[Epiphany]

Of all the things to give Epiphany, a bottle of Holy Water was the most ironic and so, when Manny gave her the bottle and she found out that it was, she laughed. A couple of quick burst before she stifled them with a cough. It wasn't that she was ungrateful. It was ironic. Like giving a mermaid oxygen so she could breathe underwater.

Another thing that was ironic was the tune Tasha was humming. The song that Manny had brought it, it's words being quite odd for the people in the basement. A song about 'plenty of sunshine' and 'what a wonderful day'. Venis was a vampire and Epiphany doubted that either of them would call this day 'wonderful' accept for the fact that they were slowly getting to their normal selves again.

"Got to love irony. " An off-handed comment. She was watching Tasha make the paste. "Oh and Venis don't worry about me, especially with the pocket money. A lot of interesting things happen with open-ended negotiations and deals. I'll be in the area.. somewhere." Most likely at the docks.

Venis laughed when Epiphany commented about irony. "You have to forgive him dear, after all, he is only human." She laughed a little more. "His song choice does make one wonder though, maybe he knows something we don't?" It was all rather amusing.

She heard her other comment and opened her eyes. "Open-ended negotiations and deals? You had better be careful child. I don't want to have to send my hubby here to ride to your rescue like a knight in shining armor." She chuckled slightly and re-closed her eyes. She was meditating to contain the power from the blood, she needed to hold onto as much as possible.

[Epiphany]

"What? It's ...fun. I got a few of the things I have that way. Like a snow white leather outfit I had made when I dressed up as cupid. I went to the tanner and we struck a deal." she paused with a slight frown. "Okay. So he tried to get a bit more out of the bargain then what was agreed upon, but I always get myself out of things. The outfit was perfect. Like it was made for me."

She knew Venis' concern. It probably banked along the same lines as some of her guy friends who knew she struck business deals in town.

"Some of the bargains are strictly kosher. Like I work the bar or help bring in customers or something." Something. Lot of something.

[Guest]

Tasha's turn to giggle. "Epiphany, you and I simply must chat later." She continued mixing up her paste.

[Beastie]

He returned after some time, looking well worse for wear. But he was humming the same song as Manny was. Even talking to him a bit. He came down with a dead gnome, and at the bottom of the steps he ripped the head off and turned it upside down. He offered it to Tasha, "Want some of my Gnomewieser?"

He then poped the head in his mouth, one eye popping out and landing in Venis' lap as he bit town. He laid a gift at both Venis' and Tasha's feet. In Venis' was a bikini like her last one, but with a few more designs and an added touch. What happpened with the last one in her torturefest would not happen again. Nothing would stick to it this time.

Tasha's was a necklace made entirely out of his scales and had a pendant made of mythril and a few other metals. The pendant was a gothic cross,(see below) it seemed to fit her. It was obvious that he had used fresh scales and blood for both. So he sat back and closed his eyes, letting the pain ebb away. He smeeld of smoke and fire.

He half closed his eyes. It was just enough to for him to rest, but not all the way so he could stay apart of things.

She was still meditating when Dre returned. "Welcome back son. We are almost ready now." She never moved, never even opened her eyes. Until that is, when the eyeball landed in her lap. Then she sat her head up and picked that eye up and popped it into her mouth. "A little young don't you think sweety?" Her arm returned to Kahns leg and her head to her arm as she chewed up the eyeball and swallowed it.

She moved again when he set the metal in front of her. "Baby, is this ..." She picked the item up and smiled. A blood tear falling from her eye. "Oh Dre ... Thank you. You know you didn't have to do this. I swear I have the best son in the history of the worlds." She looked his art work over with a smile and she pressed it to her heart. A cringe from it touching the scars through the cloth of the cloak. She laid her head back against Kahn's leg but held her new bikini to her gripped tight while she re-closed her eyes. "I love you Dre, don't you ever forget that."

[Guest]

Tasha thought his joke was rather humorous. So the took her finger and ran it along the bloodied edge that was offered to her. She then took hr finger and slowly put it in her mouth sucking the blood off of it slowly. "Mmmmmm." was all that escaped her throat as she did.

When he gave her the necklace she held it up to admire it. "Dre, it's lovely. Thank you so much." She got up off the floor and dusted herself off. Even the smallest amount of dust could be seen on the purple and black outfit. Not to mention her stockings.

