{Note: It's not a closed post, only remember that it's the middle of the night and storming heavily! ^.^}
"I'm not going to let you die simply because you're to stupid enough to live! Now, lay down, and shut the Hell up!"
The sudden flash of lightening through the window pane and the roaring clap of thunder were enough to shake De'Ryanna from her sleep. She had shot up from bed with the palm of her hand pressing hard against her forehead; the other fervently clutching at the soft sheets across her legs. It was the dream again.
She didn't dream anymore, or, actually, had not dreamed since she had been rid of her bond with Benjamin. There had been peace in her mind that had not been there for years, but, in the past two weeks, they had started up again.
Most of the dreams elements vanished once she opened her eyes and all she could remember was a feeling of fear and desperation. She knew that she was searching frantically in the dream for someone. Who? She did not know. Then there was pain, a lot of pain, before she heard herself yell out in the dream. After that, she woke up. Just like now, breathing heavily with her hand pressed against her head and a sheen of cold sweat on her skin.
De'Ryanna's hand was shaking as she drew it down from her head and an ear-splitting crash of lightening caused her to shriek when it came while she climbed out of bed.
It was raining. Of course it was. Blessed rain come to wash away the dream.
"I'm not going to let you die.....!" Those words echoed in her mind as she methodically slipped her arms into her long, pink satin robe and tied it off at the waist.
She left her hair to hang as it would, only running a hand through it once, and that was more for her nerves than conscientious styling. Though there were no windows in her room the sound of the rain beating down on the Inn's roof did not escape her ears.
The room door pulled open and she stepped out, fingers trailing on the knob to ease the door to a close behind her. Padding barefoot down the hallway she thought hard about the elements of the dream she could remember. One thing stood out to her: by the tone of her voice in the dialogue, the person she spoke to was male. It had to be for she didn't know of any females she would apply the term 'stupid' too - except for maybe one - and it would extract the same type of feeling she had felt in the dream.
Who could it be, and what did it mean? Those were two questions that she couldn't pin down and continued to think about as she descended the steps on her way to the main floor. "I'm not going to let you die....!" Even though she never saw her face in the dream, she could almost swear that there would be tears in her eyes at that point.
She knew that death came for everyone, but this person, it was though she couldn't bare to loose them. Taught to not get deeply involved in feeling for anyone, realizing that she had, was almost as frightening as the dream itself. It hit at her as hard as the rain hit the ground outside but, try as she could, at the moment she could not put a name or face to the person.
Standing now at the front door she placed one hand against it while the other griped closed the neckline of the robe. Drawing a steady breath she opened the door and stepped out into the night.
As the storm was blowing hard she was nearly drenched as soon as she left what little shelter the porch afforded from the rain and wind to take the few steps which lead to the ground. She didn't care. While normally being seen in such a state of undress she would think criminal, currently she was comforted. Having something hitting against her that she could actually feel and know was real told her mind that she wasn't dreaming anymore. This was real. This was more than a few thoughts and feelings strung together in the confusion of the dreamworld.
She would stay out here in the rain - telling herself that it would only be for a while - before going back in and becoming decent before the dawn. However, as she sat down on the ground, in the dirt, in the corner between the staircase and the nearby bush, drawing her knees to her chest, arms around her legs and head bowed, going to sleep didn't seem like such a bad idea either.

