- + - Because the Tea Leaves Told Her To - + - ((Open!))
It was a most turbulent Tuesday when the tea leaves told her that New Jersey would be in a state of tickled celebration by Friday. When she asked the leaves why, their reply was as clear as her quartz crystals: because the great garden state would no longer have to deal with Zoe Viddy Bourciquot.
Which was her! Zoe was she! So imagine her shock - though really it wasn't absolute shock because Zoe had been reading tea leaves ever since she'd turned twenty and not a single day went by when they weren't very cross and crabby with her, which she found a most curious behavior since they were just leaves. But never say that to them, that they're just leaves, because it only makes them all the more cruel. Which Zoe could understand, because ever since her first trip to Rhy'din seven years ago and her times at the Alliance of the Twelve Moons she'd felt a little incomplete and empty about being 'just', too. Because Zoe was one of a few, a brave, a 'just' human. Just could be a terrible, terrible word when it was your own reflection that you were looking at. Especially when you were someone like Zoe, who's imagination and wishes were as unlimited as the books her eager eyes devoured like a water-deprived desert in the rain.
But speaking of Rhy'din! That was the rest of the tea leaves' message, that it was to Rhy'din she had to go. The reason for the trip? That she wasn't allowed to know. The last time she paid this strange city on this strange planet a visit, by the end of the topsy-turvy terrible day she'd ended up in a jail cell with Epiphany trying to convince the very cross looking criminals there that she was a big scary mastermind - very hard to do when she was barely five foot two! - but that was a story all of its own. So far this time her trip to New Haven was a lot more mundane.
In fact, it was the painful kind of mundane that made a girl hop on one foot saying 'ow ow ow ow' after stubbing their toe on the corner of the coffeetable. Zoe had been sure - so absolutely, heart-stoppingly sure - that when she set foot back in Rhy'din the reason that she was here would immediately jump right out at her and welcome her back. But all that welcomed her back were just the facts. Like the fact that she had to find a place to stay. And the fact that said place to stay wanted a week's worth of money down before they would even hand her a key. And the fact that said week's worth of money had made her wallet emptier than a candy jar at a kindergarten classroom. Librarians, even ones that were Seers that lived with their mothers in New Jersey like this one had for the past few years, did not make a lot of money. So if Zoe wanted to stay here for more than a week, she would have to get a job faster than the last time the Moon had been in Pieces.
She didn't worry until the library told her they didn't have any openings. She wasn't fretting until every psychic in the area told her they had their own seeing skills and didn't need her aura crowding their tarot cards thank you very much. She wouldn't let herself give up hope until she finished walking around the whole area block by block. And when she saw the 'Now Hiring' sign in a certain store window, she forced herself to swallow her creeps about coffee beans to stop to submit herself….to Starbucks.
Oh, and one more thing. The definitely odd and unquestionably klutzy blonde that just smacked herself into the door because she should have pushed when instead she pulled? She was dressed exactly like Rainbow Brite. Little star on the cheek, puffy rainbow colored boots, ponytail and all! It was Zoe's most favorite outfit, one that she made herself like she did all her clothes. Between her pint-size, her flat chest and her junk in the trunk that came from eating so many cheese doodles, it was just easier to sew than to shop for her unconventional shape.
How do you like that, Starbucks?! Hopefully enough to wait on this bubbly blonde who was next in line at the counter!

Oh she was in luck! For the Starbucks it self wasn't the one that was going to help her out, oh no, it was the boy behind the counter. He still got nervous around females, unless it was a female that happened to be old enough to be his mom or young enough that no respectable male would cast a glance at her. So after he finished serving the young man infront of the woman, he would pause a moment, almost as if he was hoping and wishing that Titania would come out of the manager's office. She had been back there for what seemed like forever! He was a bit worried for her, the big bosses had even come in.
Eyes glanced towards the hall that lead to the managers office, no help coming from there, he swallowed, audibly. "Um...hello....uh...welcome to Starbucks...How can I help you?" He looked as if the floor opened up he woudln't be to opposed to it at the moment. Might be a relief.
