After leaving the Starbucks it really did not take them very long to pull up outside of the Inn. After turning onto the drive up to the Inn, she slowed on the motorcycle, not fearing that she would be hit from behind. If it had been anyone else behind her, there was a chance of that, not paying attention. She would guide the bike into a empty spot on the side of the Inn. Parking and putting down the kick stand as she turned the key off. Slipping from the bike in one fluid motion, before the helmet was taken off, pulled up under her arm. A shake of her head, to get rid of any chance of helmet hair, even as the hand that was not holding the helmet moved up to run between locks.
She cast a smile over her shoulder, towards Malice, before she looked to her. "Ready to get this started?" The inn really was not prepared for the havoc the two of them could bring when the mood struck. She did not have to wait for the answer, she knew what it was already, and so she fell into step with her sister and through the Inn's doors they would go.
Once they were inside, she would pause half a moment, before stepping towards the desk. Upon reached the desk, she would turn in a small circle, looking around, a grin slipping over her features as she stopped and landed upon Malice. "I dare say this place has potential." That impish grin was showing, as she awaited either for her sister's words or someone to assist them.

"This place has a lot of potential."
That voice came from the person who was currently under the desk. Why she was there is a perfectly valid question. The answer: because she wanted to be. Under the desk and between the two front legs was a nice spot where a small enough person could curl up and not easily be seen by anyone approaching the desk from behind, the shadows there helped with that. Epiphany wanted to be around people, but at the same time not, and curling up under the desk provided her with a good compromise in her opinion. For just 'laying low' it was great.
Epiphany heard the two of them enter into the doors - she even caught a small bit of the motorcycle as it parked - but more importantly, aside from what she heard, it was what she felt when they entered. At least one of them was a vampire and it prickled at her skin and pulled at her other nature. When she hard the voice that spoke it kind of sounded familiar, but she wasn't quite certain.
For moments longer Epiphany stayed where she was as she pulled her bare knees to her chest and wrapped her arms around her legs. Not all of them deserve to die. Not all of them deserve to die. She had to pull herself together and repeating that to herself helped. Slightly. So she uncurled her arms and pushed back her hair before she moved out and stood from her spot.
"But it's the for that I am interested in." Epiphany said as she looked at the two females at the desk. Both of them she knew, though one better than the other. Her eyes moved from J.J. to Malice and it was there that they lingered. Surely Malice would remember Epiphany.
She leaned on the counter with her left arm as she let her right hang down at her side. "What brings the two of to the Tel'Ranaemyn Inn today?"

It was Malice who wore a look of surprise just for a moment, but it was there. The last time she had seen Pip was at the Alliance and now here she was tending an Inn? Interesting. With her question the Sadist shot her sister a look before that cold gaze met Pips once more."Hello to you too Pip, and to answer your question We're just looking for a place to stay for a few days."There really was no need to alarm the female. Hell, she already thought Malice's hair screamed.
She offered what she hoped would be a friendly smile. Yes, Malice liked Pip, but since when did she ever give anyone a genuine smile unless it was Doug or her sister? She waited for J.J to confirm her statement and while doing that she took the time to study Pip, there was something different about her since their last encounter. She almost seemed to be trying to control herself but from what or why, Malice did not know, it would have to wait however because Malice wanted to get to her room. She had something to take care of.
She didn't wait for J.J to answer but took charge herself. That was more her nature than playing the silent partner."So, do you think you can accommodate us? Preferably something private and spacious."Malice didn't want to just blurt out that she wanted the best room they had to offer, that wouldn't be very polite, but that is exactly what she wanted. Hopefully Pip would remember her tastes and know what she was thinking. Plus if Doug showed up, they'd also have their privacy.

