Hoppin' down the bunny trail....
[ If anyone wants to play feel free. ]
Now, did anyone doubt that Gwendolyn was going to be doing something for some people for Easter? I mean really the girl was just a box of holiday cheer wasn't she? As that was, she had gone on a trip, a trip into town, to get supplies. She had the items delivered under the cover of night. She did not want her surprise to get out.
So, after the items had been delivered they had already been paid for, Gwendolyn got to work. First she set out the baskets, each basket was different from the next, the colors and the weaves. The baskets had all been hand weaved, only the best, and dyed with all natural colors for dyes. Then she would take the candy grass, that part she was excited about, edible grass, not real grass, but still! Next she put a few dyed eggs, real hard boiled and dyed eggs into the baskets. She had a little assembly line going on in her room. Next she would pick up two of those plastic eggs, the ones that you could pop open. The eggs had been filled with different candies, each color had different candies in them, so no two baskets had two eggs of the same color. Next to the eggs, real and plastic, were chocolate bunnies. Each bunny was different, she had told the chocolater about the people that each bunny was for, and he had given them all characteristics that matched what Gwendolyn told him. A example would be Leo's Chocolate bunny was in a epic hero pose, Epiphany's chocolate bunny was dressed as Peter Pan, and Jade's had actually black clothing on it, and a small bottle of red wine. That's what Gwen said she liked her wine. Of course, there were other people that were getting baskets, those were just some examples. Just a little something you know.
Once she had her baskets all filled up, a few of them had some other odds and ends in them, she would get ready. You could not drop off Easter baskets wearing every day clothing. She would take her bunny costume into the bathroom, and get changed. When she came out, she was wearing a light blue leotard, satin that was fit to her, there was no sleeves for the top of the leotard came up and seemed almost like pointy heart shape. A white tail was attached to the rear end of the leotard, bunnies needed tails! Nothing covered her arms. Upon her head she had light blue and white satin ears, her hair was loose, hiding the head band part of her ears. Legs were partially covered with large hole fishnet stockings, feet were in a pair of heels that were stiletto heels, a band went across the front top of her feet, that had fluffy band of feathers on top.
She was about to get a work out, because she had to get the baskets delivered. She would pick up the baskets that she had for Jade, Leo and Auntie Tia and Gawain. Carefully she would balance Jades and Leo's basket in one hand, and the other in her other hand. Slipping from her room, she would carefully, very carefully shut her rooms door. Then she was doing a little hop, the best she could in the stiletto heels, she had strong delicately shaped ankles. Once she reached the stairs she carefully negotiated them, then she would move to Auntie Tia's door and place the basket that had two chocolate figures there. Then she took Leo's and set his outside the door of the room he shared when he was there. Then over to Jades room, and she would set that one down. Jades basket had a surprise in the bottom of it, and a note that let her know that the grass was edible. Out of the three she didn't know why but she wanted Jade to know that it was. Then back to her room, as fast as her little stiletto feet would take her. And into her room.
The second batch of baskets she picked up were for, Dr. Donald Blake, Spider had given him to her for a bit, along with Winston and De'Ryanna. Those three baskets were for recipients on the same floor as her own, so that did not take much at all. De'Ryana's bunny looked tough on the outside, but if she happened to see the inside it was marshmallow. Dr Donald Blakes was well a doctor, and Winston's was a body builder. It was a quick little trip really before she was ducking back into her room.
It was when she entered her room again that it hit her, she really really shouldn't of done the baskets on her floor, because now she was going to have to figure out how to get the rest out, without getting caught. She did not care if people found them after she was done delivering that was the point, but she was scared of getting distracted. Now, she had left one Easter basket she had made in her room, for she really had no room to carry any more. Each arm had two basket handles danging from her arms and a basket per each hand, when she slipped out again. To the stairs this time she went down the steps.
Once she reached the main floor, she was bouncing in the stiletto's again, which could if she thought about it, the sound of the heels on the floor, but that didn't come into her mind. She was just glad that she wasn't falling down, thankfully, yet. She made her way to the door of Azlin, placing her basket there with a bunny that had little hearts all around it. Then she reached Vesta's door and she set the basket with the rainbow colored bunny with a chocolate mini squirrel down. She remembered Vesta from day one at the Inn, the Lady of the Tree, truth be told. Heels clicking she made her way to the next door on her list, Jamison's, his chocolate bunny had a wizards stick. A small grin before turning and placing a basket outside of Spiders door. If she left nothing saying whom it was from, then the Spider wouldn't know whom gifted it to her, and it would be a true gift, with nothing in return! The chocolate bunny there wasn't a bunny at all, but a chocolate spider, all eight legs and all. Still had two baskets left upon her arms and she moved to Cyrus's door. Basket was placed there as well. His chocolate bunny was more likened to the first time they had met. One basket left, she made her way to the front counter, because she couldn't trust the Door. The Door would eat Epiphany's basket and not let her have it back. So she made her way to the desk, right in the lobby and set the basket down, she had already prepared a note that read: To Epiphany, From: The Easter Bunny.
Once all her baskets were delivered she did not go straight back to her room, instead she went to the bar, she was suddenly thirsty. And she needed to plot, plot about that other basket in her room. She made her way into the bar, smiled to the tender on duty, and got her self a pomegranate juice to drink. Very careful not to spill anything on her bunny suit. If anyone happened to walk past, they would see her back, the satin light blue leotard, and that bunny tail.