Re: • Thunder and Rain •
Benevolence had been out searching for another when he happened upon the road nearest the Inn. His short, spiked, blonde hair was soaked, and his hair gel had already washed away. He payed no mind to the storm as thunder and lightning always seemed to bring him an inner peace that he had been missing for over a hundred years.
He wore a large black duster over his too tight black denim jeans. The shirt that peeked from the top where the buttons were not done to the top was a simple white button down, western style shirt. Except it was unbuttoned to show the flamboyant colored T-shirt underneath. A pair of brown 'cowboy' styled boots covered his feet. They were not his usual foot ware, but it was raining and he had a dislike of soggy feet.
He walked slowly, as if he had a purpose, which he did. He was listening. Below the sounds of the falling rain and the claps of thunder, there was the sounds of life. Small animals scurrying for shelter from the storm. An owl up in a tree trying to settle into his feathers and shaking the rain from them. And up ahead in the distance, what was this, a whole new sound of life.
Silent, steady footsteps carried Benevolence towards the hushed sounds of a female walking on wood. She wore no slippers upon her feet. She had descended the steps and had placed those delicate feet upon the ground. Yes, his hearing was that good. It had been something that had made him appealing to she who had created him. And his hearing had only improved after death.
It is said that all gain power from those who create them. Those who's power gave them the strength to raise in the night. She had been generous with her power, as she had new and different powers to spare. It came from what she had been before her own death and rebirth. So the things that Benevolence had that made him appealing to her had become enhanced with her power. So again, yes, his hearing is that good.
His steps brought him to rest at the base of those stairs where he stood before the huddled female upon the ground. A soft baritone of vocal harmony left his parted lips as he gazed upon her petite form. "You'll catch your death of cold in this storm." He knew what she was, but he spoke the words regardless. It was an attempt at humor, something he rarely partook of.

Re: • Thunder and Rain •
While the growling rumble of thunder and the bright flash of lightning brought peace and calm to the others that happened to be out at the late hour. To one it brought an entirely different set of emotions. Feelings that seemed to have almost been lost to the one whom was feeling them. Rodry had managed to get onto the roof, though the means weren't immediately obvious. Having managed to even make his way to the highest point of the slanted trecherous tiles in order to feel the storms embrace more readily. One hand gripped the weathervane at the Inn's apex in a tenacious hold, while the other held his cane. Looking for all the world no doubt as if the batty old fellow had finally decided to stop putting up with the rigors of age and to end it all ... yet it couldn't be further than how he felt.
Even as he stood there he could feel the rain water that soaked his hair trickling down the back of his collar, the rain had pooled in the faintly sunken depth's of his eyesockets, lids closed though they failed to hide the dazzling streaks of lightning that called to a part of his very soul that had felt dead for so long as to have been almost forgotten. There was a longing other than for simple health, to be able to live comfortably. Rodry Pol wanted so much more. The remembered sensation of lightning running across his very skin, of calling out to the storm to demand it's response. Oh how he remembered the glorious heat lightining storms of the coast and their wonderously liberating spirits. The exhiliartion of dancing with the lightning itself and letting it lick it's way up his neck, along his legs. The tender warmth of it's almost affectionate tickle along his underside. Oh how these things were missed.
If Rodry hadn't been ignorant of De'Ryanna emerging from the inn, he would have probably not been up there for the coat-clad fellow who was approaching the inn. Though who knew if his ears were sensitive enough to pick up on the low, husky breathing of the old male who was perched on the roof of the inn. Certainly his scent wouldn't draw attention. After all, during a storm such as this one the smell of ozone was strong in the air. Even if his scent was no doubt being torn up as well as away on the wind that was trying to whip the leather robe he was wearing. Though it was admittedly more of the old style of overcoat than of the bath variety!
Had it not been for Benevolence's baritone spoken between thunderous peals, Rodry might have remained ignorant of yet another who was approaching. Though while his senses were not yet to the level that they had once been in his glory days, they were more than sensitive enough to pick up on the spoken words. Though perhaps it was what was actually said that had him shifting his cane to the hand that had been holding the weathervane. To hook it's crook over the iron protrusion in order to lean over the edge of the roof, in order to look down upon the entry way. His hood was thrown back, otherwise he might have looked too much like the spectre of death himself to be answered when he spoke! Though his voice was raised a bit more loudly than the other fellow's had been.
"Hail the Walker! Didn't quite catch that?"
A lie, but a believable one to say the least. For the wrinkled face that looked down at the man and the bright blot of pink cloth and darker hue hair was illuminated by a distant lightning flash. Even if the lightning's glow seemed to fade far more slowly from Rodry's eyes!
He wasn't silhouetted on the rooftop for too long though. For he was soon headed down after realizing that it would probably be best for him not to be up there too much longer, especially if he was going to be conversing with someone!