Coming out from the back, was Titania, oh she had just had a very interesting meeting. She could of squealed with delight! It had not been a bad meeting at all, indeed it was a rather good meeting, a positive meeting for her. She would hold that in for a bit longer though, she would indeed. Now it was for the best, because the big wigs had stepped out, giving her a small wave, one even lifted thier hand to thier head in a small salute, walking out. And out with them was the current manager, or rather the old manager of this very particular Starbucks.
She came to stand next to the young man, whom had just been looking for her, casting a smile to the woman in line. Oh she knew how he got with girls, he would have to get over that eventually. Maybe if people quit coming to his rescue?

Well if the guy behind the counter wasn't good with speechifying, boy was he ever in luck! Zoe could talk and would talk enough for the both of them, heck she'd talk enough for an imaginary third and fourth person if he gave her a chance. While Zoe babbled on and on and on and on when it was a normal day, holy heck and toast when she was feeling nervous people with tired ears needed to watch out! And Zoe was nervous now. So nervous that even though she promised herself she wouldn't she was already ringing her hands as if they were soaking wet dish rags. Nervous because she just had to get this job, she just had to!
"Hi! I'm Zoe, Zoe Viddy Bourciquot, it's very nice to meet you, I used to live here a very long time ago, years ago - well I didn't live here here, and I certainly didn't live here in the coffee shop that just wouldn't be sensible would it! I meant not here in New Haven, I lived to the West - or was it the East? The South maybe, but I know it wasn't North, at a place called the Alliance of the Twelve Moons, have you heard of it? Well I helped run it, here and there, but it's closed now and I'm also a very good librarian but all the spots are full up at the library so I can't work there and even all the psychics around here they're…well they're not very welcoming to newcomers, let's put it that way because I really don't like saying anything negative about people even when one of them told me that my aura looks more sickly than the old woman at the nursing home that everyone thought already died…"
Yes. She was Zoe Viddy Bourciquot, the over-excitable klutzy seer who could say entire paragraphs of words all in one breath and all quite sincerely without losing the least bit of steam. And that's exactly what she did with all those words above, and it was only in her tiny pause here that she realized that she had forgotten to get to the point.
This was a realization that she had often.
"Oh, so! What I mean to say is that I haven't exactly worked at a Starbucks before, or anything that's remotely like a Starbucks before, and to tell you the truth I really don't drink coffee because it makes my hands shake and I feel like if I step down too hard on my feet I'll just bounce right up into the ceiling like the gummy bears did in that old cartoon? But I do like tea, I have a very long relationship with tea because I read my own tea leaves every day and I could even read yours now if you like - or yours!" Zoe brightly acknowledged the woman who'd walked up to the counter next to the boy at the register and kept on going without skipping her beat, " - if it would help show you that I have a very good relationship with tea. Because I need a job, I very very very much need a job. Because my tea leaves on Tuesday told me I had to come back here to Rhy'din but I could only afford to pay for a room through next Friday…"
Even though Zoe finally trailed off here, her wringing hands said volumes. She was very scared, very very scared, that if they didn't hire her here she'd have to pick her things up again and go back home to her Mother and New Jersey.

Oh and that boy was not good at that at all! He was open foot insert mouth sort! The sort that sometimes said things that they really did not know why they popped out but couldn’t help it…and couldn’t take them back. So when the girl started going on and on and well on about working there, his jaw dropped open, he couldn’t excuse himself, nor explain even at the moment that he wasn’t the one she should be talking to. Oh no, he just sat there, rather stood there, arms hanging limply at his sides. Until she took a breath, it was then that he spoke, “I can get you a application, but I…I can’t give you the job. I can’t give you anything, not really…well…I did get some tip money.” He looked helpless.