Now, while Gwendolyn was sitting at the bar, her plan, was going according to plan. Not that she would know it. She could only hope that things would work out the way that they would go. The Inn would be getting a visitor. Though the whole time the visitor was there she would be sipping her juice. Thinking of a way to deliver the basket to Archer. She could just walk over there, but stiletto's had a habit of being hard to walk on dirt and other paths.
Meanwhile, there was a costumed Easter Bunny, this bunny looked like your typical Easter Bunny should, not the way that Gwen did. This Easter Bunny had a couple of baskets, and he would make his way over to the ground level room, that belonged to the Doctor, Catherine and their wee ones. Okay so he hopped, like a real hop, and he set the baskets down in front of the door. He would knock on the door, though he didn't wait, it was more of a look you have something here, and besides they might not be in. And he hopped away.
When they did get the door, they would see in one basket was for the adults and the baby girl. No chocolate bunny here, this one had a chocolate LED light, that actually worked, well it would until it either a. melted or b. got ate. There was a baby rattle in the shape of a bunny, and a egg tether with different nubs. Gwen had read that mermaids liked shiny objects, so that was exactly what was in there, a shiny sliver, hair adornment.
The second basket was for Lumie. Killian had told her about him, and she wasn't about to leave him out, even if she hadn't met him. The basket for him would be filled with sweet treats, because she didn't know him at all, she didn't know what he might like.
The third and final basket that the bunny left, was for Killian. His basket had a few sweets, she wasn't one to give kids to many sweets. His basket also had two wooden cars, that were not painted, for there were a few little jars of paint, non toxic even, with a small brush.

Re: Hoppin' down the bunny trail....
Smart girl! It seemed that Gwen remembered what Epiphany had told her when it came to leaving messages or any items for her: Don't leave it at the Door. Especially in this case when what was going to be left involved candy. The Door would have taken that without a second thought and not a single word would have been spoken.
Anyway!
When the note with Epiphany's name hit the desk a funny thing happened. It wasn't anything that anyone could see, but the mystic magic users of the Inn may feel a trickle in the air and if this trickle had a sound it would be that of bells. This trickle and sound moved through the Inn to the Door where it spread over the wood. Epiphany had been painting in her room when the literal ringing in her ears caused a mis-stroke of her brush, luckily the damage was salvageable. "Oh! I . . . have a message! But..the only one who knows this way to reach me is... OH!" The realization hit her hard and she quickly put down her brush and wiped her paint-colored hands on her smock before rushing out of her room. Since she was painting Epiphany was dressed in wide-legged painters jeans...and a tube top. Her mid-drift was covered by the rainbow stripped smock she wore and her hair was pulled into a pony-tail.
The clunky work boots on her feet beat hard on the wooden floor as she left out of her room and ran down the hall - anyone with ears could hear the clamor she made. Why hide? It was even possible that Gwen could hear Epiphany from all the way at the bar. Epiphany grabbed the rails of the steps and pushed off as she jumped down the last three steps - any higher and she would have risked hitting her head on the ceiling. As it was, Epiphany didn't have the most graceful of landings. Knees were bent as she hit the ground with a loud *thud* and a quick tuck-and roll prevented her from simply falling over. However, she did roll into the back of the front desk - good thing no one was there - and the basket teetered before it fell and landed next to her. If anyone looked into the hall they wouldn't see anything - she was behind the desk on the floor.
"From the Easter Bunny." She chuckled and pushed up to her knees and crawled around to the front to take a peek around. That was when she saw Gwen - or Gwen's back. She knew it was her because who else would dress up? Besides, the handwriting had been Gwen's.
Epiphany continued to crawl upon the ground, sneaking - she thought - into the bar area. Once she was close enough she sprang to her feet and with a shout of "Bunny!" she leaped at Gwen with all intentions of pouncing the poor girl.

