A favor [opened to Connor]
After the suspicious man and woman left the front desk for their room, Madeline set out for the stables. When she walked in, she was happy to see Connor busy working. It still amazed her how much he favored his father. Realizing the last time he had seen her she was a kid she smiled. This should prove interesting she thought. Wearing a pair of blue jeans and a white tank top, Madeline dressed more like an Aiel than a Aes Sadi. Adjusting her Great Serpent ring, Madeline picked up a pitchfork, and walked to one of the stalls near Connor. She gave him a friendly smile, and started working. "So did you get the answers you were looking for."

He turned to see who was speaking, and saw a woman not much younger than him. "Excuse me? Who are you? Wait....Madeline? Weren't you just a small-fry?" This confused him, but hey, he turned into a wolf at will, who was he to act as if something were strange? "Good thing your eyes didn't change with the rest of you. Not that I'm complaining or anything. And no, I didn't get answers, only more questions. That guy is a complete waste of time."
He noticed her work with the pitchfork and smiled. "You seem to know what you're doing, Mad. Thanks for the help. I suppose I'll find out more when we speak, Gawain and I. I told him to meet me tonight to talk, so hopefully he'll show. It's just...I grew up without a father, so I don't know how to act around him. Part of me wants to be nice and polite, the other, and more plentiful part, wants to beat every square inch of him until it bleeds. I don't know what to do." He spoke this simply, as if resigning himself to his current indecision.
"I do know one thing. He killed Father, and I want to know why. If it comes to a fight, I don't care. He will tell me what I want to know." The pitchfork he was holding was pressed into service as he finished speaking, a little more roughly than normal. He was not angry, just frustrated by his dilemna.

She gave him a soft warm smile. "Thank you for noticing. I've spent the past few weeks as a kid. Not really sure of the why's or the how's, but glad to be back to my normal twenty-three year old self."
Madeline listened to Connor as she worked. "It is hard growing up with out a father. I didn't know Gawain was mine till I was like nine or ten. Then when I was fourteen I was sent to Tar Valon for training. We were reunited two years ago. I can tell you, that Dad did what he did because he had to, not because he wanted to. He thought the world of Uncle Gareth. Hell we both did. I'm sure he'll answer any questions you have. Dad's not one for dodging a question when asked. "
Madeline sat the pitchfork down for a minute, and wiped her brow. Madeline took a minute and watched him work. "You're not bad with that thing yourself Connor. Now for the reason I'm here. I have a favor to ask of you." Madeline gave him the once over with her doe eyes. "I was wondering if I could make use of one of your other talents. Interested?"
If he looked at her then, he would see a devilish smirk on her face.

Connor stopped for a moment, leaning on his pitchfork and looking at her thoughtfully. "So he is your father after all. Don't worry, I won't hold that against you." He smiled a strained smile and got back to work. "Yeah, I have to be good with the damned thing, I have plenty of practice." Stopping again, he looked at her in light surprise. "He sent you away, huh? Well, I don't know what would have happened if Father had lived. Maybe he would have done the same, considering what I am."
As he started working once again, he nodded. "I certainly hope that he'll answer the questions I have for him...as for how he felt about Father, I don't know. I know he killed him, and that's pretty much it. You know, if he has a good reason for me, I....I don't know. It had better be a damn good reason, though." His eyes went back to her as she asked her question. "I've got a few talents, Mads. Which one are you referring to? Just for the record, I caught myself checking your ass out just now and felt like a pervert. You *do* remember that you were like...all of nine just a few days ago, right?"

Madeline giggled. "Well yeah I was, but that shouldn't stop you now. Yeah he did when I was fourteen. It's one of the best things he could have done for me. Most would hold it against there parents I suppose, but truthfully if he hadn't I wouldn't be the person I'am today."
Madeline started slinging hay with the pitchfork again. "I don't think Uncle Gareth would have sent ya away. If anything he would have had Dad train you. I know thats not what you wanna hear, but I think thats what your dad would of done. And there is nothing wrong with what you are. Hell it's a talent I wish I had sometimes." Madeline's mouth formed into a smirk. "Maybe then I could go hunting with you instead of my sister."
Madeline caught herself getting off topic. "I was wondering if I could use that damnable lycan hearing of yours. See I just checked in two new people and lets just say I felt alarms going off in my head. I put the girl in the room next to yours. I was hoping that if you heard anything suspicious, you'd tell me. The female of the two has an attitude, and the big mouth to go with it. She caused quite an uproar checking in."
Madeline stepped closer to Connor running her index finger down his sweaty chest wit a coy smile. "If you could do this for me, I'd be much appreciative."