Now, Titania had caught part of the whole spiel that was coming from the colorful girl. Oh and she was colorful, not that she had anything against colorful people, she liked colors herself. But the boy was almost wringing his hands with want to help, so Titania smoothly inserted. “Well, the person you would want to speak with is, me!” She would of smiled, she might of even beamed, but instead she started to cry. Tears, were falling from those chocolate depths, rolling down her cheeks. Sniffle. “I just got promoted right before…” hic-cup “you came in. Perhaps we should go fill out…” She lifted her hand to bat away the tears, not happy tears but tears of a deep painful sorrow. “an application, and if you want we can do a interview at the same time?” Sniffle. She kept on as if nothing was wrong, you know the sort of person whom even if they felt as if their world was over, and EVERYONE could see it, but they didn’t want to acknowledge it, sort. Sorrow number one!
She slipped out from behind the counter, bringing with her the clipboard, a pen, and a two sided page application. She would pass it over to the woman. “If you would just fill this out…and then come and find me.” The tears had stopped, for now…
Now, the boy working behind the counter, thought her crying was odd, but he was doing a little jig of happiness. She was his favorite person at work, and the fact that she was now the manager, well, that just plumb tickled him! He had a feeling that things were looking up! The last manager wasn’t so bad…but well…yes!

What the boy said made Zoe laugh, but it wasn't a mean laugh because Zoe didn't really have a mean bone in her body, it was more a laugh like the boy had told a good joke. "Oh no no no gosh no I didn't mean to suggest that I - well your tip money is your tip money you're the one who did things that got you tips not me…and besides! There are plenty of things you could give me, like a smile or a handshake or a compliment on my hair, not that I think you should give me a compliment on my hair, it's just a ponytail after all there isn't anything spectacular about ponytails is there?" Yes. Zoe had actually asked him that question, and maybe he'd be able to tell that she was expecting an answer by the way she cocked her head slightly to the side, watching him and waiting.
Luckily for the boy, the new manager saved the day through the most surefire way to save someone from the likes of Zoe - by distracting her. Zoe was about to say how wonderful it was that she'd found the right person to talk to, but then the girl started crying about it and Zoe's jaw dropped and her eyes went wide. "Oh my gosh! Oh gosh oh holy heck on toast I'm so sorry I didn't mean to make you cry is this not a good time? Because if it's not a good time I could come back a little later it's not like I - oh, I, oh." Zoe took the clipboard and pen that were offered to her and gave Titania a very sheepish, very apologetic smile. "Thank you I'll get started on filling this out right away!" Really she was just glad that the girl had stopped crying. Not only because she hated to see anyone upset, but boy what a horrible first impression to make when she was trying to get a job, making someone cry!
As soon as Zoe found herself a table she sat down and started filling out the two-sided form. One would think that having something like this to do would keep Zoe's lips from moving, but boy would one be wrong about that! The bubbly blonde had a bad habit of moving her lips while she was reading, and sometimes she even murmured the words out loud to herself, a habit she'd started in fifth grade when she first really got interested in books. She thought if she moved her lips to the words, it would help her savor and experience the story they were telling better. In this case the story wasn't a very new one - name, address, previous jobs, humdrum things like that. But her lips were still moving as sure as she was moving the pen over the page to write down her answers!
Maybe Titania would be relieved that what Zoe wrote wasn't nearly as long-winded and verbose when she wrote as when she spoke. She did make sure to further explain her long and advantageous relationship with tea in the 'Is there anything else you'd like to add about yourself?' section.
After filling in her answers and checking all the appropriate boxes, Zoe read over her application twice just to make sure she'd filled in all her answers and checked the appropriate boxes. Once she was sure that it was all done, she ignored the nervous twist and turn of her stomach and stood, bright blue eyes looking for the girl who said she was the new manager.

He looked at the woman, this Zoe she said her name was. He blushed a bit. “I did earn them, but if you need money…because your not going to have a place to live, they would be put to better use with you, then with me.” That was a lot to be said from the young man. Then he looked up again. “Well your hair is in a simple pony tail, I must say that I do like your little star.” He gestured to the one on her cheek. “It’s a very good touch.” He looked down a moment.
When Zoe was speaking to Titania she shook her head. “Oh no, its not you. It’s just so sad that I just got a promotion.” Sniffle. “Please, it’s nothing personal.” She gave a weak little smile to Zoe as she went to fill out the application.