How could anyone seek to find peace and serenity - especially enough that they could drift off to sleep - sitting outside, getting drenched in a torrential storm, was anyone's guess. De'Ryanna had managed to do so, though. Even if she had not drifted into a full fledged sleep, the doze was just enough to give her body more rest than it had been receiving upstairs in her bed. While she may have been considered sleep in her curled state there on the ground, her senses were awake.
The high winds and rain may have masked Rodry's scent from her noise but her ears picked up the sound of footsteps that were drawing nearer to the Inn. She thought, vainly perhaps, that the male - surely it was a guy for the had a certain masculine pattern in their walk - would pass by and continue on his way. Leave her to the huddled position between the wall, steps, and brush, but this was not the case.
His oncoming approach pulled a low and cautionary growl from within the throat of the dozing one as she slowly started to awake. It was bad enough that someone was approaching her in this current state of undress - undoubtedly she was soaked to the core by now and pink was not a masking color when wet as such - but he had to criticize her being there? What exactly was he doing out in weather like this?
By the time that he stopped near her De'Ryanna had lifted her head from her knees just enough that red rimmed eyes pierced at him from over her folded arms. Rain batted away by blinks to clear her vision. "Carry on, less lightening plays the part of the sun." In spite of her mouth still being hidden, the words were clearly spoken.
Thus, the sound of another was heard, slightly further in position but closer all the same. She recognized it as Rodry's voice even if she was not taking her eyes from the man in front of her to confirm it. The presence of another - especially that of a male - caused the growling to reverberate once more in her throat.

Benevolence snickered at the woman's words. Was she seriously threatening him with lightning? The scent of the man atop the roof had been better masked than one would think. His scent would have been carried by the wind, upon his body heat. But body heat rises. There was a faint hint of him, but it was so faint, that it seemed to be much farther away than the roof top.
His attention had remained on the woman, even as her tired looking eyes rose to set upon him. He couldn't mask his grin at seeing her. Though, his eyes never made full contact with hers. He saw the redness, but his gaze had stopped and then diverted from there. He focused, instead, on her forehead. A forehead was always a safe place to look upon a person.
He heard the voice of the man upon the roof as he was unbuttoning his coat. He looked up and it was indeed as if he had gazed upon Father Death himself. Which caused a moment of worry in the vampire. After all, there was a God of Death within Rhy'Din, a few of them if one would check the public records. But one of them was married to the very woman that he was hiding his presence from. And if her husband found him, all the hiding would have been wasted.
A blink and a readjustment to his vision and he realized it had not been what he had first thought. Relief spread through him like wild fire. He began to move again without realizing he had stopped. He was taking off the coat, but as he did he spoke, his volume slightly elevated as the man had stated that he did not hear him clearly. "Hail fellow, well met. Are you in need of assistance for your decent from your perch on high?" Because it looked like the man had started to move.
He looked back to the woman while he waited to hear what the man had to say. He opened his coat and moved so he could place it over her shoulders. "That is the second time you have growled since I walked up. Calm down, I never meant to raise your fur. I mean you no harm. I simply thought you to be without shelter and in need of a room within this Inn or something. I was going to offer to pay for you a nights stay. I was just passing by in my search for my brother." Stated as true fact.
He hesitated before laying the coat over her shoulders. "This should protect your virtue from the prying eyes of myself and the other male. And if you wish to remain where you sit, than so be it. You could hold the coat until we meet again." Because he was pretty sure their paths would cross again someday. And if it was privacy she wanted, he could lead the other male away from her so they could converse and leave her in peace. After all, the man would not be coming down if he did not want to at least speak to Benevolence for a moment, would he?

