He had been away comtemplating a few things, when suddenly he felt like there was a Dance and he was missing it.

'Who the hell is ahving a major Dance like that?,' he thought to himself. 'Guy goes hiding on his one special day so that he is not embrassed and they have a Dance like that."

The shadows would get him there faster, so that is what he did. He moved through the shadows to the source of the Dance. Why was he heading back to the inn? Nothing like that happened there and he knew about Venis' Dance Card.

On he moved, leaping from shadow to shadow like a dolphin in water. So full of energy and life. He got to the inn and looked around. He felt where the energy for the impending Dance was coming from, though he cocked his head. He closed his eyes to make sure. Yep, this was a new area he had not been to, but this is where it is from.

Off he set, he just entered the Meeting Hall just a slash of light appeared in frong of him. He Peeked around it, some might say he came out of it, and looked at the Dancers. There was Venis, and Tasha, the man from the stairs, and someone he did not know. Then he heard that voice, Furry Ass was here. He looked in the Gateway to see where it went, not liking the look he sat there and listened. Dragon reborn? Who the hell stood by his side? He was use to be alone, except for his two friends.

He moved off to a different spot to watch. He caught Tasha's eye and stood in the shadows mimicing both GAwain and the other male. No one else could see him and sure as heck know one could smell a shadow. He was so glad that the only scent he ever had was that of his father, and that was in his beastly form. He liked how that confused people. But for now he would wait and watch and have a little fun makin Tasha try and keep her composure.

In the Meeting Hall - Page 2 Empty Re: In the Meeting Hall

Post by De'Ryanna Aybara Mon Oct 20, 2008 11:25 am

Benjamin had backed down, but he hadn't stopped talking. That seemed to be one of his flaws: the gift of gab. Apparently someone else had it too. She could understand her fathers involvement in all of this - he was her father - but the other, she could not.

De'Ryanna could get just as 'hot under the collar' but she already had one outburst and her neck step would be to wallop them all. She stepped up to Venis, moving between the people who may have stood in her way. When she arrived her eyes were dead set upon Venis who had touched on a delicate topic for De'Ryanna. Family.

"Let me tell you this, and you let it sink in." her outward appearance was the picture of togetherness and calm, but it was what lay underneath that surface. A still quality to her tone that was sharp. "I don't bloody care what your relationship is to my father or if every light-forsaken person in this Shadow consumed Inn is a member of your family. I am not one of them. You are no member of my family. Do not meddle in my affairs."

Disrespectful or not she did not care. She had told them to stop with the nonsense and she had persisted by increasing the temperature in the room, having no regard for what she said. Even had the gall to seem prideful. Gawain had eased up, and attempted at civility, why couldn't she?

Holding her ground a moment longer she turned quickly and glanced at Armandeus. Then she brushed past Benjamin, nearly knocking him on the shoulder and saying one word, "Lyet," before she left the room. Of course, she did not see Dre since he was one of the shadows.

In the Meeting Hall - Page 2 Empty Re: In the Meeting Hall

It was the wrong time of the month for him to be in the presence of a female with a commanding voice. The vampire, she tried, but her show of authority was flashy at best with tricks of flickering fires and changing temperature. He believed that a true woman of strength had no need to do anything but speak and be obeyed.

De'Ryanna needed to be trained. He could train her. She only had to let him.

"Spit fire Ladies and Gentlemen." Benjamin even had the audacity to let a laugh slip. He had heard what she told him and was now watching her walk away. If she was going to walk away like that then he could watch her walk away all day. "That girl there is spit fire." And he liked it.

This assignment would not be as bad as he thought, even with the added dealings of her natural father and the vampire. He started to leave, she had asked him to come, but Gawain had introduced himself and he should do likewise. He was her father, and as he said earlier, the only one in the room that mattered in the business of why he was here.

"Benjamin Daniel Adams. Collector."

Then, he would follow.

In the Meeting Hall - Page 2 Empty Re: In the Meeting Hall

Post by Armandeus Mon Oct 20, 2008 3:11 pm

Armandeus knew when to stay out of things and as such had been silent throughout. Silent didn't mean he had stopped listening, however, and his ears twitched as the words got harsher. He had been standing in the room the entire time, yet how things had spiraled so far out of control he had no idea. It was only after De'Ryanna had spoken and left the room that he even moved from his spot.

Heading towards the door he stopped, looking them over with an increasing frown."Daro! Eir os o! Sor Ail shar ailaelaer eir ei vali thys eir taeresaer sai vaer eil tyzor ail vaeli, byr sai shi ei shari kyl thys syri o, eil olia o, tylodaes ei saer. Saesi car shael thas sai tes porysi eilaedia, eil ais air caer cadaelol Ai shor vaesylalia mi sai air sar o eisi eir eiraer sai jhaeli." His words were in the ancient Eldar tongue and held barely hidden anger, as well as firmness with his promise.

His piece spoke, he headed for the door, only stopping a moment to return that simple salute to the man who had offered it first. Then he was gone.

[AUGH! I had a huge response to this typed up, hit send, and the modem was blinking...nobody told me the thing ate posts! Here's the short version, because I have an early day at work tomorrow, and this storyline deserves to be treated with respect.]

"Right. Uh-huh. Wha? Now see here...okay. I...think?" Gawain spoke a little Elvish, but he had no idea what Armandeus had just said. He had a feeling he should either be hurt or angry, but there had been enough emotional outburst activity in the place to last him a week, at the least. "Right, well, there you have it. I appreciate everyone having my back, and I am sure De'Ryanna would as well, but any of you who ever met her mother know what we saw here. She's swimming in Air's end of the genetic pool, and I remember what -her- temper was like. It can't have improved since I've been away. I jumped the gun tonight, and could have gotten someone hurt. Go away and meditate on this, I should."

With the look of someone who was extremely preoccupied, Gawain shuffled off toward the door, shucking off his overcoat and everything else until he was out in the hallway, down to a t-shirt, jeans, and boots. He was headed off, and everyone who knew him knew why.

Oh, the t-shirt? It says "My other t-shirt is under your bed".

[Like you didn't see the t-shirt coming....well, okay, if you're new to the character, welcome to Gawain and his t-shirt collection. He has them all, even the one that says "Foxy Grandma". So, be forewarned! And sorry for the OOC, guys. Even I must sometimes fall from mine lofty perch, perchance to converse with yon mortals....Hee. Having fun again.]

In the Meeting Hall - Page 2 Empty Re: In the Meeting Hall

Getting yelled at by De'Ryanna kind of caught her off guard. She was calming down. Good think De'Ryanna was not her daughter instead of the daughter of two of her favorite people in the known universe.

Then Armandeus yelled too. Well, not so much yelled, but still. And yes, De'Ryanna was a spit-fire, most definitely. Venis figured that their business would be continued later. Everyone was walking off. She just chuckled and shook her head. She honestly did not know why De'Ryanna was so mad, Venis had only two jobs in life, well three, and she was doing two of them.

With a sigh she went back to her branches and decorating. "Tash, gimme a hand with this last one." They finished and then headed out. Picking up after the furball along the way.