Re: Hoppin' down the bunny trail....
It was never known when Leo was in his room or not. When he arrived and when he left many times he did not do so through the traditional means. A man of strange coming and goings, that he was. But he knew when there was a package left at his door and this happened to be a time he was in. Newly arrived not long ago.
He had not been in the Inn since the last time he had met up with Gaitto and he had to leave suddenly then. It was his hope that she was not to awefully upset at him for the leaving. Before he was answering his door he cleaned his hands and changed his shirt as he was in need to remove grit and other things from his attire. When it was that he opened the door he saw what was left the worry that Gaitto was upset terribly at him left. Time was taken to admire the work that went into the making of the chocolate and he would have to find the time to thank her. But what was that noise going on at the below levels?
True that he did not hear with the clarity of others but he heard the hurried stomping of boots and the thought came to him to see what was going on. Many a thing could have happened since he was last here.
The wanting to find out is how he ended up in the position to see the two girls in their position.
Leo would lean against the frame of the entryway and laughed as he watched them. Unless someone had been hurt. Then he would not find it funny.

Re: Hoppin' down the bunny trail....
Oh yes, that was something that she was not forgetting, especially not after Christmas. She had thought about getting the Door its own, but well, that fell through because she had a feeling that the Door was still miffed at her, and she did not want to take chances of rubbing her presence into the Doors nose.
She heard the shoes of the clunk clunk clunk, though it did not give to much away, that could be anyone. She would lift up her juice and take another sip from it. She really was thinking about exploring other fruit juices, because they tended to taste rather well. It would be then, with that thought that she heard Epiphanys voice, the single word, had her turning on the stool. So when her sister did pounce on her, she started to slip backwards against the bar, but that was all that had happened. Oddly, the stilettos saved her and Epiphany by plunging down and hooking themselves into the open step at the bottom of the stool. Her back went against the bar, though that wasnt a bad thing, it didnt really hurt. And she would giggle and hug Epiphany. Peter Pip! Happy Easter! Then she would relax her hold on Pip, and grin. You know, its not Christmas, your not suppose to sit on the Easter Bunnys lap, and tell her what you want for Easter. Her shoes were made of good quality, otherwise if anyone had an experience with stilettos they would know that the heel would of just snapped off.
It was that laugh, of course, she probably would of spotted him, even if he hadnt laughed. She did not release Epiphany right away, unless Pip was trying to get up, she didnt want her to fall off of her, that wouldnt be a good sister. But she let out a happy little squeal. Leo! Youre here! The girl was rather glad to see him, she had worried just a bit, that something bad had happened to him. Not that she wanted anything bad to happen to him, but she thought it might of, and she hadnt been there to try to help him.
As it was, Leo was rather lucky that Gwen was wrapped up in a Pip and bar sandwich, for the moment, or she probably would of pounced at him, just as Pip had pounced at her! Happy pounces were the best kind of pounces, or so she thought.