Rodry had once considered himself a fine hunter and the mechanics of tracking was something that he understood intimately. Part of why he had felt he was safely hidden upon the roof from even those of above average senses for tracking. All he really wondered about was waking whomever resided in the room below his stomping feet! Honestly he would have probably stayed out of their business all the same had he not felt so ... enlivened by the furious power of the storm railing in the skies above. So it had been with an almost childlike exuberance that he had made contact with the others who were out in the glorious storm with him!
There were no worries about him being married to anyone, for while Rodry had felt he had met the right female to settle down with once or twice ... things just never seemed to work out quite the way that he felt they should have. Perhaps it was the difference in their outlooks or something of that nature. Rodry couldn't be bothered to reflect on whatever inner imperfections that had marked him as lacking in whatever way.
"No no. Don't trouble yourself. I shall be down forthwith."
No, there was no dramatic drop to the ground or fancy flipping from eave to eave. The old fellow slid somewhat haphazardly along the rooftiles on his way to one of the ledges that let him descend from the highest point on the roof to one of the lowest in a few moments. Long enough that De'Ryanna could possibly be enveloped in a cloak rather than left only in her robe still! Once on the lowest teir of roofing he was making his way quickly to one side of the inn, where a ladder had been placed in order to assist with his ascent. Luckily no one had been out and thought to remove it!
It didn't take him long to traverse the outer perimeter of the inn. Not long at all really. So that when he rounded the corner that brought Benevolence back into view, as well as the front of the inn, unless De'Ryanna had risen to her feet she would still be protected by the shielding mass of the stairs and bushes. Rodry offered a brief smile to the fellow, looking like he had been caught with his hand in the cookie jar, or the muffin pan if one would recall.
"I didn't expect anyone would be out to be concerned over my health. However I thank you, Stranger. If you are looking for lodgings I believe we still have a few empty rooms if you care to stay the night inside rather than cold and soaked to the bones."
De'Ryanna knew that Rodry was harmless enough, not to mention that he was old enough in appearance that any compromising of her virtue would likely cause the old codger to have a heart attack than provoke any untoward behavior from him!

Stating that he didn't mean to ruffle her fur was not the way to go about getting her to be nice towards him in any way. She could many civility, but nice was a bit beyond her scope at the moment - even if he was trying to offer her some type of covering his words and actions only resulted in another rumble from her throat.
At the moment she had no fur to be ruffled and wouldn't if she had any say in the matter.
He was offering her his coat, but she didn't want it, and flicked her hand up from it's curled position around her leg to keep it from her shoulders. "It would serve you better to keep your wet coat and your offers to yourself."
When he made mention of another person in the area she looked up, for she didn't see anyone behind him. Who else was here and why were their people traipsing about at this hour and in the storm a though it were a fine Spring day? Though, she supposed, all had their reasons the same as she. The person she took note of was none other than Rodry, even though he was looking rather 'other worldly' she could pick out his scent, which was now picking at the air as he came closer.
But, what was she going to do? She could choose to stay there, where she was, and have Rodry think this man talking to himself, though eventually he would see her and it would seem that she was hiding. That was something she couldn't have. Therefore, she put her hands to her side and her jaw set in one of her defiant locks as she tipped up her chin. Then, wet robe clinging to her like a second skin and showing off some of her finer parts that would be hidden if the fabric were not thin, she rose slowly and gracefully to her feet.
"If you're looking for your brother then you should about it. Obviously it must be of some great importance for you to come out like this." In other words, he shouldn't waste time on trying to help those he believed to be vagabond and her words were clear despite the wind and rain. If she was uncomfortable in her appearance then it did not show outwardly, Ryanna's facial mask was as cool as the rain.
Head turned to look toward Rodry's approach. "Rodry, perhaps it would be good if you saw to this man's needs. My fingers keep itching for a cross." It was said with a slight narrowing of her eyes as she stepped forward with intentions of moving past him. With his position she would have to brush past him or climb over the wall, and the second was most defiantly not an option.

