Venis said her name and Tasha looked up from the contents of the bag. She had been looking at the little diamonds while she was waiting for the three of them to return from wherever they were. She put the diamonds back in the bag and started to get up from where she sat. But then she heard Venis getting sick in the bathroom. She jumped up then, tossing the bag upon the seat. "Casie, did she kill someone?" She headed for the bathroom.

She practically swung around the corner as she stopped in the bathroom door. Venis had a trickle of blood at the corner of her mouth, she was leaned back against the basin holding her dress up under her breasts. There was a very large black and purple bruise. She was pressing on it with her fingers. No wonder she had needed to throw up. Tasha yelled, not that she needed to yell to be heard, it was just a reaction. "Casie, Airtia ... I think I need some help in here."

She went over and touched Venis' shoulder. She seemed to be in a little bit of shock as she looked at the bruise. Tasha helped her pull her dress off over her head. She laid it over the bar for the shower curtain. The bruise stopped mere inches above her dragon head tattoo on her left hipbone. But her metal bikini had punctured her skin in a couple of spots. Also her bellybutton piercing was bleeding slowly and the bruise was not showing any kind of healing. She should be healing already. Something wasn't right.

They were back in the waking world and Casandra looked very worn. Airtia looked at her and then held a lingering glance to Venis as she disappeared into the bathroom. Soon Tasha was calling for help. "She didnae kill anyone, got close enough tae doing so though. She 'ad a tussle with a DreamWalker." Though she hadn't been asked she had supplied the answer, not thinking that it mattered too much who said what happened.

She headed to the bathroom. "What's wrong?" When she was close enough she saw what the problem was - Venis was still bleeding. "Let's get her down and stripped."

Cas stood up from the chair and moved to the bathroom she looked at V and just sank to the floor.

"Goddess of Protection or not this is my fault, you are hurt because you tried to help me."

She waited till they Got V back to the bedroom undressed and in bed. She looked at the still bleeding woulds and frowned the bruise was going that have to wait. She removed the ring in V's bellybutton and placed one hand there the other hand she placed over the puntcure wounds.

She closed her eyes and concentrated her hands began to glow a bright blue as she concentrated on the small wounds closing. Once the bleeding had stopped she removed her hands and fell back onto the floor on her butt.

She as still awake but barely. She got up and moved to a chair and faced the bed.

"You can be mad at me later, at least the bleeding is stopped."

Venis watched them all in silence. When they moved her she walked, but she was rather zoned out. They were taking her bikini off of her and she winced and drew in a breath between clenched teeth as they pulled the tips of the flames from her skin. Then they laid her on the bed and Casie came over and put her hands on her.

It didn't take much for her to be healed. Well, the bleeding stopped at least. She watched everyone and everything. She was still a little out of it as she reached her hand to her stomach again. She was going to have to re-pierce her bellybutton again, but that wasn't the issue. The bruise was still there, and she had no idea why, it should have been gone by now. Actually, it should have never been there to begin with.

She stopped touching the wound and turned on the bed. Her legs slid off the bed and her feet touched the floor. It didn't take a second before she was sprinting for the bathroom again. She dropped to her knees before the stool as she pushed the door closed. The sounds of her loosing the contents of her stomach could be heard again. Twice this time.

She seemed to snap out of her shock at that point. But as she rose from the floor and turned to wash her face in the basin she seemed to stumble a bit. But she managed to wash her face and then she opened the bathroom door. She staggered back to the bed. "Tash, got any hungry leaches?" She got back to the bed and sat back upon it. She felt like she was going to fall over. "Anyone have a way to see if I ruptured something? I can't reach into myself to check, and I can't feel anything through the pain." Yes, the pain had her confused as well.

She didn't even care that they had stripped her naked. She was too confused by everything else. "He had to have some kind of extra power behind him to do this to me. Something wasn't right. But if he did this to me, surely I broke his nose at the very least." She looked lost in thought again for a moment. "His fate was sealed with that slap to your face Casie, but if there was even an ounce of me that had pity for his life, it's gone now." She just sat there holding the bed with one hand and her stomach with the other.

Cas watched as V went back into the batroom. This could not have been good. She was to tierd to move from the chair. Kjay was sitting there with his head in her lap.

Hearing V she placed her hand to her face it still stung and was warm. There was a bruise there that she coulden't see.

"The slap didn't hurt as bad as reliving Cosom's death, he was going to ask me to marry him that day."

A tear slid down her face before she looked back at V.

"I wish I knew."

