Today the problem with being here was that she wasn't really here. Right? That's what she always believed until now, her head hit the pillow and boom as soon as she was asleep here she was without fail walking through what she told her friends was obviously her Dreamatopia or something since she always dreamed about here when she was sleeping. But that was the thing. She called it Dreamatopia because it was just a dreamland. Her best friend always joked that she was obviously trying to hook up with the Sandman or something, but Moxie hadn't seen him yet. Not even this time while she was having her problem.

You see, there was no waking up happening for Moxie and what seemed like morning was now afternoon and the sun setting as she walked down the least sketchiest streets she could find was telling her that night was coming to Dreamatopia soon. So why wasn't she waking up? She always woke up…some days she didn't remember much about what she did in Dreamatopia, and other times she remembered it so well that she wished she could forget it. Because this place was seriously creepy sometimes. It was like that movie her little sister always watched, Halloweentown. This place was seriously Halloweentown to the max and some nights that was so not cool. This Halloweentown was no kid's movie.

But when she got hurt those dreamtimes she wished she could forget it was no big deal because she always woke up. This is why tonight was a serious problem. She wasn't waking up and if she wasn't waking up what if she got hurt and she still didn't wake up, what would that mean? She didn't want to bleed to death anywhere in the world, but the last place she'd choose if she HAD to choose somewhere to bleed to death was not Dreamatopia. No way. She didn't even have healthcare here. Obviously, because did they even have healthcare here? Or hospitals? Or anything besides creepers?

What really gave Moxie the wiggins tonight was that she was getting tired. Like all she was thinking about as she was walking around trying not to catch the attention of any creepers was a bed with some nice pillows, and that had never happened before. Because this was Dreamatopia, and she was already sleeping, and who needed to sleep when you're already sleeping? Right? She'd thought it was right, until now……..

She had to do something about it too, because god what if some creeper decided to make her it's hobby for the night and she was too tired to do anything about it? Moxie had never gone into anywhere when she was in Dreamatopia before, because if it was this creepy on the streets what was behind all those closed doors you know, but when she saw the sign for an inn what else was she supposed to do? It was that or sleep hidden in some trash can or something while she a) prayed no one opened the lid and b) prayed that she woke up, stat, before the trash can smell turned her stomach and made her vom.

She was really careful when she opened the front door. Like horror movie careful. Peeping inside with one eyeball to see if she could see any reason not to go in, but Moxie's big blue eye didn't see a creeper party or anything, so………she went inside. She couldn't believe it, but she went inside.

And, oh yeah. She was totally dressed like a Star Trek babe. Lt. Uhura style. She'd never watched an episode in her life but that was Dreamatopia for you.

Ya know, the thing about being careful is that you can never be careful enough. The woman may have been looking all careful like looking into the inn but had she ever considered what was lurking outside of it?

She was about to find out. Ready or Not; here he comes. . .

Thump!

What in the world was that?

Thump!

The sound was coming closer - heading up the front walk . . .

Thump!

. . . and across the porch . . .

BANG! The front door of the inn went flying open - hopefully the lady had gotten the hell outta the way in time - only to crack against the wall before doing a rebound before it was snatched in mid-flight by a pale hand. Lock up the dogs and toss out the cats because that pale hand was attached to none other than Aiden himself! Door in hand the half vampire was a-sliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiding inside the building but check it out, he wasn't alone this time! Tossed over a shoulder like a sack of potatoes was a familiar face that was currently covered by the fall of multi-colored pastel braids hanging down over it.

As for Aiden himself the guy was still dressed like a tropical island refugee and sticking out like a sore thumb with all that bright white going on but it wasn't stopping that mile wide smirk that was plastering to his face and showing off those lovely ivory and gold fangs of his. The same smirk was directed at the Star Trek babe even as he was pushing past her. "Sup?" Yeeeeeeh - had to love a girl in a uniform.

Looking and smirking was all she was getting from him however. The guy already had a play toy over his shoulder and at the moment he didn't relish sharing his attention. Maybe later. A little wave and the guy was strolling on off in the direction of the Lounge area with his prize.

Not long after the thumping arrival, the door would be opened again, this time it was held open, for he was not alone. The voices would carry, and they were making no effort to hide what was being said, as the two were rather comfortable with each other, even if one of the players in the game had been trying to change the rules. “You know we could still go catch dinner?” The male voice was heard first, before the soft tones of the female. “We could, but I have a date.” Which would bring another volley. “With me right, for dinner?” Persistent but now it was just a game for him, he was fine with their relationship not changing, it was as comfortable as an old shoe. Laughter would be accompanied by the door being closed between the duo. “Win, you need to find yourself a girlfriend.” A shake of her head, at that moment, she noticed the girl standing at the check in desk. Her elbow was jabbed into Winston’s side. “What was tha….” Because he had turned to look at Al when she elbowed him and she saw the look and the nod of her head.

She gave Winston a little push. “Go say hi….at least offer to keep her company until someone comes to check her in.” A small pause. “You know the wait sometimes feels like days.” A sunny smile shot up to him, and like that she was making her way to the stairs, she did have to get ready for her date, and hey maybe by the time she was ready, the girl at the desk would have been serviced, otherwise Al might have to stop by and chat on her way out.

Well he had his orders, didn’t he? Al was a great assistant and she was sometimes a bit on the bossy side, but she had a point. Here he was with nothing to do after work, and there was a chick whom looked cute from the back, he could only hope her front lived up to the rear, standing waiting to be checked in. Perhaps he could even get a new back washer out of the deal. After Vesta scared off Jade, and then slacked at her job hard core, he had that spot that just itched to have some help reached.

He walked over to the desk, to the side, to close to be in the girls personal bubble, yet close enough that she would not have to question if he was talking to her or not. “Hey… have you been waiting long?” He wasn’t sure how he wanted to start this conversation, and he seeing the side of her face had an idea that the front view was living up to the rear view. Then because of his words he did not wish the girl to think that he was her to check her in. “I’m sorry if your looking for a room, I don’t know the steps to check anyone in. But if you want company until someone shows up…..” He left the offer out there, but he was giving her one of those little boy grins.

