that Aiden had been reading it, where these images things that he read fro the book or memories from his mind, either way it bothered her. A glance over to him with a worried look in her eyes. She picked it up again and set it down on the nearest thing to her and thanked god that she saw nothing else from it.

Another sigh and she began toward the door again, her fingers brushing along Aiden's hand as she moved past him. There was no pain in that touch anymore, that power she had mastered, it was just the warmth of her flesh on his. She didn't know where thier relationship stood, this might be the last time she saw him for awhile, but she didn't know what to say to him. She moved slowly giving him a chance to speak to her.
