She nodded.

"I honestly believe you will try Manny."

She looked around.

"When is everyone suposed to leave the castle?"

Manny looked towards the balcony doors. "Soon I think. Can we offer you a ride somewhere?" He would take her in an empty coach if she wanted to go somewhere. He would take her anywhere.

She smiled.

"Just back to the Inn, I didn't get to spend but ten minutes with my granddaughter."

She looked at him.

"I was hoping that I would be able to ride back with everyone."

As much as the prospect scared her she could not chance teleporting herself that far again.

"If there is room that is."

If not she would simply ask to borrow one of LadyCasandra’s horses.

Manny nodded. "Yes, there is room. We had some leave early. And there was an extra coach brought along in case anyone showed and needed a ride back." There was room for her, she didn't even have to sit with others. "We can have the little princess ride with us, that is, if you would allow me to ride with you." He had the thought that perhaps she did not want his company on the ride back.

She thought for a moment and then nodded slowly.

"Just you, her, and me? I don't have to ride with the others?"

That was good.

"I think I will like that I am not ready for so many people yet. I wanted to run from the ball even before Eros showed up."

The way she said Eros' name showed the disdain she had for the god.

Manny chuckled. "No, no one else." Then there was a knock at the door. Manny got up and went to go get it. It was Jean with a stack of folded white robes. Gwendolan's robes. They had been laundered and cared for so she could put them back on. Manny thanked her and closed the door. He brought the robes in and set them down. "I thinks I'll leave you to change and I will go to my room next door and do the same. We can walk down then." He knew they would have to go say goodbye and thank you to Casie on their way out.

She looked up as she heard a knock on the door. How many people were going to see her in a man’s room? She thanked the woman, she was happy to have her robes back.

"Thank you Manny I shouldn’t be long."

When he was gone she stripped off the sweat pants and shirt and carefully laid them over the end of the bed. She pulled her robes on and ran a brush through her hair. Once satisfied she went out of the room and knocked on the door to Manny's room.

Manny nodded to her and went back to what was supposed to be his room in the first place. He packed up his things, and he even got a paper sack to out in the gifts from the ball that Gwendolan would have had. They had all been brought to him save for the pillow and blanket which was in the room already. He put his things in his bag and hers in the sack and then headed for the door. He was about five steps from it when she knocked. He opened the door with a smile. "Shall we go then?" He smiled and offered her his arm, the arm that didn't have it's hand full.

Gwen took his arm and nodded. She was a ball of nerves, Manny would feel her tension once she had his arm, she was gripping it rather tightly. She knew the inn had a forest nearby and nice gardens; but would she be able to handle all the people.

"I guess it is time."

She walked with him down the hall. She would let him lead as she was not entierly sure where they were going.

Manny walked with her, carrying her things as well as his. They headed for the kitchen. If Casie wasn't there, than Sara would know where she was. He wanted to say bye, he would see her back at the Inn later.

Manny would enter the kitchen just in time to see Ivan hugging Cas and kissing her temple. He would hear her wise crack at Ivan's back as he left. She looked at the door.

"Hello Manny, I see you met the Lady Gwendolan."

Manny playfully smacked at Ivan's shoulder. "Hands and lips off the lady of the house." He laughed as he walked over to Casie. "Yes, I did. And we are headed out. I hear the party was a smash." He gave her a one armed hug. "See you back at the Inn dear." He waited a moment to see if Gwendolan wanted to say anything before they left.

Cassie laughed and hugged Manny back, although only thirteen years her senior she thought of Manny like a father. She loved him dearly.

"Yes you will see me around the inn, I will only be spending the weekends here at Claremount."

She smiled at Gwendolan.

"Lady Gwendolan, I am sorry you were not able to enjoy the ball."

Gwen smiled at Cas. It was clear that she held Manny in a very high regard. Gwen knew that she was a special woman she had a gift with animals. That her protector chose to stay with her was evidence that she was a very special person. Oh yes Gwen knew what Kjay was.

"Lady Casandra, I am sorry I left as I did but I could not bear to be in the same room as Eros. I.... I also do not like to have so many people around me."

She bowed her head.

"Perhaps we will get to speak further, I have decided to stay at the Inn for a while so that I may get to know my granddaughter."

Manny chuckled at Cas's comment. "Well, you know where I'll be." He would be at his usual post, at the desk in the men's room keeping tabs on the work the other men do. He waited for the ladies to finish their conversation. Then he was going to escort Gwendolan to the coach.

Cas smiled at Gwen and nodded.

"I understand why you left; perhaps better than most."

It was true had Deacon shown up to a party like that she would not have even been there long enough to have acknowledged him.

"I will see you both back at the Inn."

She leaned over to Kiss Manny's cheek.

Manny nodded and they headed out to the coaches and carriages. He escorted Gwendolan to the last coach in the row. He opened the door and helped her inside. He waited until he would see the little princess before he himself would climb up in.

He watched as the coaches and carriages filled with guests. When he saw Gwendolan's granddaughter come out he went and got her. He brought her to the coach that they were to ride in, the three of them. He allowed her to enter first.

Once everyone who was riding back was loaded and ready to go, Willow started out back to the Inn. They took the same routes and portals on their way back that they had taken to get there. Once they were back, everyone unloaded from the caravan and returned to their lives within the Inn.

Willow stayed, as well as the white carriage that Venis officially gave to the Inn at this point. The one black carriage that Venis had already had at the Inn, as well as the two large black coaches that her and Kahn had been using were also staying. Everything else that was brought for the event was being returned to the castle.

Manny escorted Gwendolan and her Granddaughter to Emilia's room. He showed her that he was right next door and then they parted company. He made sure to leave Gwendolan's things from the party with her. He had such a wonderful weekend. And it made him very happy to know that she was right next door and they would have some time to get to know each other better.
