Re: ((Follow the Braid everyone)) The Arival pt 2
Tasha looked over to Venis when she was asked a question. "Hmm, oh, yes, a large metal bowl. Perhaps the cook has one I can borrow. If not there is one at the Keep, I could send Seleen a mental link to bring it with her if need be." She gave the other question some thought.
"Um, no, I don't think you missed anything. Sounds like you have all the bases covered. Did you want some leather straps in case furball and scaley butt wanted to tie you down to restrain you?" She honestly ment it in a purely innocent way. She was just watching out for their safety. She didn't want Venis hurting them or vice versa.

That sounded like a good idea. She hadn't thought about that. "I have some leather belts, but they might give under presure. If you have some to add to it, in your stuff, that might help. It's a good idea. Anyone else before I send Manny on his way?"

Re: ((Follow the Braid everyone)) The Arival pt 2
Guns, stakes, all the precautionary measures, she remembered that they were just in case Venis got away. On reflection it was a good thing that she was going to be in another room during all this. She still had to get her item from her room.
"I'm not sure how much fun I can be at a club. I ever tell you I'm a shy person? Though I have danced on a bar a couple of times." Sure, a shy person can dance on the bar if given the right incentive. "Maybe we can get some of the other girls to come. And I'm five-five." Heels? Epiphany only wore heels - spike heels like the one's on Tasha's shoes - two or three times. "And I have.. costumes...." to her they were costumes. The short, banking on sexy, items.
Since the step might get pretty busy, Epiphany changed locations. Standing and leaning against the wall instead with one foot propped up on the wall. Attractive? Maybe not right now in jeans and an overly large shirt that was tied with a belt at the middle. They were a bit dirty. What had she been doing before she arrived at the Inn and saw those carriages?
Could Venis need anything else? "Um.. " she cleared her throat. "I have restraining chains that were given to me...." she kinda looked off as she said that.
Re: ((Follow the Braid everyone)) The Arival pt 2
Chains? Epiphany just said chains. A lymric from her younger days came to mind and she giggled. "Should I give the guys a whip too V? I love the chain idea." She giggled again at the lymric.
"So, Epiphany, you're only two inches taller than me. And you look like you're about one size smaller. That's ok, I can work with that. What kind of costumes?" Now she was a very currious kitty. "Are you sure we should leave the men here unattended?" She laughed.

Venis smiled, she looked over at Gawian and Kahn and they were both grinning as well. "Tasha Elizabeth ... you are encouragable. We all know what you were thinking, you're funny. I haven't heard that Lymric since Gabriel, not a fond memory dear. But I think I will pass on the whips. As for the chains ... That might be helpfull." She looked over at Gawain and wondered if he could go that far to restrain her.
She figured she would chime in on their conversation as well for a moment. "You guys are welcome to use And The beat Goes On for a girls night out, but I'm not sure all the women would want to join you, and I think some of the men would like to join as well. But it is up to you girls, my dance club is at your disposal as always." Tasha was one of the people on the list that had free reign of the club, she had even stayed in one of the rooms upstairs once. She made no mention of joining them or not, she figured it would be a wait and see thing.

Re: ((Follow the Braid everyone)) The Arival pt 2
Epiphany, for her part, didn't know what they were talking about concerning the lymric, so the joke was lost on her. Looking between the two she tried to figure it out but there was a lack of information.
Maybe.
"Costumes.. that's just what I call them. When I dress up. There's leather and burlesque, maiden, vampire..." Pausing after that one. "No offense. Really things I have that I consider what you should wear when being that particular person. Like if I were to go sailing, I couldn't do that in what I have on, so I'd change into a different costume." That made sense didn't it? It did to her, but then again, Epiphany had an odd sense of logic.
She scratched the side of her neck. Always seeming to go for the same spot on the right. "Should I go and get them now so they will be here?" Hopefully they would do the trick. They were not ordinary chains.
Re: ((Follow the Braid everyone)) The Arival pt 2
Venis had returned to her spell writting. She saw Epiphany scratching again at the side of her neck and heard her ask if she should get the chains. "Does the bite still itch?" She knew why she was scratching, it was not hard to figure out given she was always scratching and touching the same spot. "That ointment Manny put on your hand, I have one like it but different, all natural and what not, it will help with the itch." She half smiled remembering all too well that itch.
She added. "You can go get the chains now if you want, grab that other thing you wanted too if you can. Save you a trip I figure." She kept writting, she needed to get them done. She wasn't trying to be rude, she was just multitasking.

