The Late Present [Open to De'Ryanna] Empty The Late Present [Open to De'Ryanna]

Christmas was not a holiday known, and therefore not celebrated by Elves, which explained Armandeus' ignorance of the event. Ignorance can be bliss, but it did not allow one to be blind, and it was hard to miss the holiday preparations happening around the Inn. It was the Elf's thought that the holiday had passed, but time flowed different in Rhy'Din, and he could be mistaken.

That left the matter of what to do about the holiday. Now that he had finally acknowledged it, something had to be done, but what? Armandeus' knowledge of the holiday was none, and what little Elessar had told him was proving to be useless. That was until there came the mention of a present. Lucky for Ar he was already well acquainted with the giving of presents, and it gave him an idea. Heading towards the kitchen, he had some work to do.

That had been a while ago, and now the Elf was prepared. Dressed in full Elven archer apparel, though lacking the bow and quiver, and wearing his cloak, he was ready to go. Picking up the waiting and covered tray, Armandeus left the kitchen and headed upstairs.

Up the stairs and down the hall he went to his destination: De'Ryanna's room. Utilizing Elven balancing skills he managed to get the door open, and inside the room without dropping the tray. Now, where was De'Ryanna?

De'Ryanna was inside the room and she knew that someone was coming thanks to the trick of wards. There was no knock and therefore the only person it could have been was Armandeus. Anyone else entering without knocking would not have gotten far.

She was arranging flowers in a vase on the desk. Lavender lilies and baby's breath, not turning from her task until he had closed the door. Turning to smile at him it only grew when she saw what he was wearing. His archer uniform. It was how he looked in it and the memory that it brought up that caused her musical laughter to come from her lips.

"Armandeus, what is this?" Indicating his clothing and the tray he was carrying she left the desk to approach him, lightly Caressing his left cheek with her hand, looking up at him.

Armandeus knew he could never sneak in on De'Ryanna; the woman was harder to surprise than an unguarded Elf. It was of no matter though, Ar's plan hadn't required stealth, and there were more than one way to surprise someone.

Her laughter was one of the best sounds in the world, and it brought a grin to his face every time he heard it. It was also a sign that she remembered. The memory of their second meeting was one of his favorites; the archer's clothing, the cloak, and the covered tray, it had all been done before.

At the caress he simply smiled, hoping that she would enjoy what he had thought of. "This is for Christmas. I wished to surprise you."