Noticed that she was dressed in a outfit of sort, he had seen on tv a time or two. He was dressed in a dark gray suit, jacket matching the pants with a baby blue button down shirt underneath causing the his blue eyes to pop out, or so he had been told. His tie was loose around his neck, after a long day the tie usually ended up as it was now, much like a mischievous child look, or it was tossed all together.

What the freak??? Moxie must've gotten out of his way, somehow, maybe by clicking her heels or Dreamatopia magic or something, because the guy was already down the hall and that wouldn't've happened if there'd been some collision between them? Maybe she was all walk through her like, ghostly spirit style, because she wasn't actually here, kind of maybe, even though during other times to Dreamatopia she'd definitely been here, because she'd definitely been hurt, and definitely been a whole lot of other gruesome stuff that always disappeared when she woke up.

Point was maybe she came into the Halloweentown brothel, since the "Sup" creeper was carrying some raver girl over his shoulder like he'd gotten his money's worth and was about to go for seconds. The stuff Moxie had seen here during her trips to Dreamatopia she'd totally believe it because there wasn't much she'd tripped on that wasn't cracklin whacked here plus there was no one at the front desk either so there was no one to tell her otherwise and the Sup creeper was walking away. Moxie wasn't about to take notes on any smirks or anything else because the guy obviously wasn't sticking around and his mental maybe later didn't do her any good because she wasn't a psychic friend. Looking back towards the road through a window since she was just inside the place Moxie was wondering if she should reconsider the sleeping in a trash can option or try opening a door number two because this was looking like a mistake.

Sup guy being not a helper was nothing big because nothing that happened in Dreamatopia was ever a help to her so this was just one more of those times.

When the door opened again somehow it didn't hit her again. She was just weirdly out of its way no explanation which was better than a different reality.........like for example being a second sack of potatoes on the retreating Sup guy's other shoulder. She totally felt like she was ten again at the dinner table though surrounded by her too-big family talking about her like she wasn't there, since the girl and guy who came in where totally within earshot of her while they talked and looked at her.

But when the guy was face to face with her whoa that feeling disappeared for a totally different me-ow kind of feeling. This guy was the first nice thing she'd ever seen in Dreamatopia. Reeeeeeally nice you know, a dream instead of a nightmare kind of dealio. That's why "Uhhhhhhh…." was all she could say and uh was better than I'd like to pin you up on my wall to make my cold nights a little less cold kind of stuff she was thinking as she gave him a wide-eyed stare.

"But do you have a bed?" Her eyes popped wider. "To crash in. Sleep with - IN," she corrected totally losing track of her lips, "Until I wake up home." Headshake, he was just a Dreamatopia person maybe but she didn't want him to think she was crazy because he probably didn't know he was just a dream right? She corrected it. "To go home, I mean. After I wake up."

The foyer was a good size, lots of room for a handful of people to stand around loitering and acting like they were important people or stacking piles of luggage so, as long as she stepped in, there was room for others!

Quickly making her way down the hall in padded feet, the drapes from her ivory robe and the hanging strips of her long blue hair wisped out behind her as the young elf girl nearly ran from somewhere in the back of the Inn and towards the Front Desk. Helping out in the kitchen and doing De'Ryanna's job of managing the desk and other small task was harder than she thought when volunteering! Hopefully she wasn't too late in leaving the person at the front . . . desk.

The near running slowed down considerably and her almond shaped eyes grew wider when the guy carrying the girl passed her by in the hall. The elf girl moved against the wall and held one of her hands to her chest. Was the other woman dead? Was she suppose to stop him and ask if he needed help and if things were okay? Just let him go about his way? Oh she was so confused! Cooking was a lot simpler and it didn't require dealing with the public in the same way. Get an order and make it. How hard was that?

The ones at the front desk would surely be able to see her as she was in the same hall as they were, and looking at them now she decided to let that man go and do the job she had been tasked. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry. Hello!" Soft spoken voice sounding rushed and flushed at the same time as she came upon the desk. "Welcome to Tel'Ranaemyn."

She didn't know if they were here together, singularly, or if they only had a question about their rooms as her job was a localized one and she didn't often traps about the Inn being social. "Can I help you?"

If the door had hit the female when Winston and Al walked in, he would of pointed the finger and blamed Al, not taking the gentlemanly role in that instance. How good would that of looked? Oh, we hit you with the door, after you just got hit. It was her! Point. But he did not have to deal with that bit, so there was no pointing of fingers, besides he was looking for company for dinner still, Al already had her company, so why not?

If the place was a brothel, he would not of been pestering Al, even though now it was all done in good fun. There was no real intent behind his words, even when he came up with the cockamamie idea, it was just a thought, nothing that he had vested anything in. If he had noticed the other man that had come in before him, or the female over his shoulder, not even the slightest twinge of reorganization would be seen.

But now that he had found this female standing here all alone, with no one to talk to someone was coming out to offer to help the girl. Just his luck, he heard the bustling movements of the other lady that was arriving on the scene. He almost looked a bit annoyed but his features were carefully schooled so that it did not show.

Because for the moment, the other woman had not spoke to them, and his attention moved to fix solely on the female. That was a good of response as any, and he figured that he had taken her off guard, not because of him his ego was that big but for the moment, because he was actually pausing to talk to her. Don’t get the man’s mind wrong he had an ego as big as the state of Texas and then some. She so could of said what was on her mind, but she would have had to be prepared for a reply, so maybe it was better that she had not.

‘But do you have a bed.’ Well, that right there got a boyish grin even as his head gave a nod in the positive, before she could get the other words out. “I do have a bed, I would even be willing to share it, if…” There was always a if wasn’t there, “If you would agree to have dinner with me, I will share my bed with you.” Oh the implications that could have been put into those words. But he could tell the girl was tired, so for one night only, he would offer her his bed without any price but her being his dinner date. His eyes shot between the female he paused to speak to, and then to the lady that was moving behind the counter.

Seeing he just offered to share his bed he thought it was only right to give the female his name. “I’m Winston, by the way, figured you might want to know for later.” That boyish grin was there, it did not falter from his lips, as he awaited her decision. The way he saw it, the female had two choices if she stayed, she could a. rent her own room. B. she could take him up on his offer, get a nice meal and a warm bed with him.