Tasha scratched at her neck now, Venis had accidently bit her once in battle. It had itched for a while, but it eventualy stopped. Right now the itching was psychosematic. "That sounds cool, like if you're feeling like a vixen you would wear something like Venis would wear? I like that idea." She laughed and left her neck alone, it only itched because Venis had said something.

Re: ((Follow the Braid everyone)) The Arival pt 2
"Even if it was completely gone or.. whatever, I'd still mess with the spot." It was just one of those things.
Tasha had the right idea about the clothes. Depending on who Epiphany was being at the moment, that is how she dressed. Her clothing even reflected her mood at times. People who knew her well could often cipher how she was feeling, and what she was up to, just by what she wore. Though there were times she dressed to 'fit in' and it went against how she was feeling.
"I'll be back..." She had to go digging through her boxes to find the chains, though the other item was easy to find. If someone wanted to follow, she wouldn't mind. Up the steps she went.

Re: ((Follow the Braid everyone)) The Arival pt 2
As she was heading up the steps she heard Tasha and paused. Bending down to see her better she smiled and gave a beckoning wave. "Sure. Come on. Don't be surprised at what you see."
It would be good for Tasha to get out, she hadn't seen the Inn yet and, after all the travel and being put back into shape, she was probably wanting to stretch her legs. As for the room, a person could never be certain what was in her room.
"We could talk or.. something." Something. Epiphany could always make small talk.
Re: ((Follow the Braid everyone)) The Arival pt 2
"Goody. V, we'll be back." She uncrossed her legs and practicly lept from the chair. Her heels were loud as she hurried across the floor the few steps it took her to catch up to Epiphany. She began to ramble as they headed up the stairs. "I'm going to be so glad to be out of that room for a minute. I am getting cabin fever all over again. It was hell being trapped in the same room for all those years, then being in a coffin all the way here. I need some space to breathe. Make any sence? Leviathan, stay girl." And they were gone, through the door and out of the basement.

Venis looked up to see them going. She smiled her half smile, given the left side of her mouth was scared she couldn't fully smile like she wanted to. She waved them off and went back to writting her spells they were going to need. She was happy right where she was at the moment. She never had a problem with inclosed places. And she had her husband, her best friend, and her most loyal employee with her. As well as the animals and the sleeping Angel. She was perfectly content right where she was.
"Manny, why don't you go ahead and go too, get that stuff taken care of for me please. And don't forget that bowl for Tasha. I'll be fine, I have the best protection in the universe right here." She never felt safer than she did when Kahn or Gawain or Dre were around. But she had Kahn and Gawain in the room with her, so she knew nothing could get to her unless she wanted it to.

Re: ((Follow the Braid everyone)) The Arival pt 2
Heading towards her room she listened to what Tasha was saying. "I can only imagine what it had to be like to be inside a box for days on end. One time, while training at the church I work in, I had to keep silent, not move, and stay on my knees for a full day. Once or twice I might have dozed off.." she was pretty sure that she had. It wasn't an easy task. Needless to say, when the day was over she was hungry.
When they reached her room she opened the door. "Make yourself at home." There were many things inside Epiphany's room: bolts of cloth, stray craft items, buckets of sealed paint, blue prints, covered easels, and construction material here and there. Though there were a lot of things, it all had its place.
"Might look like a lot of stuff.. I suppose it is. I hardly use my room for sleeping." She moved over to a chest that was at the back of the room. Opening it, she started to rummage through it.
Re: ((Follow the Braid everyone)) The Arival pt 2
Tasha walked in and looked around for a chair. "I havn't been to church in so long. It was before I contracted Lycanthropy. I went to this huge white church with stained glass windows and a grand steeple and the loudest bells I've ever heard. I don't remember the name of it, but it was where my parents got married and where I was go ..." She trailed off there not wanting to think anymore about that. "So, you said you work at the church? Are you a nun or something?" Tasha actualy had no idea what Epiphany was, only that she seemed pure and innocent and not exacly plain human.
She heard her comment about the room. "It kinda reminds me of some of the rooms I've had. I always have so many things to keep myself busy that they just pile up here and there. Some people thinks it's messy, I just think it means I stay busy."
((It's not exact, but it get's us back on track. When Angel-mun posts again I'll repost V's.))

