A healer is her own worst patient

Tasha was laying in bed not sleeping again. She had something on her mind that had happened a little over a week before. It was a close call, and she knew it could happen again. She might even break next time. But she fully planned to stick to her guns. But still, it is better to be safe than sorry. She got up from the bed and put on her robe. She left Leviathan asleep and crept from her room. Given the hour, the kids would be asleep, but probably not Casie. She crossed the hall and knocked upon her door quietly.

Cas was sitting on the couch reading, she didn't sleep real well except when she was sleeping Amadeo beside her. She heard a knock at the door and moved to go open it. Seeing Tasha she moved letting her in.

"What brings you here this late at night?"

She knew it wasen't a social call or Tasha would have just waited till morning.

She walked in the door and waited as it was closed behind her. "Casie, I have a problem, and I need your help. It's of a rather personal nature. But I can't deal with it myself. I know there's a doctor in the Inn, but I trust you more." She was wringing her hands together in front of her.

Cas led her to the couch.

"Tasha if it was that bad you should have come to see me sooner, I med Dr Blake he is a good man, if I am ever not here please at least try to see him."

She sat in a chair across from her.

"Now spill it Tash"

Tasha sat down and crossed her legs. She leaned forward over her legs and wrapped her arms around her legs. "I do not think I will be going to a guy for this Cas. I think I need to get on birth control." She hoped the kids were asleep. Hell of a time to think about that, wasn't it?

[Casandra Lightheart]

She smiled at her.

"Is that all? I can write you a scrip for the pill."

She started looking for her pad.

Tasha turned red as she was about to get into some serious trouble. "Um, Cas. There's a problem with the pill. I um, barely, um. I don't even know when the last time I ate was. I don't think the pill is a good idea." She was glad Casie hadn't asked her who the he was, but she knew there would be trouble from the not eating.

She looked at Tasha concerened.

"I can't give you anything but the pill or herbs and if you arn't even eating..."

She let her voice trail off.

"Tasha you are going to have to go to Dr Blake tell him you need a depo shot. You will need to have a new one every three months. As for the not eating we will discuse that later."

She pulled out note book and wrote a letter to Dr Blake.

Dr Blake,
This is my friend Tasha, I need you to give her a depo shot, I can not do it so I am sending her to you.

"Here Tash take this to Dr Blake."

She handed her the letter.

Tasha took the letter. "I met the Doctor the other night in the bar. I was just hoping I could avoid that route. But it is better than going to ... Yea, I don't want to explain that to her. Not to mention, I do not think she wants others to find out she has a PHD." She sighed. She was not liking this idea.

She looked up at Casie with a half-hearted smile. "You would think that a woman in her thirties could be more mature and able to handle such things. Oh, and is this going to work with my metabolism. Perhaps I should have done some research on the subject." She chuckled. She was still a bit unsure about going to the Doctor with all this.

Cas shook her head and smiled.

"If you’re that worried about it then I'll go down there with you, I'll tell him I need help because I am not sure about the metabolism."

She looked at her and placed her hand on her arm.

"But wait till morning, we should both try to get some rest."

Tasha sighed. Rest, something she needed and never got enough of any more. "Ok, in the morning it is. Unless I loose my nerve by then." She smiled as she hugged Cas and headed out. She needed to take her gown in anyway if she was going to look right in it come Valentines Day. She had been eating just enough to keep her body from attacking her muscles. She was down to less than one percent body fat from three percent. So, all her clothes were too big. She went back to her room and laid down on her bed.

It was the next morning. Cas got up and got the kids ready to school. She kissed them and sent them off in the carriage. She dressed herself and then went to get Tasha.

Tasha opened the door, well, yanked it open. She really needed to get that fixed. She had on green seat pants that were falling off of her and therefore were rolled down to make the waist smaller. She wore half of a Philadelphia Eagles jersey for a top. She had sewn a piece of material into it with elastic along the bottom of the material so it formed a shelf. You could see her stomach and her hip bones. But the pants weren't rolled low enough to see her rose tattoo.

Her hair was a mess and the dark circles under her eyes gave away the fact that she had not slept a wink. She was barefoot and really looked like death warmed over. "I had hoped you would have forgotten. Let me run a brush through my hair." She rubbed her eyes and yawned as she walked over and ran a brush through her hair roughly. "Ok, let's get this over with." She headed back to the door.

Cas looked at Tasha and sighed.

"Tasha, you need to start eating, you have lost way to much weight."

She thought a moment.

"Do I need to order the employees to bring food to you?"

Tasha shook her head no. "They bring me food when I remember to ask for it." She stood back from the door and slammed it closed. She hadn't lost all that much weight, she had only had three percent body fat to begin with. And she was eating enough that she still had muscle tone, very good muscle tone. She was just down to less than one percent body fat now. She didn't see the problem. Even if she was a healer. She knew she had to eat enough to keep her body from attacking the muscles, and she was doing that. You could see her hip bones normally, just not as protruded. Her metabolism was too high for her to be fat.

"Tasha, when you remember is not enough, I will have the employes bring you food. Consider it Dr's orders."

She smiled as she headed down to the Doc's room.

Tasha hung her head and sighed as they walked. She watched her bare feet pad upon the floor. She needed to paint her toe nails. "What good would it do for me to eat if I am not hungry Cas?" She was telling the truth, she wasn't hungry very often.

[Casandra Lightheart]

"Just, try to eat when the food is brought to you."

They reached the door and Cas knocked.

Tasha turned around and leaned her back against the door, crossing her arms over her chest. Her left foot was out from the wall about a foot and her right foot was against the wall. "Casie, it's not that big a deal, really. You know I can't get fat. So it doesn't really matter if I eat more or not." She knew that not eating right could cause a person to gain weight just like if they ate too much.

[Casandra Lightheart]

"You are in no danger of getting fat, eat healty chicken, fish, veggies."

She knocked on Doc's door again.

"I'm not worried about getting fat. I'm just trying to tell you that even if I did eat more, it's not like I would gain a whole hell of a lot. I'll still be a twig with certain ... assets." She had to chuckle at that one. Blessing or curse, no matter how thin she was, she still had the most important of female curves, front and back. Not that she had a big butt, but she had a butt.

"Please try"

She ment it. Now she was silent and just waited for the Dr.

Tasha just nodded in silence as she waited with Casie for the Doc to answer the door.

The Ladies would find Doctor Blake wasn't in his room. how would they find that out? well The Good Doctor stepped up behind them. he was wearing his doctorly clothes, which today meant a pair of scrubs along with his lab coat. Before he spoke up hiding his name badge in his pocket.

"who're we waiting for? oh! that guy?" smiling big and looking past them at his door, since he'd never met either of these ladies, he thought this would be a good game to play." He's Lame... I'm far more suited to help you out. whats the problem?"

She shook her head and smiled as she looked at Dr Blake.

"Haha funny, I am still waiting for that scrip for sweats."