Re: • Thunder and Rain •
Benevolence had almost let the coat fall upon her shoulders before she stopped him with a wave of her hand. As it was, when he stopped in his movements, gravity took care of the bottom of the coat. It no longer was fanning out around her with the winds of inertia under it. So the base of the coat would graze across her back as he moved to draw the coat back to himself.
He folded the coat over his arm. A look up to the man who was speaking as he was descending the roof. Nothing was said in response to his request for Benevolence to not bother himself. He felt there was not need of a response. But the female on the other hand. Her comment required a response, and one with a slightly sarcastic tone would be the way he went with it. "Well Eexcccuusseeee me. Try to show a moments kindness to a stranger and they bark at you for it. Didn't realize you were in heat your bitchyness." And what a smirk to form upon his face after such words.
The man from the rooftop came into view. He spoke of Benevolence's concern for his health. The comment had been intended for the female, but Benevolence let that fact slide. "Happy to see you made it down in one piece in this storm good sir. With things being this wet, it must have been a slippery adventure. But I believe I shall pass on the invitation to stay, thank you anyway." It was then that one of the few reason's for his declining the invitation rose to her feet.
She spoke of his search for his brother, and how he should get on with it. This gave Benevolence an opening to give a reason for not staying other than the woman had been bitchy towards him and had made him feel unwelcome. "As you have just heard, I am in search of my brother. He was to be in this area and has failed to check in in a timely manner. So I have been pulled from my task to search him out and inquire of him as to why he has been so neglectful." A couple of steps taken to allow the woman to pass without making contact with him. He did not share his brothers affinity for the furry. He didn't have a dislike of them, but he didn't have a fondness for them either. Unlike his brother, while it was fine to be around them or offer them kindness, he would never bed one.
The comment of itching for a cross caused an audible scoff from the throat of Benevolence. He had only offered her kindness and she wished him dead for it. "Now isn't that just like a broad? You try to be nice and they get all PMSey and threaten your life. Women, can't live with 'em, can't kill 'em." Well, you could, if you were the right person and it was the right time and the right reason was there. But that was not a part of this discussion. And Benevolence had taken his rather out of character kindness one step further by not revealing to this man that the woman was a moon child. Just in case he didn't know and she didn't want him to.
Steps were taken towards the man, in which ever way it could be done while avoiding contact with the female. "Names Benevolence. Friends call me Nevol." Hand offered for a shake. "You wouldn't happen to have seen a man around here, six three, brown skin, slight accent, goes by Sacher Masoch?" He thought that perhaps if this man spent time on the roof he might have seen him in passing, or maybe had even seen him within the Inn. This was the area Sacher was to cover in their operation. So this was the area Benevolence had come to searching for him.

Re: • Thunder and Rain •
Surprisingly enough, the thought of actually falling from the roof had never crossed Rodry's mind! While he was feeling more like himself than he had in ages, there was no desire to hurl himself off of the roof as he might have if he were in 'peak condition'. The journey down was entirely uneventful and it wasn't until he had rounded the corner that his cane was given a little more than cursory weight to support. While he was trusting, Rodry knew the value of sometimes being believed weaker than you truly were. Even if the 'illusion' of frailty was far from perfect. He had just been on the roof a few moments ago, after all.
Rodry's scent had retained enough of it's markers, the scent of his possessions mostly, to be recognized. Yet there was also a fresher scent, the smell of impending death did not hang around him with miasmic heaviness, nor was the pronounced stench of blood heavy on his breath as it was during their first meeting. Probably a good thing considering the newcomers apparent ... tendencies. Something that he hadn't yet been tipped off to, though his ignorance would be short lived considering De'Ryanna's comment!
"Oh even the most slippery terrain can be conquered with the proper choice of footwear, I would suggest that you stay off of the tile with those."
Western boots such as those Benevolence happened to be wearing weren't exactly known for their wonderful grip. Rodry didn't bother pointing out that a lack of footwear on his part was more the purpose for his confidence in scaling the roof! When De'Ryanna finally stood, the movement drew his eye. Despite being wet, the eye-scorching pink of her robe had hardly diminished. De'Ryanna seemed to be out in the storm as well? Though quite suddenly he was feeling embarrassed. Not because of the fact that De'Ryanna's robe was clinging to her like a second skin, no.
Quite suddenly Rodry was wondering what he had possibly interrupted, considering positioning the time of night and the obscuring spot that she had been in! Luckily the rain did well to cool his face before the flush could get too bad! Though from the sudden shift in tone, both of his thoughts and Benevolence's derogatory tone...
Thank god he hadn't stumbled on a lovers tryst out in the storm, it would certainly teach him to mind his own business when out at night if he had! Rodry's hand had subconsciously risen high on his forearm. Gloved hand briefly squeezing that scabby wound beneath the leather. Considering his last encounter with De'Ryanna, Rodry shifted a few paces to one side that way he wasn't on the far side of Benevolence from her!
"Well if you are searching here for your brother I suppose checking the ledger would be a wise start. Though, just a tip, women don't tend to ... enjoy ... snide remarks and references."
Honestly seemed like Blondie was trying to be pointedly offensive, calling Ryan a broad and quoting hormones as being the root of her animosity. Though her comment about a cross had him glancing at Benevolence ... a cross? Oh! Oh ... Vampire. A brief nod given to De'Ryanna in thanks for that little 'tip'. Though Rodry did offer his hand for shaking soon after.
"...Rodry Pol is my name. Though I believe I would recall a dark skinned vampire. I don't remember ever seeing one around here, nor anyone by the name of Sacher Masoch. Sorry."
Rodry hadn't had the pleasure of meeting Sacher just yet, otherwise he would have been far more helpful. Though there was always of course the ledger to look through. The hand that had slipped from the shake afterwards lifted to lightly touch the fellows shoulder. Rodry was tall, more than six feet especially when he was standing straight as he was now. A light pressure exerted to try and lead the fellow towards the door.
"Come, it is probably best that we speak inside. Don't you think then we can converse while checking to see if your 'brother' is roomed here."
De'Ryanna seemed ... miffed to say the least. For which he couldn't really blame her, if Benevolence had been being as rude to her as he seemed to have been being when Rodry walked up... Honestly he had to wonder if the vampire were sexist or something, he had been perfectly civil with Rodry!
It would really depend on the vampires decision on where they would go from here. Maybe he would get lucky and Ryan would decide to throw him a bone about Sacher, even if Nevol had seemed to have offended her!

