Catching up

[Kahn Jordianthan]

Cass had stated that she has much to discuss with him. It seems a lot had happened while he was away dealing with family issues. Looking out the window he notices the hustle and bustle

"Well, well this certainly is becoming the new and best tourist attaction in the area. Guess it's time I got caught up on events"

*Dressing in some medium finery, he straps on a katana, just in case and heads over to Cassie's room and knocks*

"Hey Beautiful...you awake?"

Cas was awake, she had been up since the crack of dawn. She was dressed in charcol dress pants ans a cream silk shirt.

Kjay heard Khan and his ears perked up as his tail began thumping the floor.

"It's unlocked Khan"

*He walks in and chuckles seeing Kjay wagging his tail wildly. Walking over to him he rustles his fur and wrestles with him a bit, playing*

"Hey Kjay sorry didn't say hi to ye earlier"

*His eyes go to Cas and he smiles, walking over to her and giving her a soft kiss, a friendly kiss as he was accustomed to with his female friends*

"Hi Cass, now that we have time we can catch up.. When I got back you said you wanted to talk to me?. What's up? How's everything been?"

*He had always liked Cas. She and him had gotten very close.. In the past some may have said almost too close, but he really didn't care what other people though, save for one*

Kjay happily played around with him and then went back to the fire when he was done. His eyes always on the two of them. He was even more watcheful of his human now then he had been in the past.

Cas stood at he walked in and and hugged him tight returning his kiss and then sat down in a chair.

"A lot has happened Kahn, I don't even know where to begin."

*Returning the hug he rubs her back softly. Then as she takes a seat he takes the the seat next to her he raises a brow. He wasn't sure he liked the sound of that. Looking to her now a bit worried, he takes her hand and rubs a thumb over the top*

"I'm sure it has hun. It's fine, take your time..start from the beginning if you are able"

She smiled as he took her hand. Yes, she knew that some people thought there was something between them, but the never had been and never would be.

"Kahn, I know that you are more then aware I dropped off the face of Rhydin almost five years ago. I locked myself away after my last lover died. I hid myself at Claremount untill about four months ago."

[Kahn Jordianthan]

*He nods and continues to gaze at her*

"aye.. after the rose closed.. a lot of us disappeared. Hell after Venis's abduction I went into seclusion, not knowing if I ever would see her again. The only reason I even appeared again was cause I felt her out and about. Then to see her like she was, and noone able to touch her without causing her pain. At one point I almost gave up my godhood. So disappearing after the loss of a loved one...nothing to worry about"

She smiled softly

"Kahn, I was refusing to eat and barely drinking anything, I was wasting away to nothing, I thought it was my fault all the men in my life kept dying or disapearing.

Amorenth's grandmother came and gave me a wake up call, I started eating and leaving my room, I took care of things around Claremount after that.

"I heard word of all you being here and I had to come."

[Kahn Jordianthan]

*Smiling he pats her hand*

"I know. It's like a Rose reunion isn't it?"

"The twins will be happy to see you."

She then looked down and tried to hide the tears.

"I did something before Christmas that will haunt me forever."

*That causes him to raise a brow and brush her hair softly*

"What is it Cas? what happened? who do I have to kill?"

Of course he was joking with the last statement. Trying to lighten the mood

"You don't have to kill anyone, he's already dead."

That was when she could nolonger hide the tears.

"I see it over again in my dreams every night, we killed him, even with a warrent and knowing he deserved it..."

She fell silent.

[Kahn Jordianthan]

*He shakes his head not knowing what the hell she was talking about and looks to her*

"Cass.. yer not making sense. What in the nine hells are you talking about?"

She looked up at him tears straming down her face, she was glad the twins were at school.

"My ex husband Deacon, and the dream walker he paid to tramatize me while trying to get the locarion of the twins. We killed them."

[Kahn Jordianthan]

*He holds her and wipes the tears off*

"I understand your sorrow in having to do it. But if there was a warrant and there was much much of a threat.. It had to be done. I'm not understanding why you're telling ME all this Cass. Not to be crass, but what do those events have to do with me?"

[Casandra Lightheart]

She looked at him a bit taken back.

"They have nothing to do with you; but you did ask."

She smiled at him through her tears, then kissed his cheek.

"I think that telling even just you and the man I am seeing what happened it might help, me move past it."

[Kahn Jordianthan]

*He looks to her, offers a soft smile*

"Never know Cass. I guess I just assumed when you wanted to talk it was regarding things going on at the in..my apologies"

"No just two old friends sitting down to talk."

She wipped her tears. Every day it was getting easier and she was good at hiding her saddness from the twins.

"Did V tell you I actually started seeing someone? After four years I am letting a man close to me."

[Kahn Jordianthan]

*He shook his head and leaned back in his seat*

"No hun.. she never mentioned it. That's good"

[Casandra Lightheart]

"The Marques del Stry, I met him the day I came to the Inn."

She smiled and her hand went to the glass heart hanging from her neck.

"I care for him a lot, I know I am falling for him even if I don't love him yet."

*Nods again and smiles softly*

"That's good. best fortunes in that"
