-Katyana looked to where the young woman pointed. Still no emotion was shown on her face instead she walked straight toward Dre. She had not seen him in quite a while and they had some catching up to do. She looked back to the young woman and spoke.-

Thank you for your help.

-Walking to Dre's office she looked at him and knocked on his door. She waited for him to tell her it was ok to come in.

He watched Kat. Yep she still moved with the same grace he knew. He might have to learn that one day. Nah1 Was so not his style.

He stood there as she walked towards him and knocked on his door. He just stared at her. Then he walked over and said, "Heard rumors you were around. I last the you come see?" Before she could answer he wrapped her up in a huge hug.

-She was caught in his huge hug the moment she walked in the door. Returning the hug she answered him.-

I am back for a time. I went to see your friend and well I have messed things up yet again.

-She broke the hug and stood there looking at him for him her face would tell everything because he knew her but to others she would appear to be emotionless.-

"It is good to see you Kitty Kat."

His face sinking a bit as she spoke. He was not sure what she meant, but he was going to find out.

"Come into my office and we shall talk. Maddie I am not to be disturbed. Vesta, meet Kat. Hate to cut it short but I need my office and you have a project to start. "

With that he closed the door let Kitty Kat talk and fill him in.

"No problem Dre." Was all Maddie ould say, she did have an idea about putting a sign on his office door that said Dre is talking to his pu****. But she knew he would skin her alive for doing so. So Maddie just went back to work.

-She nodded to the woman and stood in his office when he shut the door. She looked at him not sure what to tell him. A slight shrug of her shoulders, something she only did in front of him and Zephyr.-

What is there to say he hates me for leaving the first time and has moved on to another woman. He seems to no longer with to be my friend.

-A rather sad expression was written on her face not sure what to do. She cared for their friend but knew she completely messed things up and there did not seem to be anyway of repairing that.-

He stood there and listened. When she was done he sighed and spoke softly.

"Are you sure he does not wish to be friends? Have you asked or are you assuming?"

He raised a hand before she could answer. "Kitty Kat, I have know the Stormbringer a long time. I know he does not make friends easily because of how he talks and how little he knows. Not to count his given mistrust for the lowlands. But here is one thing I know, once you are a friend on the Stormbringer's you are a friend for life.

"Now, maybe whatever you wished has changed. Maybe. The Fates like to play games, which we know more then anyone. But I fully believe that he, and I, will always be your friend. Vith woman! Look at all we have been through together."

He then looked at her and smiled, "But I am glad you are here. Now I have someone to bug about things that have to deal with my daughter." Yep there was going to be a news flash.

-Katyana just stood there and looked at him as he spoke and listened to him. She valued what he had to say and when he spoke of his daughter she tried her best to hide a smile and a laugh. He thought she wouldn't know but then again he probably didn't know that was why she left in the first place. But she spoke to the first things first and then would address the daughter next.-

I am sure he does not wish to be friends any longer. Friends that become close do not turn to another when the other friend had to leave without notice and assume that the friend did not wish to be with them. I have seen him with her just recently.-

-She paused there not sure how she was going to deal with these matters but she knew they were going to have to be dealt with sooner or later. Katyana looked away for a few moments and then looked back to him and spoke again.-

I am happy for you and Arcadia, you both deserve to be happy and have a child that loves you. She is quite beautiful and uh....Darkmaneish.

-She laughed knowing he would understand what she meant and started speaking again. But before she did she let out a breathe guessing he needed to hear the rest of this too.-

Do you remember when we got split up when we went out hunting the last time?

-She would stop there and make sure he remembered what she was referring to before going on.-

"I for one do not think that is the case, but what do I know. I am just a male."

He gave a cheesy smirk and stuck out his tongue at her. As she spoke about Kyra he chuckled. "Aye she does seem to fit right in with the family. Father would have liked her."

"Aye. That was a bad job. I never should have taken it. I am sorry."

-Katyana sat there and listened and watched how spoke about the other matter first and then his daughter. She couldn't help but smile at that but her face turned to one of almost guilt for keeping this from him for so long.-

I should be the one that apologizes. I pushed us into taking the job but there is a reason for that. I just hope you will forgive me for it once you know the truth. It was necessary to get where we are right now. But I have to say your father would not have liked Kyra he would have loved her. I am sure he is very proud of you.

-She was stalling and not wanting to tell him the things he needed to know.-

He looked at her and smirked.

"You are stalling Kitty Kat. Besides you did not push me into it, I chose as we all choose. Just like you are being stubborn and thinking the Stormbringer no longer cares for you as a friend. Stubborn elf."

He chuckled showing he was kidding. It was good to be around friends.

-She just stared at him as her eyed blinked with no emotion behind them. She was trying to be serious here and he wanted to make jokes so fine she will get on with it. Taking a deep breathe and letting it out she spoke calmly.-

I was told we needed to take that job to get us here because there was going to be something here we needed. Well you needed and no it wasn't your birth mother either or the familial ties that you now have here. Your mother asked me to find Kyra which meant us doing things we normally wouldn't do. I purposely lost you two the last time to fulfill a contract that I didn't think either of you could handle. All the jobs I've ever suggested that we take and pushed us to take were for that purpose even......those ones that you were against.

-She sat there not sure how he would feel about what she was saying.-

He stood there and listened. What she said rose more questions then it answered. For example, did Sheena know about her and Arcadia already? why was it hidden from him for so long? Why were doing those particular jobs so important?

He just looked at he, his face void of all expression. Finally he spoke, "So I was mislead by yet another female I became close to. Two it would seem, if it is true what you say about mother knowing. Was I just a piece of cattle to be herded Katyana?"

He stopped before his anger took full control. Knowing that in anger, many said things they did not mean. he turned to leave but stopped short with one final question. "Tell me this. How is it you can call me friend and have my side in the dance, all the while misdirecting me and playing me like a pawn on a chess board?"

He did not wait for an answer. Maybe that question was to make her think, as he was off to do. One will never know.