Over half of the Rhy'din male population was automatically 'nice' and another percent of them were emotional and clingy . She, for one, was not one of those females who looked for a guy to take care of her so much of the frustration - on her part - came from him automatically assuming that she needed help.
Perhaps it was fortunate for the two of them, then, that Rodry was there. If anything he could work as a mediator an keep the pair from going at each others throats. It was also fortunate that the man didn't bother in trying to bar her passage and, as she moved to go around him, De'Ryanna paid special attention to not let any part of her brush up against him. The thing he said about not being able to live with them and not being able to kill them didn't make any sense to her. They could be killed the same as men. Must have been a personal thing since this was one of the 'nice' men in Rhy'din.
"Clearly you're heard of hearing," she spoke over her shoulder, not bothering to turn and talk to him as her destination was up the porch steps and into the Inn. "I said to be about it. 'It' being your way. Sacher is not a resident of this Inn." He could have come by recently but it wasn't her habit to be a keeper of a grown man.
At the porch she entreated Rodry with a small nod of her head in greeting, "Rodry," before opening the front door. She would be sure not to drench the floorboards with the water that was attached to her, if they did happen to follow in they would see where she stepped the floor stayed dry.
Then again, if they wanted to check the book the could, but she was going inside and away from the male unless necessary.

Benevolence chuckled lightly, and it was a good laugh. "Ah yes, I do believe I shall be keeping both feet planted on solid ground this night less I fell to my untimely death by landing upon some random wooden stake left pointing up from the ground." A wink given because he was still intentionally trying to bait the woman. After all, she had started the pissing contest to see who was the bigger bitch, yes?
He watched as the woman moved past him, making sure to get an eyeful of every inch of her that could be seen through the robe and gown. This too was intentional. For he knew she would most likely feel his eyes upon her luscious curves. Another chuckle was given. "Well, said women should go back to school and relearn the golden rule. Do unto others as you would have done unto you. Words to live by I say." And then he looked back at the man.
He took the gentle pressure upon his shoulder to be exactly what it was, a hint to move towards the building. "Yes, perhaps the ledger will tell us if he has taken a room as of yet. And it would be better to converse without the pounding rain and the crackling thunder to drown out our words." But then he noticed she was headed inside as well.
Her words stopped his forward momentum. "Ahh, more's the pity, it seems I have over stayed my welcome. I am sorry to hear that you have not met my brother, though I am sure that someone around this area has come across him." No, he did not miss the way she referred to Sacher. She did not say that there was no Sacher at this Inn. She said that Sacher was not at this Inn. Which Nevol took to mean that she knew him well enough to know he was not here.
He smiled at the man who was Slightly taller than he. "Perhaps another time. It seems that the woman thinks she knows who is here and who is not. And who am I to doubt her? So I believe I shall be on my way. But it was a pleasure meeting you Rodry Pol, until we meet again." Another hand shake offered before turning to the woman entering the Inn. "M'Lady." A slight bow to accompany his one word farewell to the woman. "Fare the well Rodry." And a slight bend of the waist to him as well before he turned to take his leave and return to his task.

