Re: Sweet Dreams and Slumber Beans
Epiphany was through with Jade. In fact, she was too-too through and when you were that many times of being through that was when people got marked off on your list. The list of 'people-not-worth-my-time'. A big check next to Jade's name. She didn't even know why she tried to be nice - yes she thought she had been nice, even if she put in a jab her and there - but now? Pft. There wasn't a point because it may all be taken with a grain of salt and a dose of suspicion.
So when Gwen told them to stop Epiphany had already turned her back to the other blonde even as Al had stomped her foot and started to walk away to what she knew. And what she knew consisted of the things she brought with her. Like the bags and what was in them. She got about half way there when she heard: "Are you guys seeing what I am seeing?" and with that she turned with a partial sigh to see what Al was speaking.
And there it was - Leoette was changing form. Well, that was interesting. "Staring, meow, goes a lot better with wine." Was the suggestion made by Tyger to the looks everyone else was giving the cat who was now a girl. Of course, he already knew she could change forms and therefore he wasn't surprised. He only wanted wine.
Speaking of.. didn't someone put down their glass? Pity that it was without wine. As for Jade's comment about not having a bowl he said: "I can handle a glass."
Re: Sweet Dreams and Slumber Beans
Epiphany had made it clear to Jade from the day she checked in that she didn't like her, she didn't want her here, and that Jade had no reason to trust her. Was Jade was supposed to thank her stars that when they were face to face the girl threw her fake-nice bones and half-sincere treats? Jade wasn't the type to play pretend like that - what was the point, when it wasn't like it was a real olive branch or attempt or anything, it was just behavioral fibbing. The only reason Jade had been trying the pretend tonight at all was for Gwenie.
So she really didn't know why she should try when it came to the talking wine-wanting cat. It was Epiphany's cat. And obviously the cat had brains, couldn't it see that its master didn't like her? So why was the cat asking the slumber party pariah for wine, that's what Jade wanted to know. She was tempted to say something to Epiphany like that, or even about feeding her own cat, but as soon as her green eyes looked up to watch the other blonde turn her back those eyes kept on the move rolling upwards.
Whatever, radiated from the teen queen's every pore. Jade knew she didn't belong here. No reminder necessary.
With her free hand, she grabbed one of the glasses that Al had put down and poured the cat some wine. It was one of those moments in her life that she'd never forget - she never had much interaction with animals but she was pretty sure not many people could say they had a moment quite like this. Jade filled the glass to the brim thinking it'd be easier for the cat to reach the wine with its tongue that way. "Enjoy your staring." She told the cat as she set it down in front of him. Because he was the one who said wine went well with staring.
Even though she poured herself a glass next, she didn't join in the staring fun. Especially because she wasn't the type to stare at naked girls, that was kind of opposite her comfort zone. She went over to the window instead, stepping over what bags and snacks she had to in order to get there. Sitting in the sill, she cast her gaze to gander at the nighttime and took a backseat in things for a while. Cats turning into girls was even less her expertise than wine-drinking cats or even plain ole cats were, and she was feeling a severe case of being the one-of-these-things-is-not-like-the-other. So this was probably the best way for her to honor Gwenie's request to 'stop'.

Re: Sweet Dreams and Slumber Beans
Al was staring at the kitty now turned lady, it wasn’t because of any sexual reason, but this was just a bit freaky to her. Now, she did like to look at both females and males, it was just how she was wired. But currently this was a normal wtf sort of look.
Gwen had hopped up after looking at both Epiphany and Jade, she gave them both a look, one that she thought was a grr look but it probably wouldn’t of scared a two year old. But, she wasn’t going to pick sides, she just wasn’t and that was the best that she could come up with. Before she went into action, moving to Leoette, and taking her hand. “Come on…we can’t have you standing around naked.” She wasn’t one that was shy in her own skin, but in company she thought people should be wearing clothing, and she was going to take care of that. A soft tug on Leoette’s hand and if she went with Gwen they would disappear into the first room, the smaller of the two, because Gwen hadn’t moved herself into the larger room, which would probably happen soon.
Leoette went easily enough with Gwendolyn, still confused by what had caused the transformation, a look was shot at Al, before she went into the room with Gwen, she did not have to be tugged to hard. She would not correct Gwen on her name right now that time would come later, didn’t the girl have enough going on with the two not getting along? Once they were in the room Gwen would smile, and look to Leoette, the woman was a bit shorter then her, but slim, so her clothing would fit her, maybe just a bit long. Moving she did to her dresser she pulled out a t-shirt, a basic blue with a lighter washed blue design. Then she went to a pair of loose jersey sweat pant material shorts, a dark gray in color, with a lighter gray draw string. Taking the shorts and the shirt she would hand them to Leoette. “Here you go, this might come in handy. You can keep them incase this happens again.” She thought it was the only right and proper thing to do. She did not have underclothes for the woman, but they could do that at a later time, if she was going to stay as a person.