While the girl was filling out the application the boy, as we will call him until he decides to tell us his name, looked over to Titania. “So tell me, is it true? You really are the manager here now?” She would give a bob of her head, “I really am. The big wigs said that they have been paying attention..and that they thought I would do a better job then our previous manager. He’s not very happy, they are taking him far far away.” She nodded, they were afraid if they didn’t he would come back and make problems, and they weren’t having that. They owned the other man’s soul…she had refused to give them that…not saying that they wouldn’t try again. It was going to take more then getting a manager position to get her to sell her soul and she told them as much, in not so many words.
Glancing over she would notice how the girl was when she filled out the application. Now she had already made up her mind on if she was going to hire the girl or not, but she wasn’t about to say anything out loud. And when she stood up, Titania would pat the boy on his shoulder and walk over to that table. “All set?” She would ask, if Zoe handed her the application she would let her chocolate gaze flicker over the answers on the paper. “When would you like to set up your interview? If you want we can go do it right now, or if you want to sleep on it…” She was rather easy going. She would have to do a interview though!

Re: - + - Because the Tea Leaves Told Her To - + - ((Open!))
The boy was lucky that Zoe had been distracted by Titania and the application, or else his comment about her star would have set her off on a very long excited ramble about Rainbow Brite, making her own clothes, and gosh knows what else when she got to talking.
When the manager asked Zoe if she was ready, Zoe took a deep breath and held out the clipboard. "Yes. No!" She changed her mind very suddenly, pulling the clipboard back and looking wildly over the answers just to make sure for the fifth time that she filled everything in. "Yes." She decided again, and this time Titania took the clipboard with pen from her before Zoe had a chance to change her mind again.
While Titania looked over her application, Zoe busied herself with ringing her hands and chewing on her lower lip as she looked around the coffee shop trying to figure out what it would be like to work here. The lip chewing especially was a terrible habit, and since she'd come to Rhy'din her nerves had chewed them sore and achy! "The coffee smell is really strong in here, isn't it?" The thought popped out of her mind and off her tongue before she thought twice.
When she did think twice, she looked horrified with herself. "Not that that's bad! There were kings, South American kings, coffee was the highest delicacy in their court they worshipped it practically, I read that somewhere…or did my History teacher tell me that? I may have seen it on television, yes yes I think that was it my mother she really likes watching the History channel, and the Discovery channel and the Travel channel, well any channel really that shows her about life very far away and I always tell that if she wants to see the world she really really should try and leave New Jersey once in a while but she's a lawyer and very stubborn and says, 'Why should I spend the time and money when I can see all of it right here?' Not to mention she doesn't think this planet exists. You know, Rhy'din? When I got home after being gone for years and years and she asked me where I was I tried to be honest, I know it's wrong to lie to your parents you see even though I bet sometimes they want you to, and boy did my mother think I was lying to her when I said I was on another planet…"
All those words, all that information, all in practically one breath and the interview hadn't even started yet!
But it was about to! Because Zoe was waving the idea of sleeping on it away. "Oh no no right now is best I don't know what sleeping would do, I've never dreamed about a Starbucks before and I don't think you and I have met in a past life, if we had I'd be getting that tingling feeling on the back of my neck, the kind where all the hairs stand back up and sometimes you feel a chill? I haven't had that, so I don't think I'd dream about you either for any reason unless something unfortunate is going to happen to you soon, which I hope it doesn't boy do I hate dreaming about things like that especially about people I don't know because how am I supposed to find them and warn them if I don't know who they are, but at least I'd know where to find you!" Wasn't that comforting?
The bubbly Seer gave Titania a grandly sheepish smile before she added, just in case it wasn't clear. "So, I'm ready." The clapped her hands together and rocked back and forth on her heels as if to tell herself 'here we go'!
