She nodded and realized it was getting a bit late out. Getting up she moved to see the sky and looked back to him.

"If you want I can show you tomorrow since it's getting later in the day. Then after that I can show you around some."

She was intuitive enough to realize that he was getting ansy and it was justified. She didn't have too many friends so it was nice to have someone around that wanted to be around her.

"You're welcome to stay here or I can show you how to get back to the inn. I have a guest room and all that and it's safe too."

She shrugged a bit and would let him decide if he wanted to go back to the inn or stick around here. There was still time enough to decide all that.

Speedy started t nod when Kyra said it was gettin' kinda late. He saw her get up an look t see outside b'fore she'd said it tho. He looked 'round an din't see no clock no where's. He thought that was kinda wired, but he din't say nuthin. Both eyebrows shot up tho when she invited him t stay the night. "You sure it's cool? I mean, I don want no jealous man comin through the door wantin t rip me a new one just cuz I stayed the night. Nome sane?" He smiled so she'd know he was half kiddin. After all, she did say spare room. Who'd get pissed 'bout someone bein in the spare room, right?

She laughed a bit and shook her head only actually understanding a little of what he said.

"No it's fine honest."

She decided to leave out the part about the fact that there was no man in her life. Even if there was there was plenty of space in her home for a guest or two.

"Besides there is plenty of room and I don't mind at all. I mean it would beat having to make the trek back to the inn tonight right?"

She would leave it up to him on what he wanted to do. She liked having someone friendly around.

Speedy smiled at her. "It din't seem like that long a walk. But I'm cool with crashin here for the night. It gives us more time t chill and talk." He liked that he was already makin a friend. Who knew how long he'd be 'round these parts. It was good t have someone t hang with.

He din't wanna just sit there quietly though. "So, tell me more 'bout this place. I mean, if I'm as far from home as it seems, I kinda wanna know a lil more 'bout where I be so I can figure shyt out." It made sense t figure things out, in case he was gunna be here a while.

She smiled a little not letting on that she was really excited to have someone around and even more so making a new friend.

"Well I'm not sure what all there is to tell you. It's home really and I'm guessing not like where you come from. There's all types of things here a lot that are dangerous and others that won't hurt you as long as you don't hurt them."

She wasn't exactly sure what all he would want to know but she would surely have to show him around might be easier to do but that would be figured out soon.

Speedy noticed she said things, not peoples. "Ok, so like, when you say things, whatcha mean by that? Cause like, I know that my piece is a thing, an it can hurt ya, but only if I pull the trigger. But I can't hurt it an it hurt me back. So what things here are dangerous? Cause you say things like most peeps say peoples." He was totally confused now. But he was sure she could splain it t him.

She thought a moment and remembered how someone told her once about how there was a land where the creatures she was used to was just a myth and faerie tales. She took a deep breath and started talking more.

"Well you've heard of faerie tales and things about vampires, were-animals and the such right?"

She waited for him to respond before she goes on with her thoughts.

Speedy raised an eyebrow at her. "Yeah, they be like makin monster movies 'bout stuff like that. Vampires, werewolfs, the mummy, Frankenstein's monster. They be like, what they called, fiction. Yeah, fiction. Like sci-fi horror kinda stuff. Why?" Speedy was lookin at her like she was gunna sprout another head or som'thin. What did monsters from the movies have t do with anythin?

She saw how he was looking at her and she was a bit nervous at how he was going to take this news.

"Well umm they are real here. I guess they are not in your world. We have faeries and all sorts of other beings here too."

She was not about to tell him that his new friend was a faerie herself cause she was not too sure how he would react to that. And the way he had looked at her like she was a freak or something.

Speedy blinked at her and kinda looked at her out the corner of his eye.  "Whatchou mean they's real here?  Like the stuff in the movies happens here fo real?"  He was confused.  Not scared or worried or not'in, but he wan't sure what t make a this info.

She bit her lip and nodded to him.  Getting up she got a book of paintings that she collected over the years.


"Well yes they are real"


She put the book out to him to look at that is if he were interested in seeing them.


"I hope that does not freak you out or anything."


She looked at him curiously waiting for his reaction about that.

Speedy took the book an looked at Kyra as he opened it.  The look on his face was kinda a mix b'tween scared an worried, maybe a bit a curious thrown in too.  But when he had the book open t the first page he looked down at it.  "This be paintings."  He turned the page an then looked up at Kyra 'gain.  "Was you pullin my leg?"  He smiled at her.  He thought she was gunna show him some pictures of vampires an stuff.  Anyone could paint anythin.  Though, the dude that gave him the clothes an the coin, he kinda seemed weird t Speedy.  If vampires was real, Speedy'd have t wonder if the guy from the Inn was one.

(Speedy I'm so sorry I haven't gotten you a post.  It's been a bit crazy for me lately.)

She sat down and watched him and tilted her head at him curiously wondering why she would pull his leg or why he would ask given that she was clearly not pulling his leg.

"I  don't even have my hands on you so why would you think I was pulling your leg?  But yes they are paintings of what is in this world."

She had a feeling that he was not believing her or something.

Speedy laughed an shook his head.  "Na chica.  Pullin my leg is a sayin.  Like you kiddin me or somthin."  He was still lookin through the book.  "You ain't gots no pictures or nuthin?  I mean, cause these is paintins, yeah?"  He thought that maybe if she had some pics that it'd be easier t believe what she was sayin.

She bit her lip embarrassed that she did not get his sayings.

