Gawain had a small, sad smile on his face. Madeline had called him Dad....he wasn't sure she'd ever do that, what with the way certain folks snatched her up and left with her, no explanation. Still, he leaned forward, catching her about her waist and hugging her. He whispered into her ear, then released her, still wearing that mask of a smile. "Sorry, Maddie, when I found out that she was leaving with you, I tried to find you, but she apparently used magical means to leave. No carriage, horse, or ship travels that fast."

Now that was done, she knew, and he felt a little better. On to lighter topics. "Maddie, monkey suit? No, no, my dear, this is a Christian Dior tuxedo. This is prowling attire, my dear, for the discerning carnivore." He smiled then, nodding toward Dre. "Ask him, he's just as much the hunter that I am, and if I remember, just as good a Dancer, if not sometimes better. He has the unfair advantage of the Darkmane legacy. Fists, feet, swords, they just don't seem to work right around that family." Gawain stopped, getting a little choked up, and looked around for a lifeline. Aha.

The food! The ale! "C'mon, people, let's do this thing! The Krow I remember would've been dancing on the table with his kilt a-tilt by now, and well into his second keg! Eat, drink, etcetera! I don't have to tell anyone how to do THAT, do I? And thanks, by the way, for noticing that I clean up nicely, Krystal. Love the new look, by the way. It suits you, kiddo. Ya never looked right as a blonde to me anyway. Come see us later,

He would be having words with some women soon, oh yes. Yes, he would. In the meantime, one would do well to familiarize themselves with Philippians Chapter 2, verse 12.

[Airtia S. Cauthon]

"Then talk we shall." Airtia said to Venis. She was about to say something else to her for there was something in the others voice that almost seemed needing of a listening ear, when she caught ear of what Gawain said. Prowling attire? Just what was he going prowling for? It was a pleasant thought.

Her hand then went up to clasp Venis by the shoulder and she looked her in the eye as she could with the height disadvantage. A bit of an unspoken exchange before she smiled. "Soon Venis. I'll knock." She could enter a room the proper way. "Fer now, I 'ave tae see 'bout a hunt." She chuckled to herself as she went over to the food. She was going to leave any public table dancing to Gawain. She grabbed a couple of ale mugs, filled them and went to Dre.

"Go a'ead Gawain. Start off the table dancing. " A joke maybe before she nudged her brother on the arm. "C'mon brother, share a drink with me."

He watched everything. It was a better turn out then her thought, he knew of only one missing. She had her reasons he was sure. He returned hugs to those that hugged him, and heard his mother say something about greeting someone personally. He looked up to where she pointed and saw Arcadia. He excused himself, walked over to her, and picked her up in one huge hug. "Glad you could make it here. I know it is short notice." He gave her a kiss on the cheek and carried her over to the group before he set her down. "Look who else has joined us," he said to everyone else.

He heard the Furball and decided to speak up, when Air was there with a drink.

"Aye I will, in fact I will with all. Thank you all for coming. This was an idea of mine and my mother Sheena here. It means a lot to us that you are all here. ALL of you. Now before we really do this the Krownar way. How about a toast. How about we raise our glasses to Lord Krownar DarkArmour-Darkmane, The Society of the Blood Rose, all its members whether near or far, living or fallen, and how about we raise one to this messed up family of ours. May it ever continued to be messed up."

He raised the glass high and and downed it all.

"Now if the Furball is going to be dancing on the tables and ruining his monkey suit," he shot a wink to Maddie."Then I say it only fair that we have father's favorite song sung. It has won him a few lasses."

With that he weaved the threads of Wind so that music was heard, he took a deep breath and song his father's song loud and clearly. Byt the end of it even his feet were moving.

Krys raised her glass and cheered in what little bit of Scottish she had learned away from home."Thre slainte fur laird krownar.Fa will forever be in uir hearts an' deeply missed. Hip hip horray!!!"

She arrived wearing a silk dress of purple and a long black cloak keeping out the wind. What was this the Scotsman song. She grabbed up a mug and began to sing and was swaying a bit, when the song was done she moved to Dre and kissed his cheek.