Oh she caught that look, and she had the most angelic look she could, slip over her features. Before she turned that smile to Epiphany. Perhaps Epiphany would only have a foggy memory of her, and such a look would be pulled off to a T. "Hello Epiphany." Full name service coming from the younger of the two. You mean that Malice's hair didn't scream?
She did confirm the story, even though if Epiphany knew anything about the duo before her, she would know that while J.J. might pout or even want to put her foot down, she listened when her sister spoke. Unless it was about the male species then it was like talking into a sea shell. J.J. had the worst taste in men, as evident by her latest escapades, but it was her taste. She did not speak up much, because she figured she had already said enough, when they came in thinking that they were alone.
She was rather easy going about where she slept. She liked a room that had a nice bed. No straw, that got stuck in your hair, and sometimes it was a pain to get out.

Men. You mean that the lovely Jacinda Joy better known as his personal joy had other men. What a shot to the ego. If she had happened to look at her rings the one that protected her from him would be glowing. Just a hint of a blue. Nothing to gaudy or attention getting just enough to let her know he was near. The ring was the only one he had ever given anyone nor did he plan on giving out another.
Funny he came here and found his Prize who left him high and dry. He camped here while returning to the tavern he had been at the first night. It seemed that Fate was giving him something else instead. He took the last few steps and leaned against the wall. His arm was against the wall. The right leg was straight, while the left cocked out at a angle ankle locking with the other.
He could talk but he wished to wait to see his Joys response when she spotted him there.

It wasn't anything personal against Malice, it was only what she was and Epiphany's 'problem' with those of Malice's particular race had only grown since the last time they saw each other. Therefore when it was mentioned that the two females would like a room private and spacious Epiphany started drawing circles on the desk with her finger as she looked between the two. "How about a tall tower won't take anything at all to have one made. Or perhaps the basement?"
She let those two suggestions settle in the air before she continued, taking in a long pull of air first. "Although we do still have a suit available on the third floor. It faces the morning sun. That won't be problem would it?" The end of the question meant specifically for Malice as Pip directed her attention back to her once more. J.J... Epiphany had a very vague memory of. She remembered seeing her but doubted that they had much interaction. Nothing life changing - that she could tell - had happened to the girl since.
Unless Malice had changed there had to be something else that was pulling at Epiphany's other side, trying to draw it to the surface. That 'something else' would be the casual guy leaning on the wall and the location where her eyes were currently fixed. There was something about that guy that prickled at her more than Malice and she had to pull her eyes from him and focus on the ledger she pulled out. Good thing no one could see her foot behind the desk because it was silently tapping while she sought to settle herself.
Re: ¥ There Goes The Neighborhood ¥ -:|[ Open ]|:-
It seemed like an eternity had passed in the few seconds that actually did, but why she didn't know. The causal exchange between Pip and her sister had no immediate bearing on Malice so she listened to Pip talk up the room. She acknowledge that it would suit her just fine with a simple nod.No need to build a tower on her behalf the suite would be just fine. Now, it was her turn to notice the male leaning against the wall. Depths of liquid steel took him, single sculpted brow rose in silent question to herself. Something about him didn't sit well with Malice, maybe it was the way he was looking at her sister.
Taking her attention back to her sister it was then she really caught the look that Pip was giving him before she caught herself. True, they might not be able to see her foot tapping, but Malice could hear it and wondered what the female was trying to fight down inside her, but seriously Malice just wanted to be directed towards her room she was never the social type and although she loved her sister, Malice needed her alone time. So for the moment the male and everything that was transpiring with and without her knowledge was dismissed. Slightest movement of hand would reposition the satchel. She was going to have to talk Doug into getting her a more compact way of communicating like the new iPad.
Light chuckle came with a shake of her head, she had really been spoiled when it came to the newest gadgets thanks to Doug"It was nice seeing you again Pip, and we will catch up on what I've missed while I'm here. Now, if you could point me in the right direction I will take leave of you and my sister for a bit."Safe to say, that Malices' bluntness was something that never changed, social graces were not lost on her but she had a long day and just wanted to unwind she was sure they would understand and maybe J.J would handle her business against the wall or maybe she had gotten in over her head and needed her help. Either way, later...everything would be dealt with later.