There were two people here to help her and Moxie looked back and forth between them. Two minutes ago she was looking out the window thinking about a nevermind this retreat and now the situation had totally changed and she had helpful people and options to getting a place to sleep besides a trash can. It was almost as good as waking up but even though this Winston guy was really hot and he had a look at me smile and smelled to her like he'd just walked out of a how to look smell and be the perfect man seminar Moxie still kind of wished for waking up. Just because there were good people here to help her now didn't mean Dreamatopia would keep being good to her and not shoot some of its horrors at her soon like it usually did.

Yeah this Winston guy what was up with him? Was he a total dream savior sent to save her or what for all she knew maybe she was finally meeting the Sandman which if he was the Sandman, she'd totally take it. It was better to have a hot helpful sandman than some crinkly old dude that was just another Dreamatopia creeper looking to bark up a wrong tree with her somehow.

She liked Winston's offer she liked it a lot especially since Moxie realized that she came into an inn and motels hotels and inns all wanted money to use their beds and that was something she didn't have any of. All she had was herself and the weird uniform she was wearing that she didn't choose to wear it just happened just like her not getting hit by the doors had just happened. Whatever was weird Moxie just chalked it up to this being all one big dream and that none of this was real because she'd always woken up before. So a free dinner and a free bed yeah she'd take it, why wouldn't she take it was like an offer she couldn't refuse though the small warning voice in her head went off because why would this guy who didn't know her at all be offering all those things to her out of nowhere and it reminded her of a thought she'd had earlier.

"Is this place a brothel?" She blurted it out. "I mean I'm just checking first because that guy………" Moxie kind of waved over her shoulder in the direction Sup creeper went off in but she didn't say anything else about it like the wave she did was supposed to fill in the blanks about what she'd been thinking about that whole caveman with chick over his shoulder thing. "Like don't get mad or anything I'm just asking first you know because if it's not then yeah." It was the first time she smiled ever in Dreamatopia and that smile was for Winston this kooky-like smile Moxie was kind of different if they hadn't noticed, but maybe they hadn't. "Yeah I totally want to agree to dinner so I can share your bed, I'm Moxie."

Course thinking of having dinner with a guy made her self-conscious about what she looked like and she looked down at herself, "But I don't have anything else to wear or even money." That last part was said for the benefit of the check-in girl and maybe for Winston to so he'd know in case he was thinking dutch or something that she couldn't be dutch because what she was was broke at least here in Dreamatopia. "So his help is better for me because it's free sorry for making you come here for nothing." That was to the check-in girl too.

If this really was her Dreamatopia it very well could start shooting horrors at her. But if she was going to have horrors shot at her, wouldn’t she want good ole Winston here with her? Because he had been out on an adventure or two, and he wasn’t above entering another one, especially with the cute pixie looking girl.

If everyone joked that she had a crush on the sandman a man could wish he was him, even when he wasn’t. Though if that’s what she wanted to call him, he would be most agreeable.

A chuckle slipped out of his mouth at the question. He wasn’t sure how the other woman was thinking about being asked if the Inn was a brothel. But he would answer that at least a partial answer. “This is a Inn, not a brothel.” He might of went on but the girl was smiling. Then she was talking again and the fact being if he was going to joke about the place being a brothel it had died. He did not want her to say no. Eating along sucked, sleeping along sucked even more, and here was a chance to take care of both problems at least for the night. “Nice to meet you Moxie. My bed is your bed.” Not the normal hellos but those were boring right.

Winston turned a smile to the check in girl, he had not yet met this one, and part of him had hoped that Dirty Girl would of came down to check in the new girl. He had not seen her since he had gotten the items she needed delivered. He was glad that adventure he came back in one piece.

“You’ll be my guest.” That was said in such a way that she would know that he wasn’t planning on her using any money. He did not take offense at the thought, because she was new to him, and did not know whom he was. He looked thoughtful. “Shaine left some clothes behind we can see if any of them fit you? If you end up staying longer we will have to figure out a way to get you some of your own.” Like she could do things to earn them, you know, like…..house cleaning. Or being his dinner/bed partner. And if she didn't like that idea, maybe Al had something she could wear, seeing Al pushed him towards the girl?

He turned to the woman behind the counter. “Thanks for showing up, but the lady doesn’t need to be checked in.” He grinned at the blueberry one before turning his attention to Moxie. “Not afraid of stairs are you?”

Oh my. Oh my. Oh my. This certainly wasn't how things were suppose to go at all! Or maybe they were and she didn't know because she wasn't often at the desk - or at all aside from that one other time but things then had been different. She could just let them go? Like that? Without taking in anything?

Her eyes looking between the guy to the girl, to the girl and then to the guy, and then when they said that they leaving - or it rather did seem like they were about to leave - she held up a hand and nervously said: "W-wa-wait a minute, please. Um."

Hand came back down and she went through the pages until she found Winston's name - that's what he said his name was and that was the name that she found in the book! She turned the book around to face them and offered out a pen. "She should put her name down, if she's going to stay here. There needs to be record of the people who are here so in case anything happens we know who to bill." Would be billed to Winston, of course, anything she incurred.

Not normal ha whenever Moxie ended up here which was every time she feel asleep for the past year or it was even longer than that now what happened to her was never normal so not normal was normal if you think about it. She'd take this not normal over most of the things that happened to her in Dreamatopia because compared to them this was one of the best he didn't have a lot of competition for that and everything he said to her was music to her ears, bed guest different clothes he didn't even mind her staying longer which was good because she was having trouble waking up or else she still wouldn't be here in Dreamatopia right now.