Tasha nodded as she jumped up and headed out of the room and next door to her room. She hadn't brought her medical bag with her because she though she was just picking up some diamonds. She grabbed the bag and slapped the side of her leg so Leviathan would come with her.

She went back over to Venis room and was pulling the jar of leaches from her bag as she went in. "Ok, I want to be filled in here. Lay back V. Who is this he and what in the world happened? I've never seen this before." Tasha was not going to take no for an answer. She opened the jar and pulled out the first leach. She laid it on Venis' stomach and let it take hold. Then she placed two more, one at a time.

She looked up to Casie and Airtia. Then she looked at Venis. "So come on, who's first to fill me in?" She was watching the leaches now, but she was ready to listen to what happened She couldn't check for internal bleeding without cutting her open, but she started applying pressure to the bruise to feel for mushiness.

Leviathan went over and laid down beside Kjay. But she looked around for Midnight.

Cas looked at Tasha.

"A dream walker has been invading my mind aparently for several years. He attacked my mind and I came to V for help, he attacked her and it is not healing properly."

That was the short version and that was all she had in her. She looked like she was about to pass out.

"I haven't slept in days and I need rest."

Kjay rolled over and leaned against Levi. ~Something is wrong with the humans~

"Casandra," Airtia said with a steady voice as she looked to Casandra. "Ye need tae get some rest, yer nae good iffen yer too tired."

As far as seeing if Venis had ruptured anything or not, Healing was not one of her better skills if you wanted it to be painless and done with care, therefore she stuck to mundane means unless truly needed. She moved to stand besides Tasha and kneel down, watching the leeches as they made their way in.

"Venis, why are ye nae healing?" She could regenerate - not instanteously - and knew that Venis could as well. They had removed the objects that had done the damage. "He was evil, Tasha, iffen that helps any."

"Not yet, I need to make sure V is ok first."

She was already nodding off in the chair but they would have to carry her to her room to get her to leave.

Venis had laid back on the bed as per Tasha's request. She reached over and grabbed the corner of her blanket and pulled it over to cover below the bruise where her metal bikini bottoms were absent. Not because she was shy, but because she was a lady. She also crossed her arms over her chest.

She felt the leaches take hold and begin drawing blood from the bruise. She was listening as they explained things to Tasha. When she finally chimed in it was a rather odd thing for her to say. "Casie sleeps here tonight." She watched as Tasha changed out the leaches. She wasn't minding them at all.

Air had an interesting question, and comment to follow as well. So she felt the need to chime in again. "I am not completely sure why I am not healing. But I am going to figure it out. As for his being evil, he was a warlock, a very strong warlock. I don't think even my father was as strong as this guy is. I can't allow him to continue to rain terror down on harmless victims."

She closed her eyes while the leaches fed. ~JonLouis, I need two Death Warrants. Immediately. It is very important that you get them to me right away.~ She opened her eyes. "Ok, well, I need to know if anything is ruptured, so ... Tasha, cut me open." She watched the leaches again for a moment. "Casie, You come lay down, I don't expect you to sleep, but if you are in bed then no one has to carry you if you fall asleep."

She had another quick thought. "I need someone to go and see if the men have returned with Empyrean, Rapture, and Agrarian. Air, if you don't mind please. Ladies ... and companions, we ride at dawn. Now let's get the details hammered out." She was used to taking charge, but old habits were hard to break, and she knew she would end up leaning on Airtia more than normal, just because she had been the person in charge of the Templars when Venis was kidnapped. Things would work out for the best in the end.

She was already slumping in the chair.

JonLouis had been in town preparing for his long awaited date with Emilia. He received Venis' mental link. He hated how that worked, but sometimes it did come in handy. This was one of those times. ~Oui Princesse, straight away.~ He was on foot, but he knew some shortcuts. He made his way into some tree's and disappeared.

He emerged from the woods in what looked like a market place. He crossed the street and went down to a side road and walked into a wall ... or was it through a wall. He emerged again at a long brick wall that seemed to be out of place. People had been vandalizing it and making it look rather ugly, but he knew it was the same on the other side. He walked through the wall and was all smiles when he came out the other side and as back on Earth.

He knew that there was a series of portals that would take him from where he was in Transylvania, back to where the council resided. So he began. Into a tree, out of a wall. Into a mountain side, out into a swamp, into a thicket of weeds, out into a parking structure. Into a cement column out in the pyramid. That did not take long at all.

