Luckily for Aiden he managed to make it downstairs without running into anyone else. By the time he reached the main floor he was able breathe easier, despite the fact that he didn't breathe at all. His fangs still ached with thirst, but the moment of panic was starting to pass away.

A moment of pause was taken as he began putting that black cloak on, pulling the hood down over his face. If his luck held out he would get out the door unnoticed, and by higher powers he hoped so. At the moment the thirst was nothing more than a nagging dry sensation to accompany the ache, but he knew from experience it would grow stronger until it was impossible to ignore.

For now he opted to ignore it, for he caught the sounds of someone coming down the stairs behind him. He was being followed, and if that was the case he had no choice to wait for them to appear. The only question now was who was it? Mary-Ann or Inion?

It wasn't Inion that followed him outm she needed to change out of her wet clothes. She didn't want to spy on him, though she wanted to spend as much time with him as she could. She went to her rooms, changed and decided to wait for him to return. She brought her sketch book got something to drink and settled into a comfortable chair.

That's right he was being followed. He didn't think that he could simply sneak off without gaining any type of suspicion now could he? Vesta wasn't really suspicious as she was curious, and the last time she ran into him was interesting. Why he was all covered in a cloak now made it even moreso.

Now she had no skill in stealth or spying, or any of those other things that others in this Inn had but she could be sly when she wanted. Now was not one of those times. With her hands behind her head she came down the steps, not even bothering to mask it either. When she had almost cleared it she saw the one she was 'stalking'.

"Where ya running off to Gilligan?"

In actuality Aiden had been under the impression that he could sneak off without any suspicion. Vampires were supposed to be stealthy, though it seemed stealth was a lacking trait when it came to the Caribbean vampires such as himself. He knew he had been caught tough, and had remained at the bottom of the stairs to face his so-called stalker.

Unfortunately for his stalker it wasn't going to be a meeting of the minds; their roles were about to be reversed. Aiden may have been trying to ignore his thirst, but all the ignorance in the world wouldn't help. Bloodthirst was like a caged wild animal; once let loose there was no stopping it, and Aiden was dangerously close to the point of no return.

In the short time it had taken the other to come downstairs he had changed. His senses had become sharper; focusing on the beating of her heart. It was mesmerizing, and the dry nagging sensation at the back of his throat rose to a full degree burn. He didn't have time to rationalize what he was about to do. As Vesta came into view he lunged..

Now there was something about the way he was suddenly coming at her that suggested he wasn't going to like, give her a hug from being happy to have seen her. And there wasn't anything in that look on his face that said he wanted to shoot the breeze with chit-chatting neither. That only left one thing: this guy was looking for some food. She might not have been around Vampires as much as some of these other folks, but there were those 'odd jobs' she been doing recently and, well, let's just say she was learning things.

Naturally athletic, when he jumped forward she jumped up and back and landed a handful of steps behind. "Slow your roll now Gilligan." Hands came out to catch her fall and support herself and Vesta brought her legs up and bent in crossed 'X'. Coming at her he'd be blocked by her feet, even pressing against them if he got close enough. Good thing about this was that if he did get land against her shoes it might jerk some reality to him and she could push him back and flip him aside if he persisted.

Right now she didn't think he was in his right mind, but she was settled. Scared? Not to the point of screaming bloody murder or peeing in her pants. It was more the anticipation of a fight. Oh yeah. Got the adrenaline pumping.

In cartoons there is almost always a scene where the villain freezes in mid-jump, completely missing the hero's attempt at retaliation. Sadly for Aiden this rule did not apply to real life, not even in the crazy world of Rhy'Din. As his lunge came to an end the vampire wouldn't find himself out of harm's way, or even with a neck to bite down on, but instead with a mouthful of shoe.

Ever try biting down on a shoe? It's not that pleasant, and even worse when you have pointy fangs sticking out. It did the trick, however; trying to bite down on a shoe was definitely the back-to-reality kick Aiden needed, and it showed in the sudden confusion on his face. In his haste to get away he jerked back a little too fast, and the motion was followed by a slight snapping sound.