Leoette taking the clothing would slip them on rather quickly, pulling her hair out of the shirt after she was dressed. “Thank you, Gwen.” Gwen would give a smile to Leoette, before tugging her back into the other room, as if it was a every day occurrence.
Once the pair went back into the room, she would leave Leoette with Al, a simple look to her, before going to Epiphany’s side. Gwen did not chose to talk to Epiphany first because she was choosing sides it was merely that Epiphany had gone to her corner first. Anyone that knew Gwen had to know that it would be hard for her to choose sides between the two bickering women. She spoke softly, peering at Epiphany, a gentle sigh. “You two will never get along will you?” She cast her glance over to Jade, because well unless Jade ran away she was going to go there next.
Al was talking quietly to Leoette, which might look like conspiring if one did not know better, it was mostly about what was going on and how Leoette was now in her human form.

Re: Sweet Dreams and Slumber Beans
Did Tyger care that Epiphany and Jade were not getting along? No, though he would have if their spat resulted in him not getting any wine. Luckily this didn't happen and he was given a nice full glass. His tail swished against the floor as the glass was set down and then he approached for a sniff. Finding it satisfactory he enjoyed a few laps of it with his tongue. Only a few before he looked around the room. Seemed like people had split up and he couldn't help but snicker.
He had no real loyalties to anyone in this room despite who he happened to arrive with and if he wanted to stave off his kitty boredom then he should go where the most interesting thing was happening. Sadly that was in the room the naked shapeshifter had been taken and it looked like their conversation was a closed one. He didn't feel like asking for entrance so he would do something else instead. Taking another lap or two of the wine he stretched, kicking one foot out behind him and arching his back. This cat was feeling sleepy. He cast a look to Gwen as he saw her heading over towards Epiphany and then proceeded towards the door. This is where he stopped: right in front of the door. With a smirk on his feline face he he laid right there. He wasn't really blocking anyone's exit. Not really.
Epiphany was busying herself with returning her firework making objects back into her bag by the time Gwen came over. She looked up at her sister a moment to flash a smile before she went back to her work, those things had to be set in securely or else risk breakage and mixing of chemicals in who-knows-what type of order. "You took Leoette's change well," starting in a conversational tone, as though her blow up at Jade had never happened.
"But I suppose when it comes to Rhy'din things like that are to be expected. Shape-shifter, maybe. Unless your sister worked magic on her." That was an amusing and interesting thought. Epiphany knew that Al was Azlin's kid, which meant she had ability - she had seen a taste of it herself - so it was a possibility!
That's right. Epiphany was avoiding the Jade question all together.
Re: Sweet Dreams and Slumber Beans
She could have listened to Gwenie and Epiphany's conversation. Or even the whispered one between Al and the used-to-be-cat. With her vampirically enhanced senses, she could have done either of those things really easily.
She didn't though. She was thinking about other things. Getting introspective, maybe it could be put like that. It happened to people all the time, it even happened at slumber parties, right? At least it did now. She remained seated at the window, her gaze remained out the window, her thoughts remained elsewhere but what was important - at least she felt - was that she herself remained here. In Gwenie's room, at Gwenie's party, supporting her bff's sleepover as she'd promised Gwenie in the hall earlier.
Here. That word became a loaded word, when she opened it up in her mind a bit. Here could also mean this floor, but it could also mean this inn, this town, this planet. And those heres were something she'd been thinking about a lot lately. They were what she was thinking about now. Lately she'd felt like a walking question without an answer but now, something had clicked and while she hadn't found the answer to life, the universe and everything…well, a few things were taking a bit more shape.
And there was definitely one question she knew the answer to. The question of wine. And the answer was, now as not a good time. At least the teen queen had learned that much, to not do something that would downshift a situation from bad to worse.
Well, she learned not to do that most of the time. Right now just happened to be part of that most.

Re: Sweet Dreams and Slumber Beans
“I really don’t know what happened! It felt strange like I couldn’t control anything…and the next thing I knew…” “Have you changed before?” “Well…..” “Well? Is that a yes or no?” “It’s a I would rather not answer that.” “Why is that?” A look was given from Leoette to Al. Before the voices went softer again.