Venis had always sent things to the council via a direct link, so the information he needed was already there. He wrote up the papers, he of course had to look into the information that Venis did not have so he could fill out the papers properly. Once they were done he put his seal on them and passed them off to messengers. There were four copies. One was to go to the Goddess, one to her husband, one to Lady Casandra, and the other for the records within the council. He had everything done and was ready to get back to what he was doing.

One messenger took his two papers to the hall of records where they would be filed away and the death certificates added after the Goddess filled them out. One messenger took his two papers and headed out to look for the God of Death and Ice. The other messenger would take his papers to the Inn to give to the Goddess and Lady Casandra. Why? Because while JonLouis was at home, he needed to get something.

Tasha listened to everyone and took a deep breath with a hard sigh. "Ok, that does help, thank you both." She changed out the leaches and put the full ones in a fresh jar before placing three new ones in different spots. She set the jar of full leaches aside.

She thought about what had been said. "Ok, so we have an evil warlock (like there was any other kind) who has been stalking Casie in her dreams and he did this to V?" She was pretty sure she had the facts straight. When Casie refused to lay down she got up and walked over to the other side of Venis' bed and propped up all the pillows she could find.

Then she walked back over to Casie and lifted her over her shoulders and carried her over and put her on the bed, propped up against the pillows. "Now quit arguing." She chuckled then. She looked over at V. "Be back in two seconds, I need some things from my room." She took off from the room and headed to her own. She grabbed up her medical bag and another bag as well. She ran back to Venis' room.

Leviathan licked the top of Kjay's head. ~I think someone hurt them, if someone hurt them, then you know what we need to do about it.~ And Leviathan was serious.

Casie was to tierd to argue with Tasha. After she was propped up on the pillows. She looked over at the leaches that were in the jar.

"Am I seeing things, or are thoes leaches fighting?"

~You are right and I will kill anyone that hurts my human~ Anyone looking at Kjay would see his eyes turn red then back to yellow. ~I will rip out his neck~

The man took the papers and headed out to get a horse. If JonLouis wanted him to get those papers to Rhy'Din as fast as he could, a horse would work a lot better. He mounted the horse and headed out of the stables. He started hitting portal after portal. The horse was trained to not stop when it looked like it was about to run into a wall or something to that effect. They had been nicknamed portal horses.

He rode for some time and was finally emerging in the woods outside of New Haven. It didn't take him long to locate the Inn. He rode up the the front of the Inn, hitched his horse to a hitching post and ran in the door. He was already a little winded from the ride, but he ran anyway. JonLouis has said that they were on the third floor. So up the stairs he went, not even bothering to stop at the front desk. When the Goddess said now, she meant now.

He reached the third floor and picked a door. He had good instincts. He knew the Goddess personally, and miss center of attention would have a center room. And he knew her husband as well, and he would prefer a view of a certain area, and so that was the door he knocked upon. *Knock, knock, knock*

Venis nodded to Tasha when she said she would be right back. And she was. But then Casie asked about fighting leaches. Venis sat her head up and in doing so flexed her stomach muscles. "Oouucchhh, damn." She looked at the jar, and sure enough, the leaches were trying to devour each other. "Tasha, do not cut me open yet. I want everyone in masks first and Leviathan, Kjay, find Midnight and the three of you need to get out of here."

She was not even playing. She knew now why she wasn't healing. She laid her head back down and waited. But then there was a knock upon her door. "Tasha, can you get that and let the animals out while you're at it please?" She was not going to endanger anyones health. Airtia would be back from the room that the men were in shortly and she would need to dawn a mask as well. And Venis was going to have to figure out very quickly how to seal the room.

Midnight heard her name, she had been thinking about going over and laying down with Leviathan when she heard Venis order the animals out. She stood up and stretched. She then stepped from her bed and padded her paws over to where she could see the bed. Venis wanted her out, she was going to see why first. She looked around and she too saw the jar. She remembered from when she was a witch that those things were not supposed to act that way. So she headed to the door. She knew what was up.

Now she sounded worried exspecialy when she heard her order the animals out.

Kjay heard V order the animals out and stood insted of moving to the door he moved to the bed and did something very out of charater for him he jumped up on the bed and layed across Cassie and looked at the humans as if daring them to try to make him move.

Venis looked at Kjay, he knew he didn't belong on her bed. He had never jumped up on her bed before. She had to think of something quick. "Kjay, listen to me." She reached over and pet his head and then scratched him behind his ears. "I have an upset stomach, and when Tasha cuts it open there will be something in the air. It's poisonous to kitties. So Leviathan and Midnight have to go out into the hallway. Now, you remember that someone tried to steal Midnight once?"