Stumbling away, the only place to go was down. Down, down, until the confused guy would find himself laying on his back on the floor. Looking up, the source of the snapping noise was suddenly staring him in the face.. the very tip of one of his fangs was still embedded in her shoe. Suddenly thirst was the farthest thing from his mind.

His gaze traveled further, finally stopping on her face, and that's when what he tried to do really stuck home. "Oh Gods, what did I do?"

A disapointed sigh was herd from the darker end of the bar. The once still shadow rolled it's shoulders and turned away from the show that was going on. the sound of ice hitting glass filled the sudden silence as she spun the scotch she had nicked from the bar.

Sure she hadn't exactly made any attempts to greet anyone, always lurking about like some disgruntled old goat watching the actions of other as if this was her only means of entertainment. Whos to say it wasn't. Her first night here she came off as some pilgrim shadow fromt he east now she was in full form sitting at a bar drinking like she was a normal guest in the inn.

The words " Good show." was herd in a sarcastic britsh tone and her glass was raised brow high before she gave the fallen vampire a nod. the glass drifted back into it's place on the bar.

He snapped a tooth and she 'bout near lost a shoe! Aiden stumbled back and down, he looked to be cured of whatever it is that came over him. What was it with guys getting all strange around her? Was it the hair? Had to be something!

Vesta brought her legs down and placed them on the steps below, all but the shoe that had almost been a snack. That foot she pulled up and looked at the damage. "I think ya just broke a tooth. Might have to get a crown." Yeah she was taking it in stride. Slightly shook up, but the attack didn't continue so she was all right. Sure. Felt like someone had disturbed her quiet-time with a loud 'Boo'.

Must be why she jumped slightly when hearing that voice come from the bar. When did they show up or were they there the entire time?

"Huh? What?" Vesta pulled the shoe off of her foot to get a better look at the puncture hole later. "Heya stranger. Know where my friend here can get a gold cap?"

"Aiden," she started trying to dig into the hole and pull out the chiped portion. Maybe she could keep it? Wasn't everyday a Vampire sunk their teeth into the sole of your shoe. "What's with you? First you go sneaking off then you come at me. If you didn't want me to follow you could've just said 'no'."

Cloaked shoulders lifted and fell in a lazy shrug before leering forward to hudle over her scotch. Expecting a show Trindala was clearly put off drowning her unamusment with a cheap bevrage never seemed to help her mood either.

So there she sat eyeing the two side long and wondering if they kept the good drinks in a back store room. Then the horrid idea struck her. What if all the good liquor was lost in the days of old barried under years of change and misguided culture? Oh of all the misfortunes to come across! Did this world have no sanity left in it anymore!?

She shook her head as if coming out of a bad dream and gave an uncomfortable cough. The glass once coveted was then shoved aside with a gloved hand. Abandoned there ont he bar top for some inn keeper to deal with.

Yep, it was the hair, most definitely. Okay, well, it may have been the hair for other guys, but for Aiden it wasn't. For him it was more of a wrong place, really wrong time type of thing, but at least the shoe-in-mouth thing cured it!

He sat up in time to see her pull her foot up, and he was suddenly thankful his fang hadn't pierced all the way through to her foot. "You get a crown for breaking a tooth?" That made no sense to him at all. Weren't royalty the only ones who had crowns?

The voice from the bar caused him to turn with raised eyebrows. Good show? The voice was sarcastic, and therefore worth ignoring in Aiden's point of view.

Attention was turned back to Vesta at his name. Look there, she was trying to get his fang out of her shoe. Oops? Who knew fangs could stick in shoes? There was one thing he knew for sure, he didn't want the tooth back. Would it grow back on it's own? He didn't know, but until he found out he would be a real rarity: a vampire with a straw.

"You have not been around many vampires have you?" He didn't think so, though he could have been wrong. "Thirst for us is not the same as it is for you. It's a drink or die type of sensation, and often uncontrollable when it hits suddenly. I was not trying to ignore you, just trying to prevent what happened from happening."

Now with no drink to look busy with she spun about on the stool she perched on and faced the other two with a forced smile.
" Sorry to say but fangs unlike the rest of the body don't grow back. So you have few options you can turn to. One you file it back to a point and shape the other to match. Two you find someone who knows a good bit on dental workings. or three you live with it how it is and people call you Chip from here sense forth. Gent."