Re: Hoppin' down the bunny trail....
Her target had been obtained and fortunately they both remained upright! Epiphany was hugging a full sized Playboy looking bunny so there was no surprised that her hand reached around to get a good handful of tail. That white, fluffy and delightfully pleasing to the touch, tail. That would be all she grabbed because unlike some people she's met, Epiphany most certainly did not swing that way. Still, she didn't let go of her sister but only squeezed her a bit more. The hugging was slightly out of the ordinary for Epiphany as she wasn't much of a hugger, but she felt the need to hold on to her sister good and tight for just a little while and all through the words Gwen was saying.
"The Easter bunny brings wonderful treats and is pretty tasty herself." She even started to growl playfully and made it look like she was going to bite her on the neck and shoulder. However, before she got the chance she heard laughter from behind and a happy squeal from Gwen.
Leo? Here? Epiphany turned her head to see and, sure enough, he was there. "Hi Leo." Gwen's hold on her had loosened and Epiphany thought it would be best if she did the same thing, it wouldn't do for the guy to get any ideas about the two of them. As she removed her hand she tipped on of Gwen's bunny ears with a few fingers. "Doesn't she look cute? Come here to collect?"
Collect what? Honestly Epiphany wasn't sure, but it was what came out of her mouth.
Re: Hoppin' down the bunny trail....
Leo was under the impression that he had missed something, Gaitto was here giving things out that needed collecting? Was he suppose to bring the basket that he had received back for an exchange for something else? When he was asked the questions by Epiphany the Spaniard had his laugh still as he left the wall to aprroach closer to the two of them. Arms were outspread as he neared and first he would greet Gaitto with an embrace and a kiss upon each cheek if she were not one to move away. After he would do the same to Epiphany but there was the tiniest bit of difference from one to the other.
"I think that I am missing something for I have stopped by to apologize for the acts of vanishing that I am known for and to thank the bunny for what was left at my door." A sweet tooth he did have a bit of and it would be sure that he would enjoy the treat at another time.
"I was on my way out," he motioned to the door, "When I saw her here and wanted to see her in person."

At Epiphany's words, she let out a giggle. Epiphany was the best sister ever! Not that Gwen had ever had a sister, but that was her thought! And she was sticking to it! Yes, that actually was her thought, when Epiphany did say what she did and when she made like she was going to eat Gwen up. Whereas Epiphany wasn't the hugging sort, Gwen pretty much blossomed under hugs, and attention like that. And she also had the worse habit of hugging people, when they weren't ready for it, thankfully nothing bad had happened to her because of it.
Gwen herself was wondering what Leo was suppose to collect. Lids blinked not once but twice, as she spoke up, "Collect what?"
When Leo greeted them, Gwen wasn't moving away, he was still her Hero. And maybe she had something of a crush on her hero, just maybe. She was still the sort of girl that had crushes on boys. Harmless really. She waited until Leo greeted Epiphany before speaking. "It's okay Leo! I know that you get called away, often. And the bunny says your very welcome!" She wasn't going to tell him that she was worried that something bad had happened to him, because he had not been around for a while. She didn't want him worrying that she was worrying about him! See how thoughtful she could be! She just...smiled.

Re: Hoppin' down the bunny trail....
Epiphany was doing the 'back away inconspicuously' thing by using that hug from Leo as an excuse to rock on her heels - a motion that resulted in her moving a few inches to away from them. Far be it for her to get in the way of a guy and a girl! If he were her guy and a different girl then it would be a different story.
Then came the question of what it was that Leo was suppose to collect. Now, she thought that maybe.. maybe her sister might have been a bit confused but Leo too? Epiphany wasn't all too good with subtleties and it was only made worst when the things she was implying went over the heads of the people it was directed too. This too was cause for her slowly backing away .
"Collect. You know." She grinned and motioned a hand between Gwen and Leo. "Someone's got to collect the white chocolate bunny." What's her luck that even that wouldn't be understood? So she added, "I had a nibble. She taste pretty good to me."
Didn't' that just say it all? Epiphany held her arms out wide and stretched elaborately, flexing her fingers and trying to not feel entirely awkward at the moment. Maybe she should go. "Well!" She said with a slight cough. "There's painting to be done. Gwen, you and i should have a pow-wow soon. After your done Easter-ing"
Re: Hoppin' down the bunny trail....
The meaning of the collection term was not one that was lost on Leo. If she was meaning what he thought she meant then he was understanding her loud and clear, no need for the nibble needed. This put the man in a bit of a spot, did it not, especially if the meaning of it was known to Gaitto.
The Epiphany was moving in one direction and Leo took a step in the other, moving a bit closer to Gaitto and giving a shake of his finger between the two of them. It was a gesture that was in good humor with a smile on this face. Partially teasing. "The things that women do to each other. It makes the mind to wander." The same finger he had been shaking he now used to tap the side of his head.
There was an old saying about females but he was not under the thought that it would be applying to these two. At least not one of them. "Gaitto. Gwendolyn. Let me thank you for the blessed thought that you had to think of me and let me give to you something in return."
Leo was not an extravagant man but he thought that he could do something. It was not right for a female to destoy gifts on a guy and for her to get nothing in return. To stop the protest of 'you don't have to' which he has come to known as a common saying of the females in this realm, he reached to his pocket and pulled out a business card. He was careful of this to not show much of the back of his hand. When he presented the card it was with his palm up. It had "Fabrications by Design" on it and the address to the shop in town.
"Take this and tell the one who greets you that Leo sent you."