"I'm sorry I'm late Dre."

[Arcadia]

::She couldn't help but laugh as he picked her up in for a hug. She returned his hug and was a bit surprised by the kiss to the cheek as he had never done that before. He must be enjoying himself a bit more than usual. She waved to everyone after he carried her over to them. She whispered to him before he started singing.:

I am glad I could make it. I wouldn't want to miss this for the world.

::She picked up a mug and took a drink before joining in the singing. While singing she looked around to see who else made it and recognized some but not others. She was sure Dre or Sheena would remind her who they were and their relation if any.::

Maddie looked and saw Dre bringing someone to the front, it took her a minute but she finally recognized her. She ran from Gawains side over to her, and gave her a hug. "Arcadia? Is it really you?"

Madeline bet that Arcadia wouldn't recognize her, since she hadn't seen her since she was a child.

[Beastie]

He had brought Arcadia over and then received a kiss on a cheek and heard a familiar voice.

"Cas, I am glad you could make it. Did Kjay come with you? Almost feared...well nevermind. Me and Sheena are glad you could make it. And you know father is as well."

He leaned close and whispered, "Tell no one, but I even found some of Krow's Special Brew for us." He leaned up and winked.

[Casandra Lightheart]

"Kjay is around."

She smiled and when he leaned in to whisper to her she shook her head and laughed her eyes sparkiling.

"This is going to be a long day."

She remembered Krows special brew before tonight was done she was going to be very drunk.

[Beastie]

"Will let you help me spring it on them." He chuckled.

He looked around and then remembered there was Arcadia. He saw here being bugged by Maddie and smiled. "Cas did you see even Arcadia made it. It is almost like a family reunion." He grinned more then before. "What a messed up family we are. The new House of Darkmane. Misfits. Outcasts. Those society does not want. Yet we all fit in here with each other, some how some way. We watch out for each other, protect each other, help each other, fight each other, and care for each other. I think this is what father was really striving for with the House. Not a House of Kindred. But a House where all feel safe and welcomed. I think that is the goal I shall set to.

"For those that have children," a look to Furball and Air, as well as Arcadia,"and those to come. For those that need parents," a glance to Maddie," and those that need siblings. We are the knew Darkmanes. We are the ones who will find new Darkmanes, and it will be because of that this family grows. No matter the race, gender, or abilities. I think that is what Father wanted. That is what he was aiming for, with Sheena by his side and me on his coat tails.

"A family of Dancers. A family of Politicians. Both warriors in their own right and both mixing often enough. That is what we shall be. A haven for those that need it. Mediators for those that need it. And arse kickers all the time."

He nodded, then went quiet as he realized he was to insightful. "I need more ale." He chuckled and went and got more for him and Cas and those around him, and he got Arcadia her first.

"Well done Dre, well done! Your Father would be proud." Krys congratulated her brother then got her some more ale.

Venis had joined in on the drinking and the singing. She felt very proud of Dre as he spoke of family. Sheena and Krow has raised one hell of a man. She knew Krow was watching over them, celebrating him, and he was smiling. Krystal has asked if she liked her hair. She smiled at her daughter and hugged her again. The discussion would come later.

She wasn't sure if Arcadia would remember her, but she said hello regardless. She was glad that she would get a chance to talk with Airtia. But she was mostly just standing within the gathering keeping quiet. There were some odd feelings that she was getting. She figured it best to remain quiet unless some one said something to her. At least for now. But when Cas showed up she did make her way over to her and give her a big hug.

Tasha had also joined in on the drinking and singing. And she saw Cas enter the garden, with Kjay on here heels. And Arcadia was here now too. This was one hell of a turn out. She snapped her fingers and Leviathan came to her side. Tasha pointed and Leviathan looked. Once she saw Kjay she took off to go play with him. She laughed at the mention of Gawain dancing on the table. "Now that could be fun to watch. Come on Furball, get this party started by gracing us with a table dance."