She tipped an imaginary hat then before crossing her legs high at the thigh. " I supose there is one last option. Tare them both out. Would save you the trouble of easy blood letting. however if you ever do manage to bite onto a neck ever again it will be so much more pain full to your victum when your taring into them with dull central incisors and lateral."

Hmm now that was a sight she wouldn't mind seeing a vampire missing eye teeth scraping away at the flesh of thier pray like a shovle on dry hard dirt. A cooing sigh left her as she leaned back into the bar and placed her elbows on it behind her.

Got it! All it took was a bit of digging and then she was able to pull the tooth - chipped tooth- out of her shoe. Now she had a bit of a hole in her shoe but she could always get new shoes. No way she could ever get a vampire tooth. Unless she ripped one out of their mouth.

Holding it up she smiled at it. "If you wanted some blood all ya had to do was ask. I mighta said yes." Would she? The heck if she knew. Might be one of those 'spur of the moment' things. Let's dwell on the possibility for a moment. Getting really close to a cute vampire: Good. Blood loss: not so good. End result: Not a bad deal.

"Bout your tooth. People get gold teeth here? You should get a gold fang. Think of how awesome you'd look."

All he would of had to do was ask? That earned her a rather surprised look from Aiden. He wasn't used to anyone saying yes to giving away their blood. Running away and screaming bloody murder, yes; agreeing to it, no. "Would you still say yes now?" He couldn't help but ask, she had him curious now! Besides with his tooth the way it was he couldn't bite her without causing a degree of pain to himself.

"Gold teeth? I've never seen anyone with gold teeth before. Have you?" A curious vampire could be a dangerous thing, and he was rather curious at this point. A gold fang sounded awesome indeed to him, and he could already picture what he would look like with one. You could tell by how his grin grew. "That'd be so awesome."

"Would you still say yes now?"

Damn. Forget everything else that he said, that was the kicker right there. He did have the broken tooth, and she had a punctured shoe but, was he being serious? The thoughts that caused.

She had seen all those movies. You know, the one where the vampires embrace the females all close and sink their into their necks? Looking more like passion than anything painful since the girls don't scream?

"Sure," she put her hands behind her head and lifted her hair up from her neck. "I'm game. I'll even give ya the name of the guy to fix your tooth."

Was he being serious? It was hard to tell with Aiden, especially with the grin he currently had. Either way, she couldn't expect him to go biting down with a broken fang. Besides the pain that would be sure to make quite a mess, and Aiden was not a messy eater.

The movies did make feeding seem grand, didn't they? The reality could be quite different, but that was not to say there wasn't passion involved. With pain there was always a degree of passion, at least when Aiden was involved.

She moved her hair, and he looked away. The last thing he needed was the bloodthirst to come back at the moment. "You know a person who specializes in fixing teeth?"

Darn. Well she tried anyway. That's what vampires liked though wasn't it? The exposed and subtle flesh of the neck. Then again she had like the worst timing to be trying anything like that. Broken tooth and all that on the poor guy.

Stretching her hand up, hair falling back to place, Vesta jumped down the remaining steps (there were only a few left anyway) and knocked her hands together once she was on the floor.

"Yeah I know a guy. I know many guys but I know a guy that could set ya up right." She'd pat him on the back if he didn't move from her. "South of the 'Hole in the Wall' bar, small place, green walls. Guy named Steve runs it. Tell him I sent ya. I could always go witya."

"You're definitely going with me." Aiden had been around to many places, including that particular bar, but going to a dentist was a whole new experience. And one he wasn't about to go through alone. Was he scared? Maybe he was and maybe he wasn't, but she wasn't going to find out either way.

"How bout we stop at the bar for a drink first?" The whole loosing a tooth thing had staved off his thirst, but it would return like that bad penny everyone talked about. Aiden didn't have any experience with a dentist before but he didn't think a guy playing with his mouth while he was hungry was such a good idea. Not that the idea of a guy playing in his mouth when he wasn't hungry was a good idea either. "What ya say?"