Now, she did not have a clue what Epiphany was talking about, so that was probably best for all involved. The fact that she did not turn beet red, would probably be a good inclination of that. When Epiphany was moving her hand between the two of them, as if giving Leo a hint, Gwendolyn was looking else where. Or rather higher, she was looking at Leo, but not at Epiphany's hand length.
When Leo said his words with the finger wagging, Gwendolyn blinked a moment. "Women do odd things to each other?" Seeing the first part went over her head this part did as well. And the fact being that he was saying it when it was just her and Epiphany, well, she didn't think Pip would do anything odd to her.
She then turned to Epiphany, a big smile formed over her lips, "I look forward to that Epiphany." She did she thought that the two of them would have a fun pow-wow. Though what trouble Pip could get her into would be interesting.
Attention shifted back to Leo. Gwen was not the sort of female to say you don't have to, because she figured people did things because they wanted to, like she did. She didn't do things she didn't want to do, so her taking gifts to people was a selfish gesture, she liked giving people things. She wouldn't notice that he was careful about the back of his hand not being shown. Instead when he held the card out, she would take it, fingertips just brushing against his hand, the contact so light that he wouldn't feel any odd warmth. Once the card was in her possession she looked at the card, a bob of her head. "Thank you Leo! I will be sure to do that." She flashed him another smile, and went to put the card in her pocket. Only thing was she did not have a pocket for the card. A thoughtful look before the business card he handed her found its way down the top of her bunny costume, tucked up inside there. A corner of the card peeking out. A small sheepish look to Leo. "I don't have any pockets. But I don't think I will loose it this way." She didn't want to loose his business card, and not only because he told her to go there and say that he sent her.

Re: Hoppin' down the bunny trail....
Well now, at least someone got what she was saying, though now she wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not. It may have been but right now... it was threatening to make her feel a bit on the side of nervous. That's right, this girl could dish stuff out - as long as no one got it. When they did it turned the banter to a different game and she didn't think she was capable of keeping up with all the moves. Especially when one of the players put the card down the front of their shirt.
Part of her said: Alright Gwen, score one for the slick move; while the other side said: I can't watch. Watch she did. There was nothing wrong with one female looking at another in this case. Not at all.
It appeared that Gwen and Leo had things pretty much handled so there was no more need for her being here now was it? Besides, she had already said she would see her sister later anyway. So Epiphany gave a type of wave to the pair and inched away more noticibly. "Okay. Um.. Yeah. Been fun. Nice to see you again, Leo. Gwen, you know where I am so.. Imma go." A nice grin and then she skipped once and headed out, back up to her room.
Re: Hoppin' down the bunny trail....
Epiphany was leaving the poor man alone with his Gaitto. It was his hope that nothing to important was said after the one before him had put the card down the front of her attire because he didn't see or hear much of anything else. He did not know what she expected - for her to hold it in her hand he supposed or slip it on the inside of her shoe - but he did not think that she would put it there. He was a man who observed things as it was a part of his occupation and as such he watched her put the card away.
First he had watched casually like always with his eyes following even up to where the card was placed. That was when he realized what he was looking at. Her breast. "Oh!" Suddenly pulling his eyes away with the aid of his feet turning him in the direction of the side facing a window. How conveniently convenient that direction was for it enabled him to see how the sky was turning. "Mira la hora." He clapped his hands and rubbed them together for a couple passes.
"Look at the time. I breast be - best be going." Leo was not a prude man but he was not trying to add to the ideas already in his head. He did say earlier that he was on his way out so here he was hoping that she didn't think he was running from her because she had done something inappropriate.
"But please, use the card. I would like to see you there." A smile to cover awkwardness usually worked but in the sociable area of this type he wasn't in much practice.