Gwen lifted her gaze away from the two, because she kept peeking at the used to be kitty and the new found sister, and back to Epiphany. A small shrug of those shoulders she was distracted. By the question. “I figured she wasn’t a normal kitty, she hasn’t grown in over a year. And she’s so little.” Did that mean she knew that Leoette/Violet was a shape shifter? No. It just meant she figured something wasn’t right. But she did not feel any tingles around her, that would of given away a warning. Nor had they intensified when Gwen took her by the hand and into the other room.
She paused, now that was a thought. “Do you think Al might have had something to do with it?” At that thought she peeked over at Tyger, in front of the door, making sure he was still a cat and not a naked man in the room. She would assume a naked man, because they referred to the cat as a male, and Leoette was naked in the other form. Gaze would move to Jade before looking to Epiphany, a soft sigh before she moved to hug Pip’s shoulder.
Figuring that she wasn’t going to get anything from Pip, she would slip away from her, not saying she would stay away from the girl. She moved over up next to Jade, a small bump on the shoulder, lightly. “Hey….how you doing?” She would take a different tactic then the one she had taken with Epiphany, that didn’t go over to well, so she thought to switch things?
Gaze switched a way a moment to look to the pair, the cat by the door just checking, to Epiphany with her big bag and back upon Jade.

Re: Sweet Dreams and Slumber Beans
Epiphany was watching the now two other girls. It gave her something to do besides what she wanted to do: shoulder her bags and scoot Tyger out of the door so she could leave. She didn't have a problem with conflict but from what she knew of her sister Gwen, she didn't and who knew how long this quasi-peace was going to last between the two separated blondes?
She listened to Gwen and nodded at what she said about Leoette. If you came across a normal thing here in Rhy'din that was probably what you needed to look out for. The normal things, because they were so rare. Maybe that was why Tyger had taken interest in the white cat because it wasn't simply a cat? Perhaps she would have to talk to her sister about feelings. She hadn't expected anything about her pet because there were no bad vibes. Maybe... Epiphany sighed, being sure to hold in her sigh until Gwen had gotten up. When she was asked if Al could have caused the shift she had only given a nod and a small shrug. The reason she didn't speak was because she wasn't sure how her words would sound and she didn't want it to be taken the wrong way.
Epiphany also waited until Gwen was gone before she took up her bag. She didn't stand or make any movement towards the door, she was only getting prepared just in case. Besides that, having something familiar next to her made her feel a bit better and a bit was better than nothing at all. So while Gwen went to talk to Jade and Al was talking to the former white cat and Tyger was napping in front of the door, Epiphany scooted back to the wall, when her bag hit it she stopped and pulled up her knees to her chest and wrapped her arms around them. Maybe she was tired, but whatever it was she was going to sit here for a moment or two. Possibly twelve.
Re: Sweet Dreams and Slumber Beans
Like a lot of stuff Jade said, when Gwenie bumped her arm and asked her how she was doing the words spilled out of her lips pretty much unfiltered and unchecked. "I think I should go and let you take care of your cat, Gwenie." Sure the blonde talking with Al didn't look anything like a cat anymore, but Jade had no idea what else to call it or if the cat was a woman who had just been pretending to be a cat, or a cat now pretending to be a woman. So cat seemed to be the simplest way to put it.
Jade's green eyes shifted from gazing out the window to her bff. It was obvious that Jade wasn't happy, it didn't take a rocket scientist to diagnose her with a serious case of the sullens. But she hadn't said what she did as an excuse to high-tail it out of the room - she really meant it. The most recent turn of events seemed like something a bit more private than sleepover stuff. Otherwise Al and the cat wouldn't be putting in the effort to keep their conversation hush hush. In Jade's opinion it shouldn't have to be hush hush, they should have the freedom to speak without worry about who was hearing what was said. "I really don't know anything about stuff like that, but it seems like she needs help. I can sleepover another time?"
Amended after a pause. "Or you could sleepover at my place?" Okay, so that was the one selfish comment in Jade's equation. If they had the sleepover at her place, it meant that she'd be able to have control of the guest list. And control over who was in her relative space, and where her relative space was, those things were something that Jade had just decided she wanted control over after tonight.
She stood up from her spot on the windowsill, ready to give Gwenie a goodbye hug. As her green eyes glanced over to the two still having quiet talk, she couldn't help thinking about how she would've reacted if her pet grew into a person without any warning. Knowing her own temper, Jade had a feeling she would have freaked the frick out.