J.J. was oblivious to Epiphany's tapping, or even if there was a look on her face. The same could be said about her sister for a moment. Because both women had looked towards the stairs, so her own gaze would follow suit. When her eyes landed where theirs had strayed, she blinked, and looked down at her hand, at that one ring glowing. Now, she knew what he could do, and she wanted to make sure that he was real and not in her mind, even though that was what the ring protected her against. Partly.
Her gaze did not leave Kendrick, oh no, those eyes stayed put. Watching for something, maybe, a sign. Before she would listen to what they said, for she wanted to know where her sister would be lodged. Slowly her eyes left the man, and went back to her sister. "We can catch up more later?" She heard her tell Pip that, but she figured that they should catch up on a few other things as well, such as the tall drink of water that was looking their way. That was one drink that she had yet to tell Malice of, and when she was partaking that particular thirst, she had been off of the radar so to speak.
Look was shot to Epiphany, "I also need my own room please." The please was tacked on she was doing her best to use manners, she didn't want to get kicked out before she even got a room. She had said the words, before a glance to Kendrick, wondering what he would think about that. He never was the sort to let her run ramp-shed over him, and they did have an agreement of sorts, when they were both in the same place. Oh, he knew what she was, and she knew what he was. Oddly it worked.
She could not blame Malice for wanting her alone time, she was not the only one in the family that enjoyed such. J.J. may be more social at times then her sister, but that shouldn't fool anyone, for underneath the wrapper she was truly her sister's sister.

The one behind the desk he had not met. She was not the one that had checked him into the place. He still had plans to run into the first lady he had met that day. The other woman he sensed something but that was not something to deal with at this moment. The full penetrating blue gaze of his was upon his Joy. No words passed through his lips. That was until the chit said that she needed her own room. Could she not read the look he had given her? How disappointing.
Time for him to speak up. Not moving from his spot against the wall, he was rather comfortable in said position. “Joy you do not need your own room. I have a suite to share with you.” His words were said in such a way that he would not hear otherwise. It was his luck wasn’t it that he stuck around and had her fall into his lap. Not literally yet.
He wanted her close to him. Better to keep his eyes not to mention his hands upon her if she was in his rooms.

Malice was just about to move from the spot she stood when the voice of the male stopped her. Mantilla of ebon now narrowed over mercury depths and fixated on him. Her words although semi sweet in nature were laced with cyanide. "I think not. Pip, if at all possible keep my sisters room as close to mine as you can get." In her world Malice was Queen B, and not the bumble kind either, and when it came to her sister there was nothing or nobody that would come between them.
She relaxed her gaze as it was redirected towards J.J in silent question as if to ask who this fool was. Of course it only reaffirmed to the Sadist that her sisters taste in men was not a healthy one, and this male seemed to be really attached and yet J.J not so much so. Maybe it was more unconscious than anything but Malice stepped closer to her sister, closing in rank to make sure the male didn't dare lay a hand on her. Her voice once more broke her thoughts but this time it was for her sister and her sister alone."You can explain this one later, but do not share his room. He's trouble and you and I both know it."
The big sister role was so natural for Malice that it puzzled even her at times. J.J was true blood and not one precious drop would spill while she was near. Yes, Malice was sure there was a history between this man and her sister but for the time being she wasn't about to let it repeat itself. The immortal daughter wasn't a naive twit either, her sister would do as she damn well pleased but in this instance Malice wanted the upper hand. No matter the miles between them, when push came to shove the Kinkaid sisters always stood together and what a vicious pair they made when provoked.