She walked over to where he had sat down and turned her back to him. Kneeling down in front of him, between his legs, she handed him the necklace and moved her hair to the side and over her head. "Could you put it on for me?"

While she was knelt down one of her stockings came untied. "Dang it, I hate trying to retie these when they're on." She rose up while letting her hair fall back down. "Dre, I hate to ask, but could you retie my stocking?" And she moved her leg back so he could reach it easier.

[Beastie]

He nodded to both ladies. "You are both welcome. Mother, with this set there will be no more skin sticking to it and such."

He looked at Tasha and nodded at her request, "Purple does do you great justice sister." Of course he was a male so there would be a stirring, but he quelled that with the knowledge that this was his Sister. He did up the necklace for her and then looked at her as she stepped back. He was a heck of a site with all the scales missing.

She wanted himt o do what? His eyes opened a little wider at that, but he nodded. He could not refuse his sister after all. He reached up with his taloned hands and did up the stocking to match the other one. A talon pricking her skin a little on accident.

[Guest]

Venis was silently meditating, until Dre spoke. "Dre, I do wish you would quit calling her that. We keep trying to tell you that Tash is not your sister dear, you're truly making me feel old thinking I have so many children." Back to silently awaiting Seleen.

[Beastie]

"I wish you make up your vithing mind mother. You are the one that introduced her to me as my sister, and now you are telling me she is not. Do not do that to me. My poor ummm...umm heart can nto take it. There is to much going on right now for you to be telling me that. " He said.

He looked back at Tasha and said, "Purple does fit you. Good thing it is my fave color too."

[Guest]

Having no recollection of introducing her that way, and needed to save her strength she decided to not argue about it. "Sweety, we can argue about it later if you wish. I'm sorry to have stressed you more." She didn't want a fight or an argument, she wanted as much peace as possible. After all, Seleen would be back soon.

[Guest]

She stood there for a moment watching their exchange. She sighed and shook her head. She turned and leaned over to whisper in Dre's ear. "You can call me what ever you wish, but I am not your sister, not in that way. I have parents, may the rest in peace, and two sisters. That's all. But you may call me whatever you wish to call me."

She sat up a little and spoke a little louder. "Thank you, for the necklace, for putting it on for me, and for tyeing my stocking." She put her hand under his chin and pressed a soft kiss to his scaly lips. While doing that she reached behind her and ran her finger over the knick on the back of her thigh. When she sat up she sucked her own blood from her finger slowly and went to sit down knowing the bleeding had already stopped and the knick would be gone within seconds.

[Epiphany]

Epiphany listened to what was being said between Venis, Tasha, and Dre and found it interesting. Talk about brothers and sisters. In fact, in some places and cultures, brothers and sisters married each other all the time. Not something that she would do but, it worked for others.

It was almost funny, seeing Dre react to Tasha. Hiding her grin she went back to thinking about the task she was about to do. Dre was here, only one person was missing.

[Beastie]

He looked at his mother, hurt. Why did she always think he was arguing? Why did she always make it seem like he was a little Beastie telling fibs to get out of trouble. Maybe one day his mother would see him as the man the had become and recongize that.

He looked back to Tasha and nodded, whispering a thank you. His eyes wide at the kiss on his scaley lips. Sometimes it was good to be all black. His tail shuffled behind him, which brought a grimace to him.

He decided he needed to clean and wrap the places he had ripped of scales. That and knowing he could not go into drow for for awhile.

"Excuse me for a bit ladies. I am thinking that it be best if I cleaned up and dressed these. Do not need bloodsuckers attacking me cause of it." He chuckled and started for the stairs humming Zip-a-dee Do-dah

[Guest]

She shook her head hearing the song. "Dre, want some help, still a healer ya know. I can bandage you up. Put a little pain killer ointment on there too if you want." She thought it would be another good excuse to leave the room. She was still feeling a little like a caged kitty. She leaned forward and picked up her medical bag incase he said yes.

[Beastie]

He nodded his head from the foot of the stairs. "Sure, that would help wonders. I need to find where my room is," looks at Pip since she checked him in.

"Besides I am sure I will miss a few spots and do not need to give someone any more strength then she already has. And no worries Tasha, I do not have to remove the loincloth. Not that stupid,' he chuckled at that.