[Casandra Lightheart]

She listened to Dre's speach and wiped a tear from her face and then had a second ale in her hand she had barely finished the first one, but this woulden't be a fitting memorial party if there wasen't drinking.

"HEAR HEAR!!!"

She hugged V and kept an arm around her for a moment. So many people here but she was only clse to a handfull of them.

Kjay saw Levi and began jumping around his tail wagging, he got low to the ground looking like he was going to pounce then he took off running knowing Levi wiuld chase him.

[Arcadia]

::Arcadia said hello to everyone that spoke to her and returned hugs accordingly whether she knew them or not or remembered them. She was truely happy that there was such a great turn out for Krow. He would have loved this party for sure but it is rather sad that the gathering in his honour only came after his death. She did not recall such a gathering before but that does not mean there was not one. After Dre's speech she went around and began to mingle with the other guests. Her first stop was Sheena she had something she had to tell her. She looked around and realized she was standing right next to her. Arcadia smiled and gave her a big hug and whispered to her.::

Thank you so much for finding her. I can't wait to meet her. Do you think she will be around after the memorial?

-After her son's speech she leaned over and gave him a hug and told him what a good job he had done and that his father is so very proud of him and that he would do him justice as the lord of the house. She was very proud to have him for a son whether she birthed him or not. She has always been told that it does not matter who birthed the child but it did matter who raised that child and she firmly believed that. She let him talk to the other guests as Arcadia turned to talk to her. Sheena returned the hug and moved off a little from the rest so that they could talk without much interruption.-

You are very welcome but I have to say that I did not find her exactly. It seems she found Dre before I arrived here. I am sure that he will know where to find her once we are done but Arcadia do not rush it. It may not be the welcome you expect. She is 17 after all.

-She smiled and hugged her again knowing Arcadia would know not to expect a warm and fuzzy welcome after all of these year. Sheena spoke again to her.-

If you wish Dre or I will be there when you do meet her though. But for now lets go mingle with our friends and family.

-She went off to mingle picking up her first mug of ale. She was not much of a drinker with ale but she would drink at least one or two in her husband's name. She took her mug and walked over to his picture to have a private conversation with him for a moment. She walked away laughing and shaking her head to most it would appear that she remembered something funny that he would have said to her but that was between them now. She walked back to the crowd and joined on the conversations.-

If I could have everyones' attention for a moment.

-Once she had everyones' attention she spoke to the masses-

I would like to thank everyone for coming and I know Krow would have loved to have been here for such a gathering and I know in my heart that he is here celebrating with us. For this is not a sad occassion but a celebration of his life and what he meant to us. I am truly blessed to know that so many people remembered and even cared enough to come celebrate with both me and our son.

-She turned to Dre and spoke.-

Son, you will do both your father and I very proudly as the new Lord of the House of Darkmane and I will do whatever I can to make sure you know that daily and help you learn your new role and responsibilities.

-She gave him a hug and then returned to speaking to the others.-

With that being said lets continue this celebration and get reaquainted with those we may have forgotten or never knew before today. Let's drink and be merry for Krow.

-She smiled and lifted her mug to the sky for him and then drank deeply.-

He saw things winding down. Maybe people were getting drunk already. Or maybe people were busy just catching up and such. He nodded his head as he realized, it was time. He raised his voice and spoke. "If I may folks. Folks? Hey you people."

He chuckled at that. He then spoke once more, "I know we are having fun, but I think it is time for a little more fun. So I submit for your approval," He reached into a hiding place he had found and pulled out two bottles with clear liquid. "Two bottles of Krownar's Special Brew." He had a wicked grin on his face. "So besides me, who is first?"

[Madeline Cauthon]

Madeline raised up her glass feeling a bit tipsy.

"I'am!!"

[Casandra Lightheart]

Cas held out her empty cup to Dre.

"Wouldn't be right to not drink his brew."

She waited till it was full and held it up.

"TO KROW"

She was going to pay for this later. She drained the cup in one huge gulp and held it back out.