Epiphany didn't pay any more attention to the conversations going on than she had to. Suite. Share with me. My own room. I don't think so. That was all she needed and when she looked at the rooms and instead of only pulling out one key she pulled out two and held them both in her hand.
"As luck would have it, we have two suites left on that floor and they happen to be next to each other." Which meant that they both faced the morning sun. The two keys were set on the desk and pushed forward, they were for rooms 301 and 303, she was going to leave it up to Malice and J.J. to decide who was getting what room. Even if Malice may make that an easy choice as she seemed very anxious to get to get room. "So I guess it works out for two of you at least."
It was the male who was partially out of lucky. However, who's to say that J.J. wouldn't unofficially stay in his room anyway? Those suites were easily big enough for more than one. Epiphany was only thankful that the lot of them were not saying on her floor as she was having enough trouble as it is maintaining when she spent days at the Inn. No need to make it worse. Right now she wanted to get them off and on their way.
Then she produced a pen and placed it on top of the ledger. "All that's left for you to do is sign next to the room number you get. You can pay when you leave and your bar tab is added on unless you pay at time of purchase." A slight pause before she directed her next comment to Malice. "We even have a drink for a more particular taste." And why was that? Because she preferred to have things for them here than have them seek it elsewhere and from a more fresher source.

She would cast a look back to Kendrick. It was her way of telling him that she was going to do what her sister wished. It did not mean that she wouldn't be meeting with him. They had things to discuss. She could not simply hide from that fact, it was not in her to do so, and really nothing would be accomplished. She knew him well enough that he would not cause a scene. He would not let things drop either. She was used to men that did both of those things, the sort that she could just walk right over, and Kendrick was a refreshing change.
For a little bit longer, she wanted to keep him her dirty little secret, which she flashed to him with eye contact. Then she turned to Malice, of course the man was trouble, but not for her. Those things would be spoken later, after Malice had rested, she could explain things. "I won't share his room." For now, was left off, nor had she said she wouldn't spend time with him. But she would have her own room. She was strong willed, and having two other strong wills wanting two things, she would not exert her own at the time. Blood before all else.
When Epiphany said that she had two rooms, both facing the morning sun, she might of groaned. She had nothing against the sun, really she was mortal, but she did enjoy her sleep, so already she was planning on getting some nice dark panels to cover the windows with. Something she could push aside when she wanted to let the light in.
Allowing Malice to chose which room she wanted out of the two, for really it did not matter to J.J. It was a room but sometimes her sister had reasons for things. She would take which ever key that Malice did not, and sign her name on the corresponding with the key.

He was trouble? Was that not like the kettle calling the pot black? Either way he knew he would get his time with his Joy. He may not like to take the refusal, but take it he would, this time. She had talked about her sister, Malice, during their time together so he knew what to expect. He was wise enough not to ask her to stand against her sister in this trivial aspect.
Pushing off the wall with one final look to J.J. he turned and went up the stairs. He did not need to tell her what room he was in she would find him easily enough when she was ready. She should know not to keep him waiting to long or her little secret might not stay that way.

Funny how Malice always expected for people to do what she suggested, or in J.J's case sometimes ordered. She was proud of the woman her sister had become, even though her taste in males needed improvent. Male leaning against the wall was forgotten as she listened to Pip."Sounds fine Pip." And that was that as far as she was concerned. Pip's hint to her choice of drink wasn't lost on her, had something changed within her to make her feel this way?
Like J.J she wasn't a big fan of the sun, so her room would also need a bit of redecorating. Granted a friend many years ago gave her an elemental to protect her from the sun, but she only used it when she had to go out. In her own room however, minor adjusts...nothing more. Slender fingers gripped the pen before the key and signed her name beside room number 303. Pen was then handed to her sister while she caught a glimpse of the male going upstairs. She was sure she hadn't seen the last of him. Pad of thumb pressed and rubbed the key within her grasp as she waited for J.J. "Shopping later? Seems I didn't pack for this trip."
The Sadist didn't think she'd be staying long to need a suitcase, something she was going to have to let Doug know. She said a few days, and it seemed that roots were already forming beneath the feet of the Kinkaid sisters. Doug would soon be informed of everything, which hopefully would bring him to her door. Having someone to possibly keep tabs on the male interested in J.J would be useful. As was her way, Malice didn't wait for an answer really, what woman would pass up shopping? So without further ado, she slinked her way towards the stairs to seek her salvation behind a closed door.