[Epiphany]

They were going to leave her alone with Venis? How could they! Things would be fine. She and Venis were on good terms.

Where was Dre's room? She had to think about it for a moment. Seemed like forever since she had checked him into the Inn. "Ground floor in the second wing. Second wing is accessed on the other side of the garden path. Go in the building and make a left." Yes, she was positive that she had it right. He had his key, it should have been labeled 'G4'. That should help him locate his room on that level in case her directions were wrong.

It was a room that he wanted, ground floor and lead to the outside by means of bay doors. The room was also, hopefully, large enough for someone his size.

[Beastie]

He nodded his thanks to Pip and asked, "The money I gave you was enough correct? If not I can earn more. As we see I am built to do most things well. "

He waited for a moment so Tasha could catch up with him and Pip could answer.

[Epiphany]

"You are covered Dreconis." Being that she didn't know him that well, she probably shouldn't call him by the shortened version. "Besides... I think that your mother was going to cover any overages or anything. But, if you would like to help out anyway, volunteer your services, I'm sure we can find something for you to do."

She could find something for Dre to do. That gave her an idea. Perhaps she should put up a list of things people could volunteer for.....

[Beastie]

"No Epiphany, it is not Drecos. It is Dre. You helped my family, means we are friends. As Far as overages, I will pay for them. Am a big boy now. Let me know and i will help if I can."


He said then up the stairs he went. The creaking getting louder. he did not know how much more weight these things would take. This had to end soon.

[Guest]

Again Tasha jumped up from her chair. The click of her heels resonated as she caught up to Dre and bound up the stairs behind him. "We'll be back." And they were up the stairs and gone.

Venis sighed. "You know, I love my son so very much. And he's right, he is a man and can take care of his own bills. If he wants to I will let him. But he just doesn't understand where I'm coming from. He thinks I'm trying to treat him like a child ... I'm just trying to show him that I love him and that I've missed so terribly much."

She sighed again. "I just want to be a good mother, he feels abandoned, I hurt him so badly Epiphany." Blood tears rolled down her face yet again.

[Epiphany]

Epiphany didn't have any children so she may not be the best person to give parenting advice. More importantly she was not someone people went to when they needed to be consoled - she was bad at that - nevertheless, there was a lot to be said for trying.

"He's also a man.. or.. male." Man? Could he still be classified as a man though he was a Dracon? "It's satisfying for them to know that they don't have to depend on a female to take care of them, but that they can take care of themselves, and even the female, as well. As a mother I'm sure you show you love him and that you're sorry for letting him feel that you've abandoned him after all these years but, sometimes when you love someone, you have to let them go." She didn't mean 'go' as in leave them, but in terms of letting them stand on their own two feet.

"As for being abandoned, he'll come around eventually. He only wants that you recognize him for the grown man he is, and not the young person he was before you two separated ways. That is probably the best way to show how much you care for him." Epiphany nodded as she twirled the chain of the pocket watch. She had been doing it the whole while she was talking. Habit.

[Guest]

Yet another sigh. "I know he's grown. I guess I'm just over compinsating out of guilt. So many bad things happened while I was gone. And it's very hard for me to even let him out of my site right now. I would give my life for my children. I just want them to know that, I want them to understand that if I had been given a choice I would have never been gone from them for so long."

She whiped her eyes. "Dre feels like I left him out of things because I feel he's too weak to have gotten involved. But that was not why I hid him an Kahn from Vlad. It was because I did not want Vlad to torture me in order to get them to bent to his will. I didn't want to give Vlad any amount of power over them."

She wondered if she was making any sence. She tried to explain it to Dre, but he wasn't understanding that. She could not turn the God of War or the God of Death over to Vlad, even if they weren't her son and husband. She just couldn't do it. He would have used them for more than just to get his granddaughter back. They would have never been free of him.

[Beastie]

Following the directions given to him, he made it to his room. Unlocking the door, he left it open for Tasha. Looking around he nodded. It would be great, and easily defendable to.

Seeing his pack he, began to rumage through it. Stills of his children, his SBR badges, diplomas, and certifcates all went flying. Some things he kept hidden. Everything that was thrown across the room, was some part of his life. Some part most did not know about. Trophies he had won for Dancing and for his work in forges. And old battered crown from some other time. Endless guild badges.

When he found his bandages he pulled them out. Holding them there as he heard the clicking of Tasha's heels.