"Ohh and no I'm not kidding you or pulling your leg."

She smiled a bit before shaking her head to him questions.

"Hmm pictures..no I don't but I'm sure I can show you some real ones at some point."

She of course meant show him real ones of what was in the painting book.

Speedy sat up straighter an raised both his eyebrows.  "Seriously? Dude, that would be so frickin bad azz."  He was all kindsa happy t hear that shyt.  "You mean, you like know vampirez an shyt?" He couldn't b'lieve her.  He'd heard 'bout these ren faires an stuff, so he thought it was kinda like that or somethin.

She laughed a little thinking he was a bit crazy because most people did not think it was a good thing to know vampires at least she thought he was trying to say it was good.

"I know where to find a few but I'm not so sure if you'd call it knowing them."

She shrugged a little watching him curiously wondering what his world was really like and why he was interested in hers so much.

Speedy thought is was cool though. Course he was still thinkin she meant like people who lived like they was vampires an stuff.  Not the real thing.  "Awesome.  I can't wait."  He was stoked at the idea a meetin new peeps.

He looked at a few mo a the paintins in the book.  "These is good.  You paint em?"  He thought they was pretty nice.  Like they b'longed in a museum or sometin.

Then he had an idea.  He cleared his throat b'fore askin his next question.  "Hey, Kyra ... Is you human?  I mean, it's like totally cool if you ain't.  Well, unless you got me here t eat me or drink my blood or sometin.  Then we gunna have an issue.  But I don think you was thinkin that, was ya?"  He wouldn't have cared what she was so long as she wasn't gunna kill him.

She shook her head to him.

"No I don't paint but kind of wish I did though."

A smile crossed her lips as he continued to look through the book.  But then his question made her smile slowly go away.  She didn't want him to think something weird about her.  But then she couldn't help but laugh a little when he mentioned her drinking his blood.

"No I'm not going to kill you, eat you, or drink your blood.  I don't do that.  And to answer your question no I'm not human."

She took a few breathes and turned a few pages in the book and stopped at faeries.

"I'm a faerie...a fyre faerie to be exact."

She stopped there to see how he was going to react to that news.  While it was normal for her to be around humans and many other creatures; she understood how that was not normal for him.

Speedy looked at Kyra, then back at the book.  He looked back an forth b'tween em for a bit.  "Naa, you's pullin my leg again, aintcha?  You ain't no fairy, you ain't gots no wings."  He laughed softly. Then he went back t lookin at the paintins.

He stopped for a secon and tilted his head t the side.  "Wait.  Can fairies hide there wings like Angels can when they come down from Heaven?"  Of course, he was thinkin 'bout some a the movies he'd seen growin up.  He'd seen movies where Angels hid their wings an it was like they din't had none.  He thought maybe it was like that wit fairies too.

She bit her lip and didn't expect that reaction from him.  Sighing softly she shook her head and looked away for a moment to gather her thoughts and wondered how she could get him to believe her.  Time would do that but she didn't like waiting too much.  Looking up at him she nodded.

"Yes we can and I do it quite often because well...not everyone has been nice to me when I have them out."

She moved closer to the book and turned a few pages.  

"Here this is a faerie in between showing her wings and hiding them.  I at least hope that makes sense."

She took a deep breathe and stood up to show him just what she meant.  This was a first she never showed herself to someone she barely knew but felt he was nice enough and all.

"Somewhere along the line at least what I've been told is one of my parents was a shape shifter/faerie and the other was a full faerie.  So that makes me a shape shifting faerie."

She smiled at her attempt at some humor but not sure how well that worked out.  She stood there in front of him and shifted to show her faerie side.

Speedy looked up at her when she was talkin.  Then back at the book when she was showin him a paintin.  "Not really.  Like she be hidin em, but not hidin em?  I don't get it."  He watched her as she stood up.

His eyes got as big as dinner plates when she showed him her wings.  "Whoa!!"  He stood up all slow like.  "Vaca sagrada, que bella." He started t reach out t touch her wings, but din't.  He was kinda in shock, but not in a bad way.

She was still dressed in the clothes she was in before which consisted of a pair of pants and a blouse but she was now in her faerie form.  She could hide her wings without changing how she looked but sometimes it was necessary to look different for times she crosses paths with those from her old life.  That was a story for another time.  A smile crossed her lips at his expression.

"You can touch them if you want.  It won't hurt me or you for that matter."

She let out a breath glad he wasn't running from her like some have done in the past.

"Now you know what I look like when I am a faerie and when I am walking around as a human.  All I ask is that you don't give away my secret."

Speedy smiled again.  "Yeah?" He stepped a bit closer t her an ran his fingers over her wings gently.  He thought maybe they was all fragile like butterfly wings or somthin.  "Wow.  Yeah, cool.  I ain't gunna tell nobody.  I don even know nobody cept you.  Well, and the peoples I met at the Inn.  Well, kinda."  He shut up b'fore he started t ramble.

He stopped touchin her wings after a secnd or ten, then he smiled.  "So, can you like fly an shyt?  Cause I bet that'd be pretty bad azz."  He din't think fairys was real.  But he thought so now.  Cause it wasn't like she'd left the room t strap on some fake wings or somthin.  So they had t be real.

She giggled as he touched her wings, not that I hurt, it tickled a little.

" Yes I can fly. But I prefer walking."

While her wings were fragile they weren't as fragile as a butterly,

"I'm really glad this isn't scaring you or anything like that. There are much bigger things in this world to fear than me.