"Stairs?" She kind of laughed almost because who was afraid of stairs but she knew that she probably looked really nervous about being here especially when he first saw her so she understood. "No stairs are good especially ones that lead to your bed." That sounded so bad she had to fix it "I mean because you're sharing it you know loaning it to me and stuff." It wasn't sharing possibly if he wasn't going to sleeping in it too while she was there so she changed it to loaned because she didn't want to assume and she changed the subject too before she dug herself deeper. "Which thanks really thanks I really needed help this place………." but she decided not to finish what she was about to say because how could she say it without mentioning the fact that he wasn't real and the girl wasn't real and the inn wasn't real? So she didn't and she just smiled because she was so relieved that at least for tonight maybe she would be taken care of and not have to worry anymore or be freaked that she wasn't waking up or at least not as freaked as she was. Instead she could think about what clothes she might be wearing soon and she was about to ask what kind of place they would go for dinner but then the girl wanted information from her.

"M-o-x-i-e. Reinhardt R-e-i-n-h-a-r-d-t." She just spelled her first name because she already said it after Winston and she spelled the whole thing slowly so the girl could write it for the record but she didn't look totally comfortable about it because the girl said bill. "But I'm not going to get billed or anything am I because I don't even have a credit card or something I don't have anything which is weird but………….I don't." What else could she say she didn't know why she didn't have anything on her, maybe because she never needed to pay for anything in Dreamatopia before so her dream mind didn't give her anything? She glanced at Winston maybe a little nervously to see what he had to say about the billing thing, even though he said he'd pay for everything she didn't want to repeat that it wasn't her place to and she could have heard him wrong right?

Winston would not know normal for this place if it hit him square in the face. Nothing that had happened since he got to this place nothing seemed normal. But what is normal at home would not be considered such here. As for a record for whom to bill, wasn’t that already stated that he was footing the bill, therefore they wouldn’t need that. Logical business sense there.

The way that the girl spoke and acted he had a feeling that she thought she wasn’t going to be here that long. He knew to take advantage of what time they did have, and he had to do it a certain way, she was a bit timid so he had to handle her with care.

Stairs are good especially ones that lead to your bed. Had a guy ever heard sweeter words? His lips were quirking into that well worn boyish grin, even as she went forth to try to fix her wording. But he was not going to have her think him confusing with his words, so when she started to say different things he inputted. “Share. I am going to share my bed with you.” Two bodies one bed. You get the point. It was most def sharing the bed. When she started to talk again he just grinned.

He heard the woman behind the counter, and he paused in thought, for he was about to ask Moxie what food she preferred. The good thing about the Inn it wasn’t to far to a few different places. Then Moxie was talking about getting billed and he looked between the two women, and he felt he needed to put his voice into the hat. “As I said before, any charges that she incurs I will take care of. You can either bill my room or send me a bill for each occurrence.” He had given the girl his word and he meant to live up to it. And he would for the price of her company for dinner. She had heard him correctly.

Dinner and Al had been what had gotten the man in this situation in the first place. And he was thinking he was going to like being in said situation. He moved to stand up straight, thinking that the business part was a done deal, the woman wanted Moxie’s name, she got it. She also got that Winston was going to be paying for everything. So really what was left?

Dinner! Dinner and clothing. “Are you a picky eater?” He needed to know this. He had a standing reservation at Agea, but if she wished something more basic there was the mom and pop place as well. It would all depend on what items she wished to wear of Shaines. To go to the first she would need to dress up the second not so much.

"Yes. Yes Sir, I know that she is staying with you."

Cocina was a tad confused at this point because she wasn't understanding if they were understanding her or not. Perhaps not? But she was speaking clearly, right? Maybe she had missed something or because she had been thrown off by being late and the guy she saw had jumbled up her words. She thought that when someone offered a pen - as she had - it meant that the other was suppose to take it?

Maybe Moxie knew how to spell her name but not write? That thought came to the young blue-haired elven girl and she gasped softly, fingertips of one hand coming to her lips. She would keep the secret and be discrete.

Cocina lifted the pen up higher and presented it to Moxie again. "If you would Moxie, please, I need for you to at least make a mark next to Winston's name if you are not able or want to leave your own." With her other hand she tapped the line where Moxie was to put it. "Right here and you will not have to worry of your stay."

No worry as it would be taken care of by Winston. Cocina only needed Moxie to mark in the ledger.

The girl was a tad confused? Too bad she needed to take a number because Moxie was first in line totally lost in space. Blink ka-blink. "I don't have money I'm not paying the bills I'm not getting a room but I still gave you my name because you said it would have to be put down for the record and now I have to do it?" She wondered what happened to being allowed to be a guest and using room numbers to charge things at hotels but she didn't say anything about it because this kind of thing was always what Dreamatopia did to her she didn't get anywhere without weird roadblocks and stuff never made sense.

Telling her she didn't have to worry was like putting up this big billboard saying NO REALLY WORRY especially in this place when every time she was here things went bad and they went bad fast without any warning and now the girl's words those felt like a neon sign warning to her. "I mean what is this the Hotel California or something am I signing up for checking out whenever I want but I can't leave?" She didn't know why she bothered asking because it if was like that why would the girl tell her, telling someone you want to trap them doesn't make sense but signing things could be like that.

Moxie sighed and shook her head and she wouldn't look at Winston because she'd looked at him so much already she didn't want the guy to think he was her personal problem solver. Maybe she was afraid too that if she turned around he'd be vanished like he was never here and if that happened she didn't know what she'd do especially because ever since he offered dinner she was hungry and on top of it she came in here wanting a bed not to stand around talking about where her name was supposed to go and who was supposed to put it there. She grabbed the pen from the girl and looked down at the book and none of the words made sense to her……….you know like a dream how a lot of times a dreamer looks at signs books and things and the words are a scramble that's what it was like for Moxie here because for her this was where she went when she was dreaming which is why nothing that happened to her here stayed that way when she woke up. What she wrote in the book she understood since she was the one making the letters, together they spelled w-h-a-t-e-v-e-r because the girl said she didn't have to sign her own name and she didn't want to not in some weird Dreamatopia book. If the girl wanted to write what her name was next to what she wrote that was up to her Moxie already spelled it and she just wanted to go eat and she said that too to Winston "Whatever let's go eat the sharing the bed part isn't even going to happen unless we eat soon, I'll even wear these clothes if I have to whatever's okay I'll be whatever for a day."