I may have seen it on television, yes yes I think that was it my mother she really likes watching the History channel, and the Discovery channel and the Travel channel, well any channel really that shows her about life very far away and I always tell that if she wants to see the world she really really should try and leave New Jersey once in a while but she's a lawyer and very stubborn and says, 'Why should I spend the time and money when I can see all of it right here?' Oh yes, that boy was lucky indeed, because a girl talking to him, for long periods of time would be a big distraction. And he needed to focus. Yes focus upon the other customers inside of the Starbucks. Just because his friend was promoted, which made her oddly sad, when he thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread, didn't mean he could become mr. slacker. No sirree!
She almost laughed, it wasn't at the girl, Zoe, persay it was just the action. She had never seen a more talkative, slightly unsure of herself girl in her life. And her life had been full of many characters.
A nod of her head, for the coffee smell was rather strong, but she did not seem to smell it anymore. "After you work here a while, the normal scents you don't even smell anymore. Just the holiday specials, those your nose doesn't quite have enough time to get used too." Wasn't that the truth, the St. Patty's day special was over, and corporate was late shipping the Easter Specials, so she wondered what they were going to do. See, oh heck, it was her problem now! It hadn't been but now..now it was. Adding a thing to her check list, interview then call and find out what they are going to do about the late shipment! She could only hope that it would arrive before Easter itself. Could you imagine not having the cute Eastery drinks and cookies...and the plastic chicks and bunnie heads for the cupcakes. Not to forget the jelly beans, for the Easter basket cupcakes! And she had thought to run to the store and grab some, but no they wanted a special jelly bean. That's what the old manager had told her atleast.
She took that all in, taking a breath. "Yes, well I hope you never dream of me, but it is reassuring that you know where to find me." Oh boy, she was having a few doubts, yet, her first impression usually won out. She thought about it a moment, "I suppose we should go into the office. Now it was just stripped clean, and I haven't had time to do anything, so please don't be put off by the bareness." She had the clipboard with application in hand, and she would lead the way, down past the break room, past the bathrooms to the office at the end of the hall, the opposite door from the office door was the store room door. But she could find out all that later on. Opening the door she would gesture, "Please do come in...and have a seat." The office itself was bare just as she said. A L shape desk sat with a computer and a few office supplies. The desk itself had drawers filled with papers she was going to need to go through, organize. Oh she had gotten a rather large job. If she let herself think about it, it might overwhelm her, so she didn't instead she focused on Zoe.
Taking a seat behind the desk and gesturing for the rainbow brite dressed woman to take the other seat. She skimmed the application a moment before looking to Zoe. "I really have two important questions. Can you handle being around coffee, we have cheat sheets to help you out if you don't know what goes where. And unfortunatly if you work here you have to wear the uniform. Is that going to be a problem?" Maybe she just wanted the girl to work there in case she did pop up in one of her dreams! Give the girl a job and she shouldn't have it out for her, well she might, but you know!

Look at that, Zoe was listening for a change. As the manager explained the nuances of what an employee smelled and what they didn't, Zoe's mouth formed into the perfect 'O' shape. Coffee was something she didn't know very much about, besides the fact that it came in a bean and a person had to brew it instead of steep it like tea. And because she didn't know much about it…well she didn't have very much to say about it!
But then Titania said one of the magic words. Bare. A person only had to look at the colorful girl that was Zoe to know that bare wasn't something that lasted long around her. "Oh I don't mind bareness! But did you need someone to decorate it for you? I can do that. I could decorate this whole place if you wanted me to! And not just normal decorations, you know, I've read a lot of books about Feng Shui, and color therapy, and of course there are crystals and mandalas and patterns and all sorts of things that can make a space operate on a better vibration, and what vibration you want the space to operate on really depends on your goal which I'd think for a place like this was for people to be relaxed, happy and enjoying themselves so that they stay longer and buy more and come back again to visit! Wow this is bare, gosh…" That little whoopsie popped right off her lips as she walked behind Titania into the office.
