She felt herself relaxing in his arms, before this moment she had not been able to tell any of what she had done and seen that night. Deacon had said words that hurt her deeply, tried to kill her with a dagger that was supposed to represent love, and then there was her horse, all that on top of the fact that he had tried to keep her locked up when she was pregnant and was the cause of her children not being with her.

"He asked me if I cried out in bed for you like I did with him."

Her voice was a very soft whisper.

"It was not right of him to say that."

Her sobbing had subsided to to silent tears but still she did not let go of him.

"There was so much blood, Kjay, Leviathan, and Tasha in her panther form tore the dream walker up so bad he was barely recognizable at human."

She took a deep breath.

"Deacon, was tortured, before he died he said he never loved me."

She fell silent as she thought of what he said. She knew he was right. She had already been trying to keep her life as normal as possible over the last week or so. It had been hard but he was right she was strong.