Rodry might of course be categorized into the 'nice' half of the Rhy'Dinian population. Though that was probably because few had ever seen him when he was feeling anything other than pleasant. The unknown danger of riling Rodry was unfortunately well hidden from the general population! The news that Nevol would attribute De'Ryanna with the desire to frame unfortunate circumstance as an opportunity to stake the vampire merely left him raising a brow.
He knew first hand that De'Ryanna didn't seem to have any particular compulsion to resist doing what she wanted. Even if it involved harming another being. Especially if they happened to be merely trying to test the quality of a bit of baking that had been left within convenient pilfering distance of a window...
Rodry could only imagine her behavior towards one who was deliberately insulting her!
"It would certainly be an unfortunate act of circumstance if such were to happen..."
The fact that Nevol was the type to tout equal treatment simply because it gave him an excuse to be rude without any plucking of conscience left the older male grimacing. Though that lecherous stare was responded to quickly. Perhaps the vampires distraction would be enough that the firm thwack of Rodry's cane atop his blond head would come as a surprise! Rather than being noticed before the 'attack' had landed. Rodry knew that Vampire's could be quick as well as moody ... however Benevolence was far from the first vampire he had encountered. It seemed that poor Benevolence had bumped into one of the few people in the world that didn't think it polite or appropriate to ogle those of the fairer sex in the way he had been! In addition to having the gumption to do something about it!
"Listen here, there's no call for you to be intentionally rude to a young woman no matter the cause. Shame on you especially considering your being a vampire. You should act your age and be the gentleman. It's offensive that you would be polite to me while being rude to her. Show some respect, for the Lady and someone who appears to be your Elder."
Regardless to if De'Ryanna was proving difficult. It was the measure of a gentleman, how long he could remain civil in the face of challenge! The fact that Benevolence could be so polite to Rodry and then so very rude to her was more than just offensive. It was downright perverse!
"Though I know not what drove you into the rain dressed for bed as you are De'Ryanna, I would expect that you too would behave yourself more befitting your age."
Frowning fiercely at her retreating form, though his cane remained on the ground. She would just get a stern talking to, since she was at least being as dignified as she could. Unlike Benevolence however, Rodry's eyes did not feast upon the buffet of curves that De'Ryanna unintentionally presented. Rodry had mounted the steps to follow her inside as well as to lead the vampire to the ledger so that they could double check for Sacher.
Though upon hearing that Nevol would apparently not be accompanying him inside, he offered a slow nod. Part of him was regretful that the fellow would leave without checking the ledger, while the other had found it annoying that he was left lecturing two people who appeared old enough to settle their own differences. The old fellow was civil enough to offer his own half bow to the vampire since he had been being polite to him. Even if he didn't agree with his treatment of the other person who had been out in the storm!
For there certainly had to be some reason that De'Ryanna had ventured into the weather outside.
"I wish you luck on your quest searching for your brother Benevolence. You are welcome to return, though hopefully on better terms and more fortunate circumstances."
Hopefully he wouldn't cause too much unrest if he did return! The fellow seemed personable enough even if they had gotten off on the wrong foot.

Although she was walking into the Inn there was nothing wrong with her hearing and she heard what the two of them had said. Pausing just inside of the threshold of the door she took a moment to wring out her hair while she spoke, "Civility would be warranted if that male had not gone out of his way to disturb my peace." Thought she needed help indeed. Any sensible person would have thought that someone, sleeping - or at least dozing - in the in the quiet corner shadows, did not want to be disturbed.
Normally she wouldn't enter into the Inn dripping wet as she was but, at the moment, the state of her was neither here or there. A quick shake of her hands at her side as she began, again, inside. "Hot drinks, and a fire, are in the Common Room." Which was in the bar area in case Rodry did not know. The comment was directed to him as she assumed the other male would leave like he said. "Wouldn't want you meeting Death sooner than anticipated."
How was that for a bit of 'acting her age'? It was meant to be nice despite how she phrased it.
De'Ryanna did not look back at either of them and, even though her feet were wet, they did not make much noise as she went.