This must be the night for confusion on the desk forefront. The woman behind the desk said that Moxie needed to sign, but signing was about whom was getting billed, and Moxie was not getting billed. Sounded a little contradicting to him. On top of that, now Moxie was now his guest, and he was taking responsibility for her, so anyone that he had as a guest was going to have to go through this bull? The way things were sounding, if he ran his business even half the way that the Inn was ran, he would not have a business.

Sometimes a man liked to feel needed. Moxie was sure doing a good job of stroking him without ever touching him. It was Moxie’s call about the signing of the ledger, and the fact that she did at all, even if she just wrote something simple and not her name, almost had him laughing. Because he had been getting ready to reach out and take the pen and sign his own name again. Moxie would not have to worry about the bill not being paid because it would. Perhaps sooner then later.

Now that Moxie had signed, even though she being a guest shouldn’t of had to, it also implanted a thought into his head. He spoke to Moxie but made sure the lady behind the desk could hear him. “If you are still here tomorrow and so choose it, I will get my bill and find us another establishment, to stay at for the duration.” Winston was not a man that was used to people acting how the lady behind the desk was. He was used to getting what he wanted when he wanted it, and people appeasing him. He did not like the way his guest was being treated, almost as if the girl was jealous of Moxie, yet that was ridiculous because he knew not the woman.

Moxie’s words got the grin to form, as he gave a nod of his head. “Let’s run up to the room, get you a change of clothes, and I need to grab something and then we can go. Are you more of a expensive tastes or do you like mom and pop places?” Winston was good at taking care of his guests. He paused only a moment. “There is a mom and pop place around the corner. Agea is a bit further, but I have a standing reservation.” That was so she knew that she really did have a choice…but she could throw something else out there too. Like, to bad this place didn’t have room service so they could get to the sharing the bed part even quicker.

She only had to sign the book, what was wrong with signing the book? It was a simple thing that could take a second to do. It wasn't only so they'd know who to bill - don't know who told him that - but as Cocina was told it was so they knew who was staying in the Inn. If you're staying at the Inn it needed to be recorded, can't have a bunch of people staying in rooms undocumented now can they? That would be bad business. Keeping a record was good business. She wasn't the main sign-nee so the elf was failing to see why they were making a deal over Moxie leaving her mark.

The ledger was also one of the ways that the people in the Kitchen knew how much food to get and keep in stock as well as all the other amenities around the Inn. They did have room service, it wasn't boldly advertised but there was nothing keeping people from asking about it now was there?

"I..I don't know who told you that you can't leave Miss Reinhardt," Cocina pulled the book back to her and closed it. "You can leave whenever you want." The Inn was most certainly not a prison. She saw people come and go all the time? Maybe this young elf was taking a saying out of context.

"Everything is taken care of now, thank you." Being just as polite - if not a bit nervous - as she gave a small courtesy and started to back away. The ledger was "Thank you very much and enjoy your stay."

Out the girl went! She was headed to the kitchen to tell the chef that they had another person staying in the Inn so he could compensate. Although, if they needed her for anything yet she wasn't that far gone that she couldn't hear them. Wasn't dashing off like lightening or anything like that.

Ugggggggh that's what spelling her name had been for so the girl could write it down for the record to document that she existed as Winston's guest why couldn't the girl just write her name down when that took a second to do too? Back where Moxie was from signatures meant things like contracts and there were plenty of lists of names like time sheets or whatever to keep records which is what this girl said she wanted only for records and a list would work for counting people to feed too. It's why Moxie had written whatever instead of her signature because she wasn't cool with that and Dreamatopia had given her the option so she jumped on it so Whatever is who she was about this and she was glad it was done and over with it took too long.

"Yeah okay thanks for that." She didn't say anything else about leaving or her stay because she didn't want more talking to happen about it she just wanted to eat. She turned to Winston so the girl knew she didn't need anything else.

Moxie didn't want room service she wanted to have dinner somewhere else she picked this door the first one she'd ever gone through in Dreamatopia and it was like this huge deal erupted out of nowhere and she didn't want a huge deal over anything else. "Okay but let's run really fast because I'm hungry and……......um, hungry." She tripped up and had to stop herself from saying that she was afraid she'd wake up soon it was the first time that she almost didn't want to wake up and get out of Dreamatopia because what if that happened and she never saw him again? When she went to sleep she never knew where she'd be in Dreamatopia she didn't know how that worked she didn't know how she was even dreaming about the same Dreamatopia every night. He mentioned if she was here tomorrow did that mean he wanted her to be here tomorrow because if it did she felt guilty and wondered if she should say something to him over dinner about what was going on with her.

"I've never eaten dinner here before so I don't know maybe we should eat at the place that matches the clothes that will fit me?" Like if it was a fancy dress she didn't want to wear that to a mom and pop place so the clothes could decide which was okay with her so long as food was in the picture.

If such a thing as room service was something that the inn did offer even though it wasn’t advertised or spoken about, would it not make sense that the kitchen elf whom was standing there when they spoke of food, would of piped up about it. Though at the moment, he wasn’t sure he was going to eat anything from that kitchen.

He would notice that the woman behind the counter, whom had spoken to them both had directed everything to the non paying guest of a guest. Interesting. Part of him wished to get a hold of that book and see whom had and had not actually signed the book. But he wouldn’t….he did not want people to think he belonged behind the desk or something…

He grinned to Moxie, it was a whole difference in his stance, not just his face, now that they were going to get to get food. He saw the way she hesitated, and he could understand, people when they were new were a bit, jumpy. Sure she could have other reasons, he heard from some people that they fell asleep and woke up here, others got into a tax or bus and when they got off they were here, he followed Shane because she had a dream about the place. Strange how it worked.

Steps were taken, he had not reached to grab her hand up the steps, unless she looked like she was about to stumble, then he would snatch her arm to assist her.

Once they had reached his current room, he paused at the door, giving her a grin. Then the door was unlocked and he pushed the door open, and motioned for Moxie to step over the threshold. Once she entered, if she did, “Ladies first.” After she entered because we are going to assume she did, the room would not eat her, that he knew of. He walked in and closed the door, before moving around her, and walking to the bedroom, and to the closet he pulled out a brown box. Opening the box, he would begin to unpack clothing, shaking it out. It had been in there for a while, but the woman would have a few outfits to choose from.