Re: Sweet Dreams and Slumber Beans
Al, she would slip away from Leoette, the blonde woman was taking a seat on the couch, the correct way. Legs bending at the knees and all. She had gotten the truth out of the other girl, which some might or might not of heard, and she had told her she needed to come out to Gwen now. She didn’t think that Gwen should be kept in the dark any longer. The reason Al was going over to Pip was to ask her thoughts, she knew Gwen longer then Al did, hadn’t she? Her voice was quiet but not because of Jade, but because of Gwen, she wanted Leoette to come out to her, not be ousted. “Epiphany….Gwen’s cat is a shape shifter. Azlin got her to watch out for Gwen, because she was worried about the girl.” That part Al couldn’t blame Az for worrying about Gwen. “She said she would tell Gwen about it, I think she should tell Gwen, what do you think? Don’t you think it would be better iffen she came out to her instead of someone telling Gwen, oh by the way…” She would wait for a reply.
The whole time, Leoette, or rather Violet was sitting on the couch, looking thoughtful. Her brain was running scenarios through her head, much like the ones she had running through her head when she went to Jamison for advice. She hoped he was right and that young Gwen as he called her, wouldn’t hold things against her, because she had come to care for the girl greatly in the time that she had been with her.
And that left Gwen, Gwen whom was over with Jade, her bff. It really really would have been selfish not to ask Jade to go. Gwen did need to deal with her cat, and it was probably for the best that she not toss Jade and Epiphany in a room over night together. Let alone for a long period of time. When there were more people around to mingle with it might not be so bad, the girls could be distracted. She wasn’t the selfish sort so she would smile to Jade. “I will stay here tonight. But one night soon you will have to have me over for a slumber party, or a sleep over with you. And we will go…on an adventure.” Her eyes would give away that she wanted to go flying with her bff. She wanted that adventure more then Jade knew, and seeing she didn’t give away that secret any more, there were not to many that knew about her wings.
Now, here was where she was typical Gwen, and she might catch Jade off in left field but she leaned in and hugged Jade, before the girl could react perhaps. She was happy, not about her friend leaving, but about Leo, and that happy was bursting out, and warring with her sadness over the fact the two most important females to her, seemed to hate each other. Not to say that the others wouldn’t get to be important to her and just as much, but that’s how it was as of right now.

Re: Sweet Dreams and Slumber Beans
What Epiphany was thinking about while she sat there with her bag on her back and arms around her legs was anyone's guess, though some would have better guesses than others. She was looking down at the floor when she heard Al coming closer. When the other girl sat down Pip turned her head and gave a small smile. "Are you nervous? You seem nervous or in shock about the whole cat-turn-girl when causing the change was most likely your doing anyway." Leaning slightly towards the other girl when she said the last bit.
But then she gave a small shrug and straightened back out. "No worries though. Not like you turned her into a Shifter or anything, just caused her to not have as tight a hold on the ability as she usually has." So Al wouldn't think that Epiphany was upset or anything like that over the new Leoette. Looking over at the solitary girl on the couch she didn't see what the problem was, not really. If Leoette was someone to be concerned over then she wouldn't be sitting over there looking like heavy thoughts were on her mind.
"I think that even if Leoette never told Gwen anything about herself, whether if she could always change, if this is a first time thing, or if she's been going about as her alter-ego self from time to time since she found her that Gwen wouldn't be upset. She probably wouldn't even be annoyed. It's not like her." Gwen had even been unsettled by her over Epiphany and Jade earlier. In her opinion Gwen would believe that Leoette had a good reason for not telling her about the ability and since she wasn't trying to harm her it was okay and she could see them hugging within five minutes. It's just how her sister was.
"She's not like me and therefore what Leoette decides to do doesn't really matter because it will all be smiles in the end." And that is what she believed.
Re: Sweet Dreams and Slumber Beans
There was totally relief in Jade's return hug. Because she knew Gwenie, who she believed could mean well and find the silver lining in any situation, she'd been worried that her bff would plead with her to stay. And Jade just didn't think she could do that, for a lot of reasons - including the conversation that she heard start up between Epiphany and Al. The assured authority Epiphany spoke with totally didn't escape this blonde's attention, and Jade knew she didn't have anything to say about the evening's unexpected event that was even remotely as intelligent. The last thing she wanted to give Epiphany was another reason to cut her down or for another spike in fightin' words to transpire.
"You can keep the wine?" It was sheepish urging on Jade's part, like she wanted to do something to apologize for how this night turned out. There was no mistaking the frown on her lips as her green eyes strayed from her Gwenie to take in the rest of the room. She hadn't even made it to the makeover portion of the sleepover and she was already bolting. Ugh. Just ugh. Right now she felt like a terrible friend. And an even worse bff.
