Jorge nodded and went in search of a glass. Once he had found one he located some cold water. He filled the glass and got one of the smaller towels, soaking it with the cold water as well. He rang it out thoroughly and then headed out the door to find Armandeus.

He found him sitting upon the floor with his back against the wall. He didn't look like he felt too well. He knelt down near him and offered him the glass of water first. "This might help, and the bone is set, there will be no more sounds to harm your ears. You have ... sensitive hearing, no?"

He showed him the cold towel. "This is for your face, it will help as well, I believe. Tasha asked me to make sure you get these. She likes to be helping." Jorge offered him a smile, one that he hoped was comforting.

Casie had been helping Armandeus and was right behind him as he left his color didn't look good at all. She waited for Jorge to give him the water and the cloth and heard what he said about Tasha. She placed a hand on Jorge's shoulder.

"I'll take care of him why don't you go back to the room just in case."

She sat down beside Armandeus.

"I assume the two of you share a bond?"

Jorge nodded to Casie and rose up to leave. "Yes ma'am. I hope you feel better Armandeus." He turned and returned to the room.

De'Ryanna was not too far behind when Armandeus left the room. She did not run after him and she did not take any more time than was necessary, but she had to get a very valuable item first. When they had put the beds together it had been displaced, but she knew where it was.n Perhaps the people were too busy in the room to notice that she took up what appeared to be a stuffed pink hippo and headed out the room.

The item was held behind her back once she left the room and she calmly walked down the hall to where Casandra was with Armandeus. "He merely had to leave due to him not being a fan of grating bones." De'Ryanna chimed in for she had heard the question about the bond. She had advanced hearing thanks to her father's gift.

After it was said she stood there with her hands behind her back.

Armandeus groaned softly as his head rested against the wall. He was sufficiently far enough from the room now, that even his hearing couldn't pick up the sounds, but the nausea remained.

The glass of water and cold towel had been taken gratefully, though for the moment the water remained untouched. The towel, in the meantime, had been folded and placed over his eyes as he concentrated on breathing evenly.

He remained that way until Casandra's voice and the question of a bond caused him to lift his head. It was an unexpected question; the bond was near impossible to notice unless one had witnessed the effects between the two. With Elessar currently sedated, the bond was blissfully silent.

He had been about to answer the question when De'Ryanna spoke. "She is right, my hearing is... rather sensitive." That was nearly an understatement considering; Ar's ears were sensitive even by Elven standards.

Jorge returned to the room and went to see if Tasha needed any help. "Has anyone chosen a color yet? Or shall it be white?" He reached a hand to Elessars forehead to check his temprature. It was going down, just as Epiphany had said it would. It was taking some time, but it was working. He couldn't help but smile.

Shamus had stepped aside. Tasha had enough of the cast done that he no longer needed to hold the arm. "No one sugested anything yet. How's Armandeus?" He began to wash Elessar where Armandeus left off. He had nearly finished already, but there was still some to be done, so it gave Shamus something to do.

Isah was still helping with the cast. He kept the plaster from setting while Tasha made the cast. So he never moved. "Is there anything else broken?" He was addressing everyone in the room. But he looked to Epiphany. He thought she would know better than the other men would. But he wanted to know so he would know if he was going to have to mix up some more plaster for another cast.

"That's a good job with that cast Tasha," She had been looking at what the other was doing while she was easing the pill into Elessar's mouth, placing it into the pocket of his cheek. She wasn't worried about it slipping down his throat or causing him to chock because the pill would dissolve soon and break down as it should.

Then there was Jorge's question. "White is fine. That way he can have people sign his cast if he wants. No doubt it will be a very new experience for him. Afterward I only need someone to help me tape up his ribs. Kinda need him to sit up, or be on his side for bit. Add a splint to that and he'll have the best posture in the world when the tape is removed." She tried to be funny with that, always believing that adding a bit of humor can help nearly any situation.

"Then we'll be done and let him rest for a bit until Ar comes back."

Tasha never looked up from her task, but spoke anyway. "Thank you Epiphany. I would imagine that Casie will be back in any second, she can help you with the wrapping of the ribs. I don' want to mess up this cast. Shamus, you can help the ladies with sitting him up, right?" She continued making sure that it was going to turn out the way it should.

She was occasionally looking at the elf while he was getting the rest of the way washed off. "Epiphany, some of these bruises are rather dark. Should we leave them to heal on their own or should we treat them. We could use ice or leaches. And Jorge, I need some butterfly strips and bandages from my bag for these cuts. I don't see any that would need stitches. We'll look when we get him sat upright though to be sure." She continued with the cast.

Jorge nodded and began to retrieve items from Tasha's medical bag that she had requested. "Armandeus should be fine. He just has sensitive hearing and needed to get away from the sound of grinding bones. Tasha, if I were you, I would try to never shift around Armandeus."

He was pulling out sealed packages of bandages and such. "Tasha, you do not have many butterfly strips. Should I try Casandra's bag?" He looked up as he asked and she nodded. So he checked the bag and found some more. He began to set the things on the bed. Then he started putting adhesive strips on small scratches and cuts.