“Whichever items you wish to try you can take in to the bathroom.” See he was even offering her a bit of a modest way to try the clothing on. On the bed was a pair of jeans, with white socks and a soft cashmere sweater a bright pink in color with a wide neck, short sleeved. Another bright orange shirt with some words that had long ago been worn off but the scraggly remarks remained. A small black dress, the every female staple was also pulled out. Most of the clothing from a look liked it might fit her, but he wasn’t always the best judge. He had yet to hold Moxie, it was how he picked out clothing for women. Okay truthfully he went to Al and said..shes like this…and Al was able to decipher Winstonese and get what needed to be gotten.

He went to his room and she followed and didn't look back she was keeping close to him and trying not to look around too much she didn't want to see that Sup guy again or what he was doing with that girl in case he was doing it not behind a closed door. She kept her eyes on Winston's back in front of her and walked really close so close that if he stopped she would've bumped into him so it was a good thing he didn't stop until they were at his door, she knew to stop then and she looked at what number room it was if it had a number on it so she could remember.

"It's really quiet" and she was relieved about that she didn't know what she expected to see or hear upstairs but she was just glad that whatever it was it wasn't happening and when he opened the door she went through that was okay to assume because it's what she did. "And……..normal looking." It was normal looking inside his room right just like any other hotel room or was there a moat and little shadow people running around it or some other kind of dreamer creepy thing?

Moxie picked up the jeans and the cashmere sweater and the black dress just in case those things didn't fit her but she didn't take the socks or the orange shirt because she had a thing about wearing other people's socks and orange wasn't her color it made her look all yellowed out which she didn't like and she didn't have any make-up here with her to fix that so it would have to be pink. Her classic Lt. Uhura uniform came with black boots and she could wear those under the jeans or with the dress it would work okay. "I don't see any pajamas or anything what am I going to do when we have to share a bed?" She grinned at him walking to the bathroom yeah it was flirting but you know she was feeling better now that she was actually in his room and they were almost at dinner and the weird complicated Dreamatopia stuff was over.

She shut the door behind her to try the clothes on and if there was a mirror in the bathroom she looked in that too and used the sink to wash her face and fix her hair some letting it down from how it was pinned up. Her hair was long more than halfway down her back with gentle waves and it looked okay even though she didn't have a brush to run through it. She shook her head at the weird outfit she was wearing mumbling "what is this outfit supposed to mean" as she pulled it off and folded it and put it on a ledge or a shelf whatever there was to put it on in his bathroom.

When she came out she was wearing the jeans and the sweater which made her happy because nothing was more comfortable than a good pair of jeans and it was much more comfortable than that bizarre uniform. "Ready." Was he ready to were they really going to get to have dinner now?

Glad. That was what he was about her following along. If she had just changed her mind after the whole thing at the front desk, he would of probably thrown up his hands, and went on with his merry way. Surely if he went to Agea he could snatch a person out of the long waiting line to dine with him. We will not go further into his thought process for the safety of all. Women liked to change their mind, it was something he was painfully aware of, in more then one way. Smart girl getting the room number.

He let out a laugh. “It is rather quiet. And quite normal looking. At least it looks like the places back home to me.” That was a way of letting her know that he was not a normal resident of this place, as in he did not grow up here, just sort of transplanted himself. He did do the traveling back and forth occasionally between here and his other home. The room itself when she entered was rather sparsely furnished, it had a couch, two chairs and a coffee table set up in a nice chat friendly setting. Behind that were the doors to the rooms. Bathroom, bedroom, closet. The carpet was a soft plush gray, the furniture was a maroon in color, the coffee table was cherry wood.

The bedroom, that room was a bit different, yet not. The carpet was the same, the wood in the room was the same cherry finish, and the coverings were black or maroon. If the maroon comforter that covered the bed was pulled back black silk sheets would have been visible. Perhaps he would have to change to a more basic cotton sheet seeing he was going to be a gentleman and share his bed. Perhaps not. His room had been in need of a change after things had fizzled with a certain someone, so he set about setting Al to the task, she knew his tastes and he was rather happy with the outcome.

He had moved to pick up the clothing she was not going to need, the stuff left on the bed, when she started to talk again. Oh the girl was a little flirt, and it did his ego good, who wouldn’t want a chick flirting with him, really? Ego’s always could use extra stroking. “I guess you will have to sleep naked.” The words came out deadpan, not even a hint of a grin, before his lips tweaked just a bit. “Or you can sleep in one of my old t-shirts.” He had given his word, one night only was the deal, that he would behave. Now if she didn’t behave that was something different. All bets would be off, only fair.

The bathroom, had a rather large tub, just saying. But yes there was a small shelving unit that had a empty shelf she could use to put her clothing on. The shelf above the empty one had a vast array of combs, brushes, and other hygienic things, the shelf under was stuffed full of towels. He had more towels but they were not kept in the bathroom for the lack of room, he had converted one of the closets in the room to handle the overflow.

When she came out he grinned. He had grabbed his wallet, and while she was in the bathroom, he had changed into his jeans. He had a feeling that the jeans were going to fit, and after wearing a outfit all day, who wouldn’t want to wear jeans. He had just slipped out of his button down shirt, and had his hands in his t-shirt that he was pulling down, paused as his head had just popped out of the top, to cast a glance to see if he had planned correctly. A slow smile tugging up his lips. “You look cute and comfortable now.” Simply stated as he finished tugging the shirt down his torso. Winston was a man that liked to work out and it showed, yet not to the point that the veins popped out. Ew.

He moved to open the door, holding it for her. “After you.” Once she stepped over the threshold he would follow her out, before closing the door. Click went the lock. And to the steps again, making sure she was moving with him, before he went down the steps. He thought about still going to Agea, but they sometimes got backed up and he wanted to get the food quick, so they could enjoy the dinner, before coming back. “Do you mind walking? It’s not to far…or would you rather we drive?” Oh here came the part that he was unsure of, if the girl knew what a car was or not.