It was while she was looking things over that she saw the wine drinking cat had fallen asleep in front of the door. Without thinking twice, she glanced back at Gwenie and would ask a question that was pretty much rhetorical since she was already climbing up onto the window ledge. "I'm going to head out through the window, Gwenie, is that okay?" Considering how smoothly she drew both legs up to perch, it probably wasn't hard to tell this was something she did often. Sure she could've asked the cat to move, but at the same time let's face it - she was just going to go out on the prowl anyway so she might as well take the express lane to the great outdoors.
She needed to vent some frustrations, and that wasn't going to happen cooped up in her room. "I'll talk to you soon. Really soon." Jade was going to do everything in her power to keep up that side of the bargain, in order to make up for how things went today. Even though she knew she had a lot to sort through now she would absolutely find the time for her bff. A quick glance at Al and at the cat who was now a woman, and a hasty, "Good night everyone. Sorry," was offered before she hopped out the window. Gravity dropping her a few feet before her talent took over and she soared upward, speeding through the air towards a more bustling area of the city.

Re: Sweet Dreams and Slumber Beans
The odd thing was, the whole time the conversations were going on, Violet did not move from the couch. Fingers plucked at the fabric of the shirt she was wearing, thankfully Gwen wasn't to much taller then her, and they were both on the thin size. Her body was more toned but the slim was what mattered. The thoughts were going crazy in her mind, though she really thought Gwen was handling this much better then how she thought it would go. Her mind flickered to Jamison, because he was the only one she had talked to about this, well really about most things.
Al gave a nod to Epiphany. "I don't know what I did though! Unless it was the petting? Do you think that could of done it?" She really was a bit confused about the actions. And then the other words that Epiphany said made sense to her as well. Then she was letting out a soft laugh. "From what I have seen with Gwen I have to say your right." She might be the youngest of the three but her upbringing was totally different then the others. Plus she wouldn't know about herself if it wasn't for Epiphany, she might of still thought herself mortal.
And Gwen, well she was looking to Jade. She could of begged Jade to stay, but she knew the under currents between her sister and her bff, and even Gwen, whom could be greedy and want her cake and eat it too, wouldn't tempt that fate. Least not tonight. Gwen would take the words that Jade said about them talking to each other soon, really soon, to heart. If Jade didn't find Gwen, she would have to search her out, because she really wanted to spend time with her bff. And she really really wanted to go flying with her bff. "Be safe Jade." She didn't know where the girl was going, but for some reason she had the urge to say it. Maybe it was so Jade knew Gwen cared? Course she already knew that but sometimes...well yeah.
Al would give a wave to Jade as she slipped out the window. That wasn't odd, was it, heck yes it was, but that wasn't getting spoken. At the same moment Violet turned to look to the window, for she heard the voice. Both girls spoke at the same time. "Have a good night." "Good night, Jade." would be spoken over each other.
Gwen looked between Leoette on the couch and Al and Epiphany. Debating which way she was going to go. Then over to the kitty and the couch she went. Slipping herself down on the couch she looked to Leoette. Her head tilting a bit, as she studied the girl. "So are you a kitty or are you a person?" Perhaps it wasn't the most properly worded thing but it was a question that was on her mind.

"I think that you should talk to your mom or at least someone who knows something about magic." Epiphany said as she shifted her bag and stood.
"And that person isn't me. The extent of my magical knowledge is knowing that you have to focus on what it is you want to have happen and it starts to happen." This bit of knowledge was attributed to the Nuns at the church she worked at for that is how they taught her to work healing. Epiphany took that information and improvised. She never had a 'proper teacher' to aid in what she was. "Perhaps you were thinking about her being human? Back past The Door you did make flowers bloom by thinking about it."
Al had been petting both cats right, though Epiphany had nothing too offer to as to the reason why Tyger didn't do a transformation. Then again, Al did say that Leoette was a Shifter so therein was the difference? "You know, this is turning into more of a family affair so maybe...." Leaving it like that as she assumed that Al would get that she was suggesting that she leave for the night, even if she was family. There was always the issue of Tyger at the door.
Really, he was so sleep that he couldn't be woken up. In truth, that cat was very much awake he only had his eyes closed to give the impression of being sleep. Though he wasn't 'technically' responsible for these young ladies who were somehow related he knew that he couldn't let them to their own imaginings while he was still here. At that moment he flicked his tail so it could flop back down against the floor.
It was his way of saying he was aware.