Shamus finished washing him and gathered all the dirty linens into a pile. "Yes, I can help with that. Some of these linens might not come clean. But I can help wash the laundry later if you would like Epiphany. Do we have splints down here that would work for ribs or should I run and get some. Tasha, I know you didn't have any in your bag. I didn't see any in Casie's either come to think of it. I'll be right back, I know there are some in your trunk Tasha." And with that he headed through the portal to Tasha's room.

He opened her trunk and went through the splints inside. He had once had broken ribs, and Tasha had wrapped him, so he knew what he needed. But she was out. So he went to Casie's room. He looked around her room and saw a cabinet. He started going through it not disturbing anything. He found what he was looking for. He grabbed up eight. Six to use and two just in case. He saw a large elastic wrap bandage and grabbed that up as well, and some rolls of gauze. He knew she had some tape down in her bag, Tasha had brought back a lot of it and shared with Casie. So he went back to the portal and back to the room to wait for Casie to come help with the ribs. While he waited he helped Jorge with the small cuts.

Cassie nodded as she saw Ryan come out into the hallway and stood.

"I think you will be best sutied for careing for Armandeus."

She smiled and walkd past them back into the room, she saw that they were sitting Elessar up and moved over to them, she came in just as Shamus came through the portal.

"Time to splint the ribs."

She looked at Epiphany.

"Do you want to wrap or hold the splints in place?"

When Shamus came through the portal he saw Casie re-enter the room. He set the things for splinting the ribs on the bed. He climbed up on the bed at Elessars head. He squatted down and put his arms under the elf's shoulders. "Ready Tash?" He slowly began to lift and lean forward. Once he had Elessar sitting upright, and saw that Tasha had not had a problem moving the arm with them, he found a way to brace himself so he could hold him up and not be in the way of the two who were going to be working.

"I would like to do the wrapping please." Epiphany said in response to Casandra's question as she got the things needed for the job. Her tone was soft and soothing and she watched Elessar for a few moments.

Now that they had him in a sitting up position she got in place; ready to start the taping once Casandra had the splints in place.

Cas worked quickly but carefully as she helld the splints in place for taping. She waited till Pip was almost done with the previous one before grabbing up the next splint and holding it in place.

Working with Casandra's help, they were able to tape up his ribs in a quick fashion so that Shamus wouldn't have to keep Elessar in the sitting up position for too long. While Epiphany worked she hummed a light tune that was calm and soothing. It wasn't loud, and it even had a distant quality.

"With the help of all of us, he should feel better soon. And Tasha, I.. wouldn't go with leeches. If he finds out he had creatures attached to his skin, pulling out blood, I think he may have a heart attack. " She could see it now, Elessar may be tearing at his skin for weeks afterward and Ar? He would faint. "The bruises can heal on their own, light rubbing here and there and it will clear."

Tasha finished the undercoat of the cast and went to work on making the smooth outer surface, perfect for signing. "Not a problem Epiphany. I know some prefer to not have the leaches, I'm not a fan of them myself. But perhaps some ice would help them heal without swelling?" It was just a passing thought. She knew some of those bruises were going to take a while to heal and they were going to be very sore.

She finished the cast and examined his back while Shamus held him up and Epiphany and Casie wrapped his ribs. She didn't see anywhere he would need stitches. But there were a couple of spots that needed butterfly strips and adhesive strips. And one scrape that needed a gauze bandage. She took care of that and began to bandage the other places that needed it. There weren't too many, and the men had already taken care of most of them anyway.

Then she reached over to check his fever. It was going down. She smiled. "It seems our patient is going to make a full recovery." She smiled then. She checked that mushy place on his abdomen that Casie had found, it was bruising, but it seemed less mushy, so she figured it felt that way because of the bruise forming. It seemed that his ribs were the last thing and then it was just letting him heal. "I know the fever is breaking, but something caused it, any idea what it was?"

Out in the hallway......

Once Casandra had left to head back into the room De'Ryanna knew it was safe to pull out the pink hippo. The other had seen it before, but this was the principle of the matter. Moving out her skirt she crouched down, balancing on the balls of her feet, and pulled the stuffed toy out from behind her back, setting it upon her knees.

"I brought someone to see you." She said quietly, slightly bouncing the hippo on her knee. "He says that we should go back inside." Her other hand came out and rested against his shoulder.

"And I'm here for you too. Remember. You don't have to deal with this alone."

"I brought someone to see you." That was curious, for whom else was there to bring? The cloth slipped away from his face as he sat up straighter and he opened his eyes to find himself staring at a bouncing pink hippo.

He chuckled, one hand reaching out to pat the toy's head. "I wasn't aware that he suddenly learned to talk." The hippo was a welcome distraction, and it was helping. He certainly didn't look ready to loose what little bit of lunch he'd eaten at any rate.

"I know I'm not alone," The hand that wasn't on the hippo came up to rest against the one she had on his shoulder. "and I am glad you are here for me." He smiled, and began to stand.