Zoe tried to make up for it by giving a sheepish little grimace and plunking her big bottom into the first empty seat she spied. She pressed her knees tightly against one another. Drawing her rainbow booted feet underneath the chair, she drew her shoulders in and folded her hands into her lap, as if she was willing herself to not touch anything, knock anything over, or do any of the other clumsy things she was prone to doing entirely by accident. "Oh I can handle being around coffee, and I'm willing to learn, and I'm a very fast learner, a fast reader too and I bet there are loads of books about coffee in the library I promise that if I was hired I'd go right back to them and tell them I didn't need a job after all and what I needed were books that would help me at my job I did have, here…but…."
Here Zoe paused, which was rare. During the pause she swallowed, and she shifted in her seat with a doubtful look on her face that told the tale about the internal debate she was currently having. She knew she shouldn't say this, but she was an honest person, and she just couldn't bear knowing that if she was hired she was only hired because she didn't tell the truth, so…out the truth came. "It would be a problem. I mean, it could be. You see, well, it really depends on what the uniform is, or what the uniform can be, because….because I can't wear pants!" She forced herself to say the words and the truth shot out in a blurted exclamation, as Zoe's cheeks got hotter and hotter.
And now that she was just as embarrassed as the day is long, the words that came next tumbled out her lips so fast you'd think her tongue was on fire! "I know that sounds so very strange and I don't mean to cause problems but it's very true, I haven't worn a single pair of pants since I was in middle school because well you see I'm very," with her hands she made the universal symbol for short, "and then I'm also very," here she made the universal symbol for flat chested, "and as if that wasn't bad enough I've got a very big…" hands went around back of her to make the universal symbol for gigantic booty. Well, gigantic booty for her pint-size, anyway, she was just five feet tall. "So it's impossible to buy clothes because nothing seems to fit me right, so I make everything myself like this outfit here, I made this for me and I would even take a uniform and cut it up and make a dress out of it so that I wasn't using a stitch more fabric than the uniform has so that I'd still be wearing a uniform technically if that's what it takes to work here, I'd make you a uniform even and everyone here I don't mind sewing clothes for other people I'd be so happy to do it if you please, please just hire me because I just can't go back to New Jersey, I just can't, the tea leaves would never let me live it down if I had to!"
While the zany little blonde didn't fall down to her knees at Titania's mercy, she was leaning forward and clasping the edge of the woman's desk with great, great, super pleading earnest. Only puppies had eyes that begged bigger and more sincerely than the two blue eyes of Zoe Viddy Bourciquot.

That was a lot to take in. A very big lot! And so she stayed quiet. Hopefully the girl wouldn't take it wrong. She would normally be glad for the offers that she was being given. Normally she wasn't a cursed girl. But she was, and that had that effect on her. It wasn't the words about the office being bare that caused the water works to start again. It was the offer of help. And the offer of sewing clothes, no one had ever offered to make her clothes before, let alone a whole store of peoples clothing. As in for the employees. Tears, once more were falling. A sniffle as her hand lifted to wipe at her face. "That is so sweet. I don't think I have ever heard of anyone say anything that sweet before. And thoughtful."
Ahem, attempting to pull herself together she would start in the begining. Or the middle, the middle was good. "Well, as for the decorating, let me get used to things first? And then perhaps I will take you up on the offer. For the office. As of now all Starbucks have to look the way that corporate wants them. Though if you wanted to submit some ideas for it, I could pass them on." She didn't see why she couldn't turn it in, and who knew what would happen right?
Now the clothing issue. "Well, you don't have to wear pants." She shook her head, "You would have to make the clothing, so it looked like the uniform though, skirts are fine." They really were. The colors had to be the same, and rather uniform to the others, but other then that there wasn't a problem. She wiped at the tears again, if they would stop she might even smile.
She took a deep breath, a part of her wondering if this was going to be a smart idea or a bad on on her part. "Go ahead and go to the Library and get some books on coffee..." She was hiring the girl, right there, and she wanted to smile. But instead she started to cry, "Your hired. Just need a few papers signed...and when are you available to start?" She sniffed again. As she reached into the bottom drawer of the desk, where a bunch of files were, going through the folder, until she pulled out a new hire packet. This was the super duper new hire packet for the employee that had no clue about what was expected of them, and the different drinks that they offered.

Did the manager just say….?
