He was laughing too hard to get Kjay off of him. So he threw his hands up to show that he surrendered. "Ok, ok, ok, I give." He waited until Kjay got off of him before he rolled to get up off the floor. But then, just like a marathon runner, he darted from that knelt down position right at Casie. He rose slightly as he approached her and his shoulder made gentle contact with her lower abdomen as he wrapped his arms around her legs and lifted. The end result, she was thrown over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. "Ha, I've got you now." He began to turn in circles, slowly.

She was still laughing as she watched Kjay and Ivan.

"That's my good boy"

She was distracted and still laughing as Ivan came charging at her. She didn't have time to sidestep. It would have been funny to see him end up headfirst into the fireplace.

Instead of Ivan in the fireplace we got Cas thrown around like a sack of potatoes. She began beating on his back with her fists.

"Put me down put me down."

One large hand smacked against her hind end as he laughed ad continued to spin her. "I. Don't. Want. To." He was laughing and starting to get a little dizzy. He looked to see what Kjay was doing and that was when he knew he was going down. He managed to stumble to the couch and pull her up before he fell back. Plopping down on the couch, she landed in his lap. He smiled at her, all three of her.

Cas laughed as he smacked her in the backside.

"But I'm getting dizzy."

She was still laughing as they both tumbled back into the couch her landing in his lap.

She took a moment to regain her bearings. She wasn't seeing three of him but she was dizzy.

She kissed his cheek and then stood up.

As she was moving to get up, he could see which one of the three was really her. Of course, that was because he was back down to seeing only one. So it was that one he tickled. After all, it was fun having her in his lap.

She started to get up but was pulled back into his lap and tickled?

She was laughing all over again. She tried to tickle Ivan back.

Now it was Kjay's turn to stay out of it, he went to the fireplace and laid down on the rug.

After a few minutes of tickling her, just long enough for her to notice that he wasn't ticklish, at least not where she was tickling, eh let her up. "Well, that was fun." He tried to catch his breath from all the laughing. "Should we get those pictures hung? Which wall did you like better?" He was ready to get some work done ... maybe.

She was squirming in his lap the whole time he was tickling her. She frowned as she figured out he was not ticklish. When he let her go she stood up and straightened her clothes.

"Above the fireplace."

It was a simple answer to a simple question.

Ivan chuckled at her change in demeanor. "Yes ma'am miss Casandra." And he jumped up to start hanging the pictures. He had grabbed a hammer on his way out of the room. It had been set down on a nearby table when he first started to play with Kjay. So he retrieved it before he started to hang the first picture. His turn to show off his assets?

Cas laughed. She watched him as he hung the pictures. She had forgotten how good he looked from behind. She watched as his arm muscles flexed as he hammered the nails into the wall.

"Thank you Ivan."

She continued with small conversation while he hung them on the wall.

As he was hanging the pictures he thought he could feel her eyes on him. But he figured it was his imagination. After all, she was who she was and he was who he was. Never the two shall meet in in the middle. He was a servant and she was a lady of the house, and forever it would be. But he didn't care. She would always be his buddy at least.

Once the pictures were hung he walked over to sit with her on the couch for a bit. "Anything else M'Lady?" He winked at her as he leaned back on the couch and used the bottom of his T-shirt to wipe the sweat from his brow from all the playing they had done. He didn't think she would be offended by a view of his abs.

She was in a good mood right now, she had a nice view and things were going better than she had hoped for. She now knew she had made the right decision.

She smiled when he sat down beside her.

"Nothing unless you want to keep me company for a bit."

Good thing that she had finished talking because he was using his shirt to whip the sweat, he had really nice abs.

He smiled as he pulled his shirt back down into it's proper place. "I do believe I can do that. You wanna hang out here, or go knock back a few at the bar?" He figured they could hang out, have a couple drinks, then the kids would be getting home so she would want to spend some time with them.

"How about we hang out here, for now, as for knocking back a few we can do that too, after I get the twins to bed."

Ivan nodded. "That works too. Um, any chance you have some lemonade or something?" He got up and headed to her kitchenette to check the fridge. He was perfectly content to hang out up in her room, but he was thirsty.

"I think there is some kool-aid in there, help yourself."

She laughed, he was already on his way to the kitchen to get some.

"Can you get me a glass as well?"

She had turned to watch him as he moved about her kitchen area.

"The glasses are in the cabinet above the sink to the right."

He reached up and pulled down two glasses. He got into the fridge and pulled out the pitcher of Kool-Aid and set it down. In the freezer he retrieved an ice tray and broke the ice free. He put a few cubes in each glass then covered them in the grape drink. Then he put the stuff back and took her a glass when he returned with his. "So hot stuff, whatcha been up to lately?" Yep, it was time for some Kool-Aid and small talk.

She waited for him to come back over to her on the couch.

"A lot of thinking."

She took the glass and then took a sip of the liquid inside. It was nice and cold.

"Thank you."

He chuckled. "Aha, so you do think about me when I'm gone!" He laughed. "No, what's going on sweety?" He braced himself in case he had just cued the water works.

She smiled at him sadly and looked down at her glass. She took another drink and then put her glass on the table. Hands folded in her lap she looked up at him.

"The Marques ended our relationship."

Ok, that he had not been expecting. Missing the kids an thinking about summer. Thinking about how busy the entourage was going to be over the coming months. All these things he was expecting. But that, that caught him off guard. "I'm sorry hon." He didn't want to say too much, he knew better than to do anything that even remotely sounded like a pity party.

She looked at him.

"You know me, it is just my luck, at least he didn't die or disappear."

She took a deep breath.

"He lost his wife two years ago. He is not ready for what I wanted."

He gave her a lopsided grin. "Well, at least he was honest. And by not dying or disappearing, he kinda broke the curse, right?" He was trying to find the silver lining. He had heard Tasha say that she was cursed before. He thought that maybe Cas felt the same way.

Cas did feel the same way, she had thought she was cursed.

"Yes, he was honest, and I am not mad at him, just sad."

She thought a moment.

"You may be right, but it doesn't mater, I just don't think that love is out there for me."

She looked up at him.

"Ivan, I am giving up."

He furrowed his brow. "Sweety, there is someone out there for everyone. My Dad used to say that the reason Eve was made from Adam's rib was because they were made for each other. And if every woman is made from a man's rib than there has to be a rib cage out there that she fits into. That is what men and women search for when they date. They are looking to match the right rib to the right rib cage." He put his arm around her shoulders and pulled her close. "You just haven't found your rib cage yet." He smiled as he kissed her temple.