As Armandeus was standing up, De'Ryanna rose as well, the hippo coming with her. Because her hand had already been upon his shoulder she kept it there, only moving it along his shoulder until she had him in a one-arm hug. A bold move in her opinion considering they were not in a private setting.

"Let's go back. They should be nearly done with Elessar now and we have to see what we are to do about your bed." Since Elessar was on Armandeus' bed, he would need somewhere to sleep. "We can bring in another...or you can stay across the hall. "

He knew what she meant. Slowly she started towards the room, making sure that he was following.

The one-armed hug may have been a bold move, but it was one Armandeus was not complaining about. He grinned, flexing his fingers to brush up against hers, lingering for a moment before falling away.

It was just outside the bedroom door he stopped, looking surprised. In the chaos he had completely forgotten about his lack of a bed. The thought of staying across the hall was a tempting, not to mention enjoyable, but he had to shake his head. Until Elessar awoke and the bond reconnected he didn't want to be far. She would understand, he knew. "Perhaps we can find one that is bigger than my last?" One eyebrow raised in question, hoping she would get the meaning behind his words.

He didn't wait for an answer before he pushed the door open, stepping inside the room. Looking through the gaps between the people crowded around the bed he was able to get a bit of a look at Elessar. While the other Elf was still obviously beaten and bruised, Armandeus could tell he was recovering. Through his other senses Ar could see the light of his faer was burning like a lit flame, growing stronger. Smiling triumphantly, and shaking his head to restore normal vision, he turned back to De'Ryanna. "He will recover."

Tasha was asking about how Elessar got in his current condition and, while Epiphany had a guess, she didn't think she should say anything. So she went with another interruption. "Whatever it was, it didn't kill him." Fortunately. She had been watching Elessar carefully to see if any of the things she gave him had an adverse effect on whatever else as already in his system. However, this wasn't the case. This wasn't a bad thing, for it helped her to cancel out what it wasn't.

"Looks like our job is almost done here."

Isah and Jorge started getting things cleaned up an put away. They didn't want to leave a mess behind. Jorge went over and set a bunch of the adhesive bandages, gauze, butterfly strips and a roll of tape on the night table by the bed for changing the bandages as needed. They were washing out bowls in the bathroom sink and gathering up the dirty linens and making sure that nothing was left out of place.

Shamus was continuing to hold up the elf until someone told him that he could safely lay him down. He didn't want to move him again too soon. It might make things worse. He was happy to be able to help though. It made him feel needed. None of the men butted into the conversation that the ladies were having.

Tasha nodded as she checked the cast to make sure it was drying. It was going to be perfect. "Yes, thankfully. I will want to check on him at least once a day. Check the cast and things. He cannot get this wet and it has to stay clean. Well, save for the signatures." Somehow she figured that Epiphany knew more than she was letting on. But she was going to let it slide. It wasn't her business. She was there to do a job and only that. If someone wanted more from her they would state as much.

She went to her bag and pulled out a package of marking pens in many colors. They were called Sharpies. She laid them down on the bed near the cast in hopes that someone would explain to him later that they are so people could sign his cast. Then she returned to her bag to find the root she needed to close the portal. She hoped she remembered which one it was and that she still had some on her.

Casie placed a hand on Shamus' shoulder.

"You can put him down now Shamus, Thank you."

She turned to the others in the room.

"I'm sorry I have been tierd lately and think I need to excuse myself."

She left the room and headed back to her own. Tomorrow she would go see Venis.

Once they got to the room she gave him a nod, already thinking about room arrangements and getting the meaning of what he said. She was glad to see that things in the room had progressed, Elessar was looking well on the way to health - if not very wrapped up.

"He will recover just fine. Thank you for helping Casandra." The last was directed to Casandra, of course, since she was leaving the room. Moving from Armandeus, De'Ryanna started moving around the room, hands folded in front of her, observing the work that had been done and those who were still there. It looked more in comparison to a teacher looking around at the work students had completed while mentally marking off grades in their book.

"Thank you all for offering your time and assistance."

"He's too stubborn to be killed by a fever." Armandeus had heard Epiphany's words, and couldn't resist sticking his two cents in. He was right though, Elessar was nothing if not stubborn and the streak ran deep.

Freed from De'Ryanna, Armandeus began moving towards the closet. There he began digging around until he found what he wanted: an oversized baggy black shirt. It in hand, he turned and went over to the bed. Now that they had Elessar cleaned and bandaged like a mummy it wouldn't do any harm in dressing him.

Taking a perch on the edge of the bed he reached out and lifted the Elf's good arm, slipping it through one of the arm holes. In addition to being overly large the shirt was the kind that opened in the front. At one time it even had buttons to close it, but those had long since been removed. Draping it across him, putting the shirt on him backwards, Ar began carefully moving the cast arm. The movement of the arm, and getting it through the sleeve was done in one fast motion.

The dressing finished, he reached to the foot of the bed and took hold of the blankets there. Pulling them up, he covered Elessar almost clear to his chin. Satisfied, he turned back to the room, watching as the others gathered their belongings. "Thank you all for your help. I could not have done this alone."