Back home what was back home that was the first she'd ever heard someone in Dreamatopia say back home but then again she never had really talked to anyone here before up until today it was all about avoiding and trying not to be seen. She asked about it when she came from the bathroom before any kind of flirting happened about sleeping naked. "You have a back home or a home….home?" She never thought about Dreamatopia people having homes or thinking that they had homes but it made sense to her she guessed because dreams didn't know they were dreams or at least none of the people or things she saw looked like they knew that about themselves.

She looked around his room to see if it was anything like her own back home and she shrugged her shoulders a little "I guess it kind of looks like my back home too not exactly but similar not the bed though." She looked through the door to the bedroom that's why she could say that and she moved a couple steps closer to get a better view. "I've never seen a bedroom like that I think I picked a really good bed to share." She giggled at him grinning definitely flirting about it. "Oh you're not that lucky to have me sleeping naked because I'll only sleep naked if there's something that feels goooood to sleep on like silk sheets." She didn't know about the sheets on his bed since the comforter covered them uh oh for her right?

Moxie hadn't thought about what was behaving or not behaving because this wasn't anything like her visits to Dreamatopia at all this was more like her normal dreams before her Dreamatopia visits started happening once they took over she didn't have normal dreams anymore ever. She was glad this was like a normal dream with a date or at least if it wasn't date dinner with a hot guy instead of running away from something with scales or screaming as some weird guy put a collar around her neck or some of the other bad stuff that had happened to her here she would take this with Winston over that any day of the week.

"If you think I'm comfortable now there are lots more comfortable things I could slip into to be even more" that was flirting too with a big smile coming over to the front door since they were leaving for dinner. "I bet there are more comfortable things you could slip into too." It was just a dream right so it wasn't bad to be saying things like that it wasn't like she wasn't going to wake up if she got rejected. She smiled at him when he said after you and followed him down the steps. "If it's not that far I don't mind walking but what kind of car do you have?" Okay so he was a good looking guy and a good looking guy in a good looking car was really hot you know talk about a good dream.

Sometimes it was probably safer to not draw attention to one self, Winston had talked to people that he might not have if conditions had been different. But everything he had done, had helped craft out his time here in New Haven, so that was something. Besides he could offer her assistance this way right? His head was giving the girl a nod. “I travel between here, which is called New Haven, and my home. I come from a planet called Earth. I had a team of scientists create a phone that could dial me home.” That might sound way out there, but he said it as if it was just a simple matter-of-fact fact.

She was lucky that they were already going on their way out the door or he might have had to have her toss back the comforter. If she was still there after dinner when they made it up to the room again, he would be sure to make sure she noticed the sheets. Instead for right now she was greeted to a knowing grin. “Hmm…we shall have to see what we can do about that.”

When one was in a dream, what fun is it to behave, one should be more outgoing then they were in their every day life, right? If he thought this was just a dream for him, it would have been a bit more interesting, but as it was his real life, he couldn’t just be the way that he would in a dream land. Not that much would change. Usually one knew exactly where they stood with him. And how he felt about things.

He laughed, he could not help it at the words, but it wasn’t a laughing at her sort of laugh, it was a my kind of girl laugh. “Indeed like my sheets.” That was alone what he had said on the slipped into something more comfortable. Now she wanted to know what sort of car he drove, that was simple enough, he had to get a new one when he got here, for he didn’t know how to bring the car across the realms. “Right now I have a Chrysler 300C.” yes that was the one that had the sweet doors that opened like the car in back to the future, because those doors had sold him on the car. Of course the car had all the option packages as well, he wanted to be comfortable in whatever he was driving.

As she said she did not mind walking, he would take off in the direction of the small mom and pops place. If she kept up with him it would take about five minutes to get there. It really was not that far away, and when they arrived there, he paused to hold the door open for her, with a after you sort of gesture. Once they were both inside, however that worked, he would take the lead to walk them over to a booth off to the side, with a window that was covered by curtains.

The atmosphere inside the place was homey, yet clean. A chubby lady in a waitress outfit made her way over, she looked very grandmotherly, with her hair pulled back and up in such a fashion that one would think her straight out of a fifties diner back on earth. Her brown locks were streaked with gray, a twinkle in her eyes. “Hello hello! What can I get you guys to start with?” Even as she spoke she was tugging menus to hand them both one, the place was a bit busy and she was it.

Winston deferred to Moxie, before he would give his drink order, and if Moxie ordered food he would follow suit.

Moxie did a total double take when Winston said he was from Earth how could he be from earth when she was from Earth but then he said scientists made him a space traveling phone and that made sense. You know, dream sense to her because that wasn't something she thought could happen besides in a dream so she thought that Winston was just a dream guy who thought he was from Earth or something like that. "So you…..choose to come here to um, New Haven?" Thinking about this place as another name than Dreamatopia after so long was weird but that's not why she looked really confused she was confused because she didn't get why someone would want to come here. "That's kind of weird why would you want to be here?"

She laughed when he said he'd slip into his sheets to be more comfortable. "You're just saying that to try to convince me you're going to have to do better than that" she told him that coyly giving him a smug look too to let him know that she wasn't as dippy as she looked though she probably looked less dippy now that she was out of that weird uniform. Thinking about that made her think about the clothes she was wearing now and she looked down at them brushing her palm down the sweater asking "So whose clothes were these anyway because I don't think they'd fit you." Ha ha ha.

She was relieved that it didn't take long at all when she thought walk even short walks were longer most of the time and today the shorter the better because she didn't know when she was going to wake up and this trip to Dreamatopia would be done. It still bothered her that she hadn't woken up already and that she was here long enough to be things like hungry and tired when that usually didn't happen she just faded away whenever she woke up in the real world. She was surprised at how it looked inside just like the inn it was pretty normal looking in there kind of like places back home maybe this Winston guy was the Sandman because since she'd been with him most of the creepy stuff had stopped the last thing had been that weird Sup guy carrying that raver girl and that's when Winston had shown up.