Re: ((Follow the Braid everyone)) The Arival pt 2
Epiphany was digging through the chest and, if Tasha could feel it, there was a dark sense about that chest. "No, no, not a Nun, though I studied and trained to be one. You see, the church runs an orphanage. It's what I found when I arrived back in Rhydin. I wanted to work with the kids. The church was just like.. a thing." Taking out vials of dark liquid, these were placed outside the chest, along with an old leather book. All these items held that same dark presense.
"The head Nun, Sister Mary-Marks, did so want me to join and become a Nun. That old lady... and the Father. Both of them helped me out a lot. Here it is." Epiphany backed up from the chest. In her hands were what looked to be handcuffs though they were not the typical ones used by law enforcement. They were of a very dark metal with small specks of purple here and there. She held it with a black velvet cloth.
And held it out for Tasha to take. She had to get her other item.
Re: ((Follow the Braid everyone)) The Arival pt 2
Tasha couldn't so much feel the dark as smell it. "Well, I'm not sure I would want to be a nun either. But working with kids? I'm not sure about that either. I mean, I like kids and all, I've just never given them much thought. I don't know, I guess I always figured that as long as I didn't scare other peoples kids it was all good. And as far as ever having my own, I figured I would cross that bridge if I ever came to it."
She took the 'cuffs' and looked at them. "Oh these are pretty." She held them up to get a better look. "Mine are more like traditional ones, only with fuzzy red covers over them to keep them from chaffing." She placed them back on the cloth an held onto them. None of the dark stuff Epiphany was messing with was bothering her in any way, points for her. She had been hanging around with V for too long.

Re: ((Follow the Braid everyone)) The Arival pt 2
Fuzzy...red...covers? That was different and Epiphany certainly didn't have a pair of those.
"I'd say you can keep them but I will need them back. They are kinda.. special. In a way." Though Epiphany couldn't hold on to them for long without a shield, it was what they represented that made them special.
She moved over to her dresser, opening up the top drawer and pulling out a brown box. It was small, almost like a jewelry box. "I'm too young to have kids. Besides, I don't think it's possible anyway." From the box she pulled out a round, golden pocket watch on a gold chain. Epiphany's fingers closed around it and she sighed a bit before hanging it off of a belt hoop.
"I'm ready."
Re: ((Follow the Braid everyone)) The Arival pt 2
Tasha smiled. "Oh, I understand special. Do you think they are strong enough to hold a vampire? I mean, even without being a God, she is pretty strong. I wouldn't want them to get broken or anything." They really were neat and Tash would hate to see them ruined.
She saw her get the pocket watch and hang it from her belt loop. She thought about asking. She might still as they head back to the basement. Well, Epiphany was ready, so she made her way to the door to leave. She had another chance to see more of the lobby of the Inn again. She so loved what she had seen so far.
((Warning to all who know Tasha, she will be seeing the piano on this trip back downstairs to the basement.))

Re: ((Follow the Braid everyone)) The Arival pt 2
Down the hall, they started going down the steps. The concern for the chains made her smile. "If she can break them, as a Vampire, I'll be surprised. Even if she's a strong one." Glancing over to the chains Tasha carried as they went down and reached the ground floor.
"They were given to me by an arch fiend. I may not believe in many....gods. But there is a hierarchy of Angels and Demons. The only reason I can be around that and not have what happen that happened in the basement earlier, is because he protected me from it. The one who gave them to me." Even still, it wasn't something she wanted to touch with her bare hands.
Considering what she was, Epiphany had a lot of things that went against her nature. Things that she shouldn't have.
Re: ((Follow the Braid everyone)) The Arival pt 2
Tasha was just walking along listening and carrying the chains. "Well, I hope she can't break them. I hate having to see her do this to herself, ya know?" Down the steps they went. Tasha was listening closely because it was a great way to keep distracted from her own thoughts.
"So, you're not a nun, are you an angel then?" Tasha didn't think that her question was too private, but she figured that if it was then Epiphany would tell her.
They walked out into the lobby once again and this time when Tasha looked up she saw it. There, over along the wall, standing proud, was the most beautifull grand piano she had seen in years. She froze, her mouth was slighty agape. She was speachless and completely unable to move from that spot. The flood of memories started running through her head. If Epiphany answered her she didn't hear it. The song, the one she had been hearing for so many years, it was playing again. Tears began to fall from her eyes as she could see him sitting there at the piano, playing that song in memory of his sister. The two of them in The Piano Bar night after night. Playing the piano, singing to each other. She went there whenever he was away to feel closer to him.
Her tears continued to fall as she just stared at that piano. She had no way to stop them, no way to control the rush of emotion. No way to close the door on those memories. She tried though, she tried to think of something, anything else. Then she remembered. She remembered the night she was there waiting for him to get home and Onyx came. The Lych was so happy that she was in missery. It was the night that Schala had sealed her doom. Onyx had fought with her. He eventualy ended up crushing her nearly to death. She remembered this pain, but even that pain was linked to their love. It was thier love that had brought her there that night, thier love that took her to see Onyx a few nights later, their love that had driven her to the point of bringing about harm to another living thing by the hands of the Lych. And all she had to do to cause that pain, was nearly die twice. The first time being when he crushed her, the second time being when she retrieved the Necronomicon for him. She gave him the book of the dead, and he made another being wish for death in return. And all for the love of one man.
She blacked out and hit the floor.
((No special magics required this time, I promise. Just a simple mortal fainting.))

