Shopping with mommy

[Emilia]

Emilia woke early and showered. She had promised Ilúvënis they would go shoping. She needed clothes, and maybe a few more toys. She had asked the stable hand to have a small carriage prepared.

She pulled on jeans and a sweater and then went to wake up her daughter. She sat on the side of the bed and gently shook her.

"Ilúvënis, wake up."

[Lydia Nyght]

Ilúvënis felt like she was in a dream, it was the first night she had slept so well. she opened her eyes, expecting to be back in the orphange, and when she saw Emilia looking at her, she popped up and gave her a hug.

"Good morning Mommy."

[Emilia]

She hugged her back.

"Go take a bath and get ready, we are going shopping."

When she was getting ready Emilia went back to her room and put on some of the perfume JonLouis had brought her back from Italy, and brushed her hair out.

[Lydia Nyght]

"Yes Ma'am."

Ilúvënis hopped down and picked up the pretty outfit she got for Christmas and her new shoes. She headed to the bathroom, and took a bath. She loved the bathtub because it was so big, and at the orphange, they had to take quick showers. She wanted to play in the tub, but she knew shopping would be more fun. She quickly washed, rinse and dried off.

She put on a pretty pink sweater with a grey wool skirt, grey tights, and shoes. She pulled her hair back into a pony tail, tied with a pink ribbon. When she was done, she looked in the mirror and smiled. She definetly felt like a princess. She walked out of the bathroom to see if her mommy approved.

"Ok Mommy, I'm ready."

[Emilia]

She smiled as she took her hand.

"Do you like fruit?"

She picked up her purse as she was walking out of the room. She stopped to lock the door. She put her keys in her bag then headed for the lounge.

[Lydia Nyght]

"Yes ma'am I like fruit."

She took her mommy's hand as they headed downstairs she was so excited she couldn't stand it.

[Emilia]

"Good then we can take breakfast to go."

She stopped in the kitchen and got some, grapes, apples, and oranges, then it was off to the stables.

She helped Ilúvënis into the small carriage and handed her the fruit, then got into the drivers seat and headed for New Haven.

Ilúvënis and ate the delicious trying to be careful not to get any on her clothes.

"Yummy!! Where are we going first Mommy."

[Emilia]

"To get you more clothes, the few changes you had are not enough. Then I will take you to a toy store and you can see if thereis anything you might like to go with you dollie, and the learning laptop you got. Oh and I can show you how to use the laptop."

A few minutes later they pulled up at a childrens clothing store. Emilia hopped down and helped Ilúvënis out of the carriage. She took her hand and led her inside.

[Lydia Nyght]

Ilúvënis's jaw dropped when she saw the nice looking store, and the clothes they had were gorgeous.She wanted a little of everything, but she didn't want to seem selfish .

"Wow this place is pretty. Where do we start?"
She had never been shopping before, she was curious on how it worked.

[Emilia]

"Well, if you see something you like we find it in you size then you go try it on. If we both like it I will buy it for you they wrap it up and we take it home."

[Lydia Nyght]

Now she was confused, because she wanted everything they had. Truth be told, until Christmas she never had anything new. How in the world was she going to pick.

She walked from rack to rack. She pointed out some jeans and sweaters. She loved anything in pinks and purples. She showed Emilia a gorgeous red and black jumper set.

"How about this Mommy?"

[Emilia]

She guessed at her size and picked up a few pairs of jeans and some of the sweaters she had pointed out. She smiled as she looked at the red and black jumper set.

"It is very pretty."

She picked it up and added it to the stack of clothes she had in her arms.

[Lydia Nyght]

"I think thats enough Mommy, don't you?"

She didn't want to sem greedy, and she didn't know exctly how much Emilia wanted to get.

[Emilia]

She smiled.

"It will do for now."

She showed her the fiting room.

"Go try them on and make sure they fit."

She now knew what colors and style of clothes Ilúvënis liked.

[Lydia Nyght]

She did as she was told. She tried each outfit on, then came and posed for Emilia. Luckily everything fit.

after trying on and modeling the last outfit, she put on her clothes, then made sure she brought out everything in the way she had took it in.

"Now what do we do Mommy?"

[Emilia]

"I pay for the clothes, the nice clerk will put them in boxes, and when we get home they will be waiting at the front desk."

She smiled as she took the clothing to the register and paid for it.

"Have it delivered to the Telranemyn Inn to Emilia Tyson."

[Lydia Nyght]

"Cool!! "

Then it dawned on her she now had a last name.


"Ilúvënis Tyson, I like it!!!"

[Emilia]

She smiled, she would explain it to her later. She watched as the clothing was boxed up and then she led her back to the carriage and helped her up into the seat before hopping up herself and going to the toy store.

[Lydia Nyght]

Ilúvënis laid her head on her mothers lap she was feeling a bit tired about after trying on all those clothes.

"Mommy, will you tell me about your family.. I mean our family,.Do we have any?"

[Emilia]

She smiled as Ilúvënis leaned against her.

"You have a grandfather, and a grandmother, they are different. My mother is a druid, she keeps to herself. Her name is Gwendolan."

She sighed, her elven side was clear to anyone with eyes. Her being a God was not.

"My father is the God Eros, he comes around from time to time."

She looked down at her and kissed her head.

"You look tierd, how about we go onto the last stop, we can come to the toy store another time."

[Lydia Nyght]

Ilúvënis yawned as her mother told her abotut her new grandparents. She sat up when Emilia told her her new grandfather was a God. She looked at her confused.

"But Mommy how is that possible? The nuns at the orphange told us there was only one God and he lived in Heaven. and that anything else was just make believe."

[Emilia]

"There are different religions, I am a half god; do I look make believe to you?"

She knew this was going to be hard ro explain when the subject came up.

[Lydia Nyght]

She shook her head no .

"No Mommy, but now I'm confused. I got a paddling at the orphange right before thanksgiving for looking at a picture book about a God named Thor. How come they taught us to believ in only one god when their are others?"

[Emilia]

"Because, diferent religions believe in different things, the nuns believe there is only one God."