Where else was she suppose to put the card? Her shoes? It would of slipped right out of them! Then it would be lost, and she wouldn't be able to visit the shop. That wouldn't of been good. She turned to smile to Epiphany as she was making her exit. Knowing that Pip wasn't one for hugs, saved her. She waved instead. "I will come see you later!" She was going to, well okay so she wouldn't exactly go to Pip's room, but she would make sure to contact her the same way again soon. She loved having Epiphany near.
Thanks to Epiphany's exit, she had not even noticed that Leo had been following the business cards travels, if she had noticed, who knows what might of came out of her mouth. Maybe nothing at all. But when Leo spoke in a what she came to think of as his native tongue, her head turned back to him. Not that she understood a word he said, the only word she knew what was his nickname for her.
She wouldn't think that Leo was leaving because of her. She knew that her hero was a busy man. He had been a busy man since the first time she had met him, and that wasn't something she expected to change. But she did giggle at his slip of words, maybe the whole thing wasn't caught, like why he would say that word but it was close enough right!
She smiled to Leo, he had said the magic words, 'I would like to see you there.' That in itself pretty much made it a done deal. She walked over to Leo, the few steps that it would take, heels click clicking. Seeing he had a way for a greeting, she would move to wrap her arms around him in a hug, her way of saying bye for now. Pulling back she smiled to Leo. "I hope to see you soon, Leo."

Re: Hoppin' down the bunny trail....
He liked her giggle and laughter when it came for it reminded him of happiness. Not all laughter sounds a person heard were actually joyful and much of the laughter he hears in and around the things that he does is mostly always tainted with a negative feel. A laugh for upcoming revenge, guilty pleasures, to hide a lie, he has heard people laugh for many reasons but he did not hear anything in her laugh like that.
It helped to settle him down a bit from the embarrassing word slip earlier. When he heard her say that she would like to see him there at the shop it pulled forth a smile from his own lips. The shop - and the many things that he did there - was a personal pleasure of his because it was his to run when his Boss was in other endeavors. His Gaitto hugged him and Leo's arms gave a small squeeze to her form in his return and try to sneak in a kiss to the side of her face, right by the eye, before she would pull away.
"Be safe, mi Gaitto," slightly cautioned as he began to move away and to the door. He thought he had done pretty well with himself and holding back the offer to cover her shoulders as that thought was on his mind. Heaven help him if she came to the store dressed like that.

Re: Hoppin' down the bunny trail....
Oh no, anytime that Gwen laughed it would be more of the free happy spirit laughing, none of the dark evil lurking below or just above the surface sort. Sometimes it was good to be around that was it not? Especially, when one had dealings with the other sorts. She did laugh often, which was a good thing.
When she hugged him and he went to kiss the place by her eye on the side of her face, she did not move away from him. Girls did not move or shy away from their heros, did they? Not that she knew of. Instead when she did break the hug, seeing he did embrace her back, she was smiling. It was the sort of smile that touched her eyes, and caused a sparkle in the hazel depths.
Another smile was given to Leo, she would be most careful, because her hero wasnt always around to rescue her, though she had a hunch that if she was ever in very serious trouble, somehow how and someway her hero would be there. The girl may give him too much credit, but it was how she saw things, and until something changed that, well Leo had a bit of a pedestal. You too. She had a feeling that he knew what he was doing, and he knew how to take care of himself, but she thought he should know that she cared right?
And maybe Leo would be lucky and she would not be wanting to wear the bunny costume when she came to see him at the shop. Maybe.