"This is a good place" she sounded as relieved as she looked as she sat down at the booth he picked and looked around at whoever else was there eating just to be sure there wasn't a monster licking their lips at them or something. She took the menu and opened it right away making her drink order "Coffee." Hey Winston was good looking and he had a hot car and took her to normal places and he was flirting with her she thought so maybe Moxie didn't want a bed so much for sleeping anymore and was hoping for some sharing instead you know so she had to try and stay awake. "Cream and sugar and….." She forgot that she couldn't read here in Dreamatopia the menu all looked like a jumble besides a few words so Moxie tried not to look like something was wrong and guessed something that she knew most places had. "Cheeseburger, cheese fries and a pop" that should be enough to start.

Post by Winston Charles Bakersfie Thu Mar 24, 2011 12:02 am

Strange how things worked out wasn’t it? Both from the same home planet, yet both had different ways of traveling to where they were, and both had different experiences, completely different. Where she still seemed a bit out of it, and unsure he was more at ease. He had made the place a home away from home. He let out a chuckle. “I am sure it would sound weird if you haven’t had good experiences here. But there is a lot of money to be made here. I have people back on Earth that run my companies just fine, and I can go back when I am needed.” Companies yes he had more then one because he was like a corporate raider, he went in bought companies and took them over, sometimes he used them sometimes he cleaned them out, depending on lots of different factors. If he knew her situation he could of told her he could always google him, he knew quite a bit would pop up about him, and if she looked at images she would know it was he.

Grin, she caught him, but yet. “You will see, when we get done here.” Not that he was going to take her and toss her onto his bed, but wasn’t that the plan, eat and then share a bed? If the plan was something else she would have to speak up. He laughed. “No, I do not wear women’s clothing. They are my ex-girlfriends she went back to Earth for a modeling career, she never was good at packing.” He had no weird attachment he just hung onto them incase something happened and he had a need for them, and look at how well that turned out. There was no inflection in his voice that said he still had lingering feelings, even if she was the reason he came here in the first place.

After Moxie gave her order, the lady looked over to Winston. Her would give her a flirtatious grin, because he knew the woman was harmless, the jury was still out about Moxie. “Coke, bacon cheeseburger, and a order of fries.” He had thoughts about other food but that’s what he went with, simply yet filling. The waitress bustled off only to return with the two pops, then she set the mug of coffee down in front of Moxie, along with a small creamer and a sugar bowl, so she could fix it to her liking. Then she was off again.

Winston being Winston couldn’t help it as he looked over to the girl. “A little thirsty?” Not that he would say anything about it, but it made sense to him. She had been running around quite a bit.

"I haven't had good experiences here never and I've been coming here for like…….over a year I think it's been over a year now and it's always something gross or creepy or……" yeah she couldn't finish that because she was going to say that she'd died a few times and some of the other times she was hurt really bad and how could she say that without sounding crazy to a guy who didn't know he was a dream you know? She laughed this really silly laugh as she did with her coffee stirring it and stuff just to make sure it was mixed up maybe to have an excuse not to look at him. "So I keep thinking that you're totally some magical guy who's keeping all that creepy stuff away from us somehow and I wish I knew how you did it because I can't control when I'm here and I can't control what happens to me either and I wish I could."

He was talking about companies and money and she blinked was she dreaming Richy Rich it made her wonder what the last thing she saw on TV was and was that why he was this perfect nice hot guy who had all these companies? "What kind of companies?" She was thinking Halloween companies since this place was Halloweentown on crack why else would he want to be here what other kind of companies would be here besides "You're not in THE business are you the family business?" she used quotation fingers to ask that because she was using it's code name what she was asking him is if he was in the mafia because this would definitely be a good place to hide bodies.

She grinned because he said ex-girlfriend that made her happy because what dream guy would be worth it if he had a girlfriend that would make sharing the bed with him a lot less exciting even if all they did was share the bed and sleep in it that would be less fun if she knew he was married or had a girlfriend. "I'll eat really fast then I'm not very good being patient specially when I think a guy's bluffing." Oh snap that's right bluffing so many guys were just all talk or Moxie just met all the guys who were all talk.

He was right she did look thirsty because she was drinking the coffee fast and she shrugged still grinning. "Maybe I just want to stay awake long enough to make sure you don't hog all the covers."

Now, he was taking in all her words, the best that he could. The girl talked a mile a minute when she seemed to catch on to not wanting to say something she just stopped. Not that he expected her to spill her guts, they had just met, he just thought it was, odd. But not odd in a bad way so that was a plus. His head gave a nod while she spoke mostly to let her know that he was paying attention to her, and not just ignoring what she said. “I am sorry to disappoint you but I do not have any magic. Kind of a rarity here.” His only magic was having the bucks to get people to do what you wanted. “Though any time that you come to visit if you want to hang out or get something to eat we can.” See he didn’t even throw out there and share my bed. Didn’t mean he wasn’t thinking it. But he didn’t even know if she was the sort that would steal the covers or try to push him out.

He had to blink because before he could get out an answer to the type of companies he owned she asked if he was in THE business. As he was from Earth as well he knew what she meant. He let out a laugh, one of those deep in your belly laughs at that, because sometimes people did make comparisons but it was different. He gave a shake of his head as he answered. “No, I am not in The business.” He thought about the best way to describe what he did. “I buy companies, normally they are failing and losing money, other times I just want a company.” So he would pressure and eventually he got what he wanted. Business wise he had yet to not get something he wanted. Sometimes their was a personal vendetta often times it was simply business sense. This place would be rather good to hide the bodies. Note to self.

Yes, Winston had a chain of ex-girlfriends, which meant he currently was unattached. He would not of offered to share his bed if he had a girlfriend, or maybe he would of the way she was standing there when he came up. He had just took a bite when she said what she did, so he hurried up to chew it before opening his mouth, after the food was gone mind you. “You think I am bluffing about my sheets?” He took a drink of the coke, before he began to work on his food again. He ate at a fast speed but not overly rude, nor would he speak with the food in his mouth, two things he learnt well. Many business dinners you had to hurry with the food but not shovel it in, it became a habit forming way of eating his food. She was going to have to learn the hard way that Winston was a straight shooter about such important things!

Grin. “Why do I have the feeling that you are the blanket hog? You probably steal all the pillows too.” Wink as he spoke, “What did I get myself into?” His food was fastly disappearing off his plate and into his stomach.