[Gawain]

Gawain had smelled the brew, and was trying not to act like he had. Of course, he was failing in an epic fashion. See, Gawain's olfactory sense is as well-developed as your eyesight. If, we should say, you can see the entire spectrum of visible light across four football fields, and can toss a dagger into a flea's bum at twenty paces. So, not only can he smell out who's got the last slice of turkey, DRE, his eyes are almost watering because Krow's home-brew is just that dang strong.
Ahem.

Needless to say, when Dre made the offer, Gawain was there. An apologetic look to Airtia, of course, but the world needed things like Christmas, kittens, babies, and Krow's special stuff. It needed to be reset sometimes, as if the whole thing had turned into someone's old Atari, and you were the kid brother that was losing the game of Pong.

ANYway.

Gawain held out a stein, grinning madly. "If I had known you had this stuff, bro, I'm telling you, we would have been way too drunk to remember where we were, much less to tell anyone else.....good thing for us, eh? I like my skin where it is, and Airtia could make me look like a milksop of a farmer. Right before she removed my hide in strips, you know, to make drying it easier." A cautious glance to Air....she would know he was joking, their *connection* saw to that. He would just calmly idle here, waiting for his turn. Of course, he had a cup for Airtia. After all what'd you think he was? Human?

[Airtia S. Cauthon]

Krows special brew. She should have known that he would have a barrel - or two - laying around somewhere. Now that he was the Lord of the House the secret recipe had probably been passed down to him. She wasn't going to put it past him to have a supply of it at the ready.

Ah, having a drink with the old crew. Put her in mind of when she use to drink a person or two under the table. That was in times past but be sure that she could do it again.

She laughed at Gawain's comment and stepped up when he held a cup out for her to take. "Please darling, drink. 'Ave fun." He should take advantage of it while he's able too. Never know if she's going to change her mind or not. At least he knew that she wasn't lying. "What better way tae send off and ole friend than tae take part o' his favorite drink."

Just to show that she was being a good sport in all of it she brought the cup to her own mouth and started downing the drink.

[Arcadia]

::Arcadia couldn't help but laugh as Dre pulled out the special brew. She downed the mug of ale she was given and held out her mug for some of the special stuff. She never knew why but even if she didn't intend on drinking when she got around Dre and some of the others she just couldn't resist the urge to join in on the festivities that ensued with them. She moved off to the side to enjoy the drink and reflect on some happy times she had when Krow was alive. It was hard for her to imagine that he was truly gone. She stood in front of his picture and spoke softly.::

You will be missed.

-Sheena stood back and watched as the special brew was brought out and just shook her head. Dre would be the one to find the stash and bring it. She got herself a glass of it and began to drink some of it. Dre went off to a corner of the garden alone to do some reflecting and thinking and drinking the special brew. The party started to wind down or pick up depending on who was watching. She let everyone enjoy themselves as she began to pick up and do some thinking herself. She was mentally making preperations to head back to Castle Darkmane and was trying to figure out whether she was going to keep the room here and come back or if she was going to check out and stay at the Castle. She still had a bit of time to decide but it would need to be decided soon. The said one last thing to everyone before she went about to clean up the gardens.-

I want to thank everyone for coming and please feel free to finish off the food and the drinks and please enjoy yourselves.

Maddie saw her friend walk over to the corner and smiled. He had done an excellent job today. Madeline knew that Dre's father would be proud of him.

She chuckled and shook her head at Gawain this was going to be fun. She wanted to stay and watch, but she was feeling a bit tired. She made her way over to Sheena.

"Dre out did himself today Miss Sheena, thank you two so much for inviting me. I need to go and get a bit of rest before my shift at the bar begins. Will you tell Dre thank you for me?"

-Sheena smiled to Madeline and nodded to her.-

Yes he did out do himself today. I am very proud of the man he has become I know things were not always easy for him. I am glad you could make it and I will pass along his message. Have a good rest and I am sure we will see each other again before I leave.

-She let her go and went about what she was doing watching everyone enjoy themselves.-