Re: ((Follow the Braid everyone)) The Arival pt 2
Epiphany stalled in giving her answer, and in doing so didn't give one at all. Tasha had stopped and so had she, looking at what Tasha was looking at - trying to determine what it was - and keeping an eye on her as well. While they stood there Tasha's mood changed and then, she fell.
Epiphany tried to catch her, but was a little too slow. "Tasha? Tasha you okay?" Getting down on the floor to prop the others head in her lap while and pat her on the cheek. Gently. Trying to get a reaction. There was still a heart beat, Maybe Tasha was just exhausted or dehydrated.
Re: ((Follow the Braid everyone)) The Arival pt 2
She took her key with a smile. "Thank you De'Ryanna." It was then that she heard someone behind her hit the floor. She turned around to see a young lady on the floor. Her friend was lifting her head into her lap. "Forgive me, De'Ryanna, I wish to get the lady some water." She placed her bag upon the floor at her feet and walked over to the bar. She went behind it and found a glass.
She filled the glass with water and carried it over to the two on the floor. "Perhaps, this may help." She handed the glass of water to the blonde lady holding the other ones head. "I fainted once, someone brought me water when I came to, it made me feel a little better." With that she walked back to her bag and grabbing it up, proceded to her room.
((I'm sorry to interupt. Venis-mun said it was ok for Dalia to help. I shall return to my own thread now.))

Re: ((Follow the Braid everyone)) The Arival pt 2
Looking up she saw someone coming with a glass of water. "Thank you." That often helped. Water. Before she could ask the lady who she was, she was gone. Surely she would see her again. Setting the glass down for a moment Epiphany lifted Tasha up a bit more on her lap, just enough so that when she put the water to Tasha's mouth she wouldn't drown.
Taking up the cup again she tipped it to Tasha's lips. "Wake up now Tasha. Wake up. Don't pass out on us yet." She knew it was a bad idea to have her come. Having recently been healed, maybe this was too much on her too soon.
Re: ((Follow the Braid everyone)) The Arival pt 2
Tasha began to cough slightly not expecting the water to be running down the back of her throat. She opened her eyes and blinked a few times. She tried to sit up and was still a little dizzy. She took another sip from the cup Epiphany held before feeling able to take it for herself.
Once she had a good sized swallow of the cold water she whiped her mouth with the back ofher hand. "Thank you for the water. I am so sorry I passed out like that. I am so embarassed." And she was, she was turning a rather bright shade of red. She brought herself to a fully upright sitting possition on the floor. She looked around her and the rush of crimson to her cheeks made her shake her head.
She tried to get up off the floor, but was definately wobbly to say the least. "I just don't know why I fainted like that." She made it to her feet, but she wasn't sure if she could stay there for very long. She picked the glass of water up off the floor and began to drink it down again. "I don't think I have ever done that before."
She was feeling a little more steady so she offered her hand to Epiphany to help her back up off the floor. "I guess I just had a sudden rush of memories that kind of knocked me off of my feet. Or maybe I just need to eat." She kind of chuckled at that last remark.
"I think we should get back downstairs, how about you? By the way, I didn't quite catch your answer to my question from before. Is that the case? I think it would be pretty cool if it was, I have only ever met one before and he was rather angry and not at all nice. Something about wanting to kill Venis because his son-in-law was in love with her. Eh, all in a days work for her." She started heading back to the kitchen and downstairs, she was feeling her legs right again so she was good. Just no more piano for the day.