She continued to pet him and scratch him as she looked into his eyes for a hint of understanding. "Well, if Midnight is going to be out in the hallway then someone needs to protect her. Now, I know that Leviathan will be out there, but she's a girl, and you know how girls are. And I know that Midnight is a mean kitty, but I love her just as much as Casie loves you. So can you go protect her for me please?"

She knew that it wasn't quite enough to convince him. She had to add one more thing. "Look, Casie is right here beside me, in my bed. She is perfectly safe. As safe as she is with you. You know I can protect her, right? You know I love her and will keep her safe. It's ok to leave her with me, it always is." That should do it. He was a very smart wolf, and he knew that Venis could be rusted to protect Casie. The question was, was he going to listen. At least she didn't lie to him. Everything she said was true, she just left out some other things.

Kjay cocked his head to the side and looked at Venis he growled at bit but not to be mean it was like he was protesting being kicked out. Someone was trying to harm his human and it was his job to protect her. He looked at Cas and licked the bruise on her face.

She reached her hand up and scratched Kjay behind his ear.

"Go boy keep an eye on the cats you can guard them and me from just the other side of the door."

Kjay moved off of Casie and jumped down from the bed and went to the door. He was not happy but Casie had told him to go.

Tasha walked over to the door as Midnight sat there wanting out. She saw Kjay reluctantly get off the bed and move to the door as she was opening it. She looked out the door. It was a messenger from the council. "Hi. How can I help you?"

Leviathan rose up, but she went over and reseted her head on the bed beside Venis. She looked at her with pleading eyes to not make them leave. But then Kjay had gotten off the bed and she watched him. She figured she had to go. So she slowly walked over to the door and all three animals left the room moving past the guy at the door.

Tasha watched the parade of animals go out the door, she even ran her hand over Leviathan and Kjay's heads as they exited. She saw Airtia was back. Hopefully with the news Venis wanted to hear. She could understand Venis wanting her pair of unicorns, but why would she send for Tasha's horse as well? It wasn't important at the moment.

The woman that opened the door was not the Goddess. He was worried that his instints were wrong and he had the wrong door. But he figured he would ask "I am looking for the Goddess Venis Jordianthan and a Lady Casandra Lightheart of Claremount. Could you tell me what rooms they might in?" He had the papers in his hands so he nervously shifted his weight from one foot to the other and back again. He knew Midnight, and almost knelt down to pet her, but then he saw the wolf and the panther and thought better of it.

Kjay moved past Tasha and sniffed at the man he growled a bit but then cought a faint smell of JonLouis and sat down infront of the door. JonLouis was not an enemy

Tasha smiled at the nervous man. "I am Lady Tasha Masterson. This is the Goddess' room, and Lady Casandra is within as well. Neither of them can come to the door right now, healers orders. So I can take whatever it is you have for them, I will give it to them straight away." Yes, Tasha had done this before. Dealing with the Council was nothing new for her.

She took the papers the man offered her and waited for him to turn to leave. Just as she was getting ready to close the door Keven and Andrew brought two large trunks and put them in the room over in the corner by Venis' desk. They each kissed Tasha on the cheek as they walked back out the door. Ok, that was odd. But those trunks would have to wait. She looked at the animals. "Be good babies. I will let you back in as soon as I can. You could go out for a little fresh air if you wanted to. Just don't let Midnight go alone."

She closed the door and went back to the bedroom area with papers in hand. She handed each of them the pair of papers that were theirs. "Ok, there is a lot of strange things going on around here. Let's get to the bottom of this." She got four masks out of her bag and passed them out.

Casie put her mask on and looked at the other women in the room. She was not happy about having to order Kjay out.

She looked at the letters in her hand and opened them. She knew they were coming but it still shocked her to be holding them so fast. She looked at V and held the papers tight to her.

"Is it really going to be over soon?"

Venis smiled. "Very soon. Would you care to do the honors and fill the room in on the contents of our papers?" While Casie did that Venis reached up and placed her hand against the wall next to the bed. It caused her to move her stomach muscles, so she waited until the pain settled before she began. She closed her eyes and listened to Casie read as she sealed the room. There was no air escaping that room through any crack or crevice, window or door.

Once she had that done she took a few hard breaths and figured she should just stop breathing. She looked around her room and wondered where she had put those bottles. Then she remembered they were in the bottom drawer of her dressing table. She would ask Tasha to get one when Casie was done. She didn't want to interrupt something so important.