Zoe was so excited that she felt like her whole body was about to pop from the inside out like a corn kernel under a heat lamp! She heard what Titania said to her, every wonderful wonderful bit of it, but those words filled her up with such joy and relief and gratitude that her lips were sputtering nothing more than nonsense. "Imma - did - I - buh - " came off the bubbly blonde's tongue as she bounced up and down in the chair like she was on her own personal bumpy ride.
"I got the job?!" She finally managed to spit the question out with awestruck wonder, and then a shriek came from her that was so loud and thrilled that the customers in the other room would probably think someone in the office had just won the lottery. That is until Zoe sprung out of her chair and jumped back and forth from foot to foot like she was hopping on hot coals Zoe shrieking her victory at the top of her lungs, "I got the jo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-b!!!" Zoe was about to fling herself at Titania to show her gratitude - but that's when she noticed the tears.
It made her gasp. This was the second time she made this manager cry, why was that?! Then again it wasn't the first time that Zoe had made someone cry, oh no sir no. But usually when people burst into tears in front of her it was because she'd just told their fortune or accidentally spilled something on them or stepped on their foot. "Oh no! No no no don't cry it's okay don't worry I can smart tomorrow and I learn very very fast and I read very very fast too so I'll read all of this packet tonight," said as Zoe accepted the extra big Starbucks For New Employee Dummies and clutched it to her, "the whole thing and then I'm going to go right to the library after I draw up the designs - No. No I'll go to the library first and I'll get books and I'll read about coffee first, yes, yes that's best because it will help with knowing what's the best feng shui for here and which crystals and colors for the design proposals and the bonus is that I'll know more about coffee for starting tomorrow like why people don't like lemon in their coffee only their tea!" Lemon in coffee? Ohhhh boy.
"And I can make clothes that will work for uniforms oh you bet I can I already have a whole bunch of - OH!" Titania was blessedly spared from hearing about Zoe's Starbuck's fashion concepts as the blonde just remembered, "Sign! You wanted me to sign some things I'll do that right now before I run back to the library, I think they close soon you know which is so odd to have a place that closes early here because don't they realize that vampires are eager readers too?" Only Zoe would worry about vampires being able to check out books. She had a heart as big as the sun was bright, and a mouth that never stopped moving even as she shifted through the papers looking for places that told her to put her signature. When she signed on those lines it was with her full name - Zoe Viddy Bourciquot.
"There!" She beamed as she dotted the last two i's and crossed the final t, before holding the signed papers out to Titania. "Thank you so very very much, miss, thank you. You won't regret this, I promise you won't!"
Hopefully it was a promise that this over-energized Seer could keep.

Re: - + - Because the Tea Leaves Told Her To - + - ((Open!))
Why did she feel like she just made a mistake?
It could turn out to be a happy mistake right? Or not a mistake at all! Besides it was her first hire...so that worked. The girl had energy and pep, and bounce, and way way way to many ideas in that head of hers. Not that that was a bad thing, but she hoped that the girl would know that you had to get the customers in and out of the lines, when it was busy. When it was slow, as long as everyone was serviced in a reasonable time, she didn't care, if they wished to engage in conversations, or even read the tea leaves.
She nodded slowly at the bouncing bubbly girl. "You have the job." She wasn't crying now, but it took a lot, because the girls happiness was running over her cup, of happy joy. But she felt bad enough, the girl was already probably wondering if her new manager cried at the drop of a hat. And well, normally there would be laughter, and joy and much happiness, but that was not to be. And she did not know if she was allowed to speak of the curse, or if it might make it worse, so she did not.
She was watching as the girl changed gears about a dozen times, and then the papers were signed. She would give a nod of her head, "Yes yes, I don't want to keep you. I will see you tomorrow then." And then she was well...once more speechless. This was going to be rather interesting. But hey everyone deserved a shot right? She couldn't just let this girl go out, and try to find a job elsewhere, when she had been down on her luck, besides this could be the bst thing she's ever done.
She would take the papers that were signed, and begin a new folder with the girls name for the employee records.