Re: • Thunder and Rain •
Benevolence had been distracted just enough by the female to not see the thwack from the cane coming. But he most definitely felt it upon impact. *crack* And he ducked away from the impact due to pure reflex. "Hey!" The only word that spilled from his lips in response. But that one action by the other man was enough to jar a memory from a time long past.
*Smack* The long fingers made contact with the back of Nevol's head. "Do not let me ever see or hear of you treating her that way again. You will respect her as you would respect me. She is female, and more importantly, she is your superior. Unless the woman is prey, you treat her like a lady. Do I make myself perfectly clear here?" Words spoken at an elevated level lest someone not hear the proclamation.
Those words were as good as law. As were all rules and regulations laid out by she who had created him. For she had created them all, and they owed their existence to her. It was her power that brought them to rise every night. And no one ever dared defy her. For if they did, she would end them as quickly as she created them.
The memory came and went in the span of time that it took for Nevol to right himself after recoiling from the hit. Left hand moved to rub the top of his head. Most of his brothers would have been angered by the attack, but Nevol fancied himself of a higher class than his brethren. After all, he was one of the first. That mattered to him.
He heard the words the woman spoke. As well, he heard the words Rodry spoke. He nodded to Rodry in silence as he listened. "You're right. I do owe the lady an apology." He turned to see that she had entered the building. He looked back at Rodry and smiled. "Perhaps my search for my brother can wait a short time?" He had heard her mention a fire inside, and he was a little wetter than he had been upon arrival. Of course, that was due to his removal of his coat.
He motioned with a sweep of his hand for Rodry to feel free to lead them into the Inn. His hope was that they would enter close enough behind the female that he could offer his most sincere of apologies. After all, he might not have been going out of his way, and it might not have been his intention to disrupt her peace, but her curtness did not justify his pissy attitude for lack of a better term.

Rodry hadn't been trying to brain the fellow, just give him a nice bracing 'thwap' that would work wonders at drawing his rudely wandering gaze. Something that he had grown to tolerate less and less as time had gone on in his life. The sudden jerk and the mans exclamation were both rewarding, since he imagined it would be more than enough to jar him from his daydream about De'Ryanna's curvature. Who he was speaking up after as she headed inside.
"I don't know if that was the intention, but I wouldn't expect many to head into a storm for some peace."
Little did the wrinkled fellow know that he had apparently jump started Benevolence's memories of a rather important conversation that was in line with what he himself happened to be saying! The cane had returned to the ground in order to assist him upwards and towards the door. Allowing Nevol to make his own decision. Though the rather sudden reversal of his choice surprised Rodry. It seemed that Nevol had taken his words to heart, rather than shrugging them off. Most curious! Yet at the same time, Nevol could probably see the shrewd look in the old mans eyes as he moved up the steps in De'Ryanna's wake.
Now what made the vampire suddenly decide to grow up? I couldn't have knocked that much loose in his head, could I?
"Thank you Ryanna, perhaps I shall meet you there shortly? I would enjoy a bit of a chat."
Her wording was far from civil, though he didn't bother pointing such out. If she was going to play at being threatening with him she was going to have to do better than make a snide comment. Rodry had dealt with too many who were willing to draw blood before commenting to let a bit of talk rile him up. Besides, after meeting De'Ryanna 'properly' he expected that if she wanted to be threatening she wouldn't just try and make such a 'vague' comment!
Which left Rodry with his index finger drumming against it's resting spot upon the haft of his cane. It wouldn't be the first time Rodry had managed to literally knock some sense into someone, but he hadn't expected to do such a thing again before his death. Perhaps the temporary cure wasn't proving so very temporary if he was knocking a vampire into an agreeable delirium!
"I suppose that it can, however, I shall warn you that I do not take kindly to someone trying to play shell-games with me. So if you think to play nice only to be nasty after being invited inside, I warn you against it now."
Rodry had stopped and turned about, letting both hands rest atop his cane, leather gloves creaking faintly with tightening grip as he stood in the doorway. During the delivery, his gaze had been firm and unwavering. Vigilant and searching for any sign of duplicity, which would of course leave Rodry blocking the vampires Passage until he was satisfied that Nevol was being truly sincire!

Though she was inside she could still hear the two males talking outside and, at hearing what Benevolence said -as he stated, only friends called him Nevol and she had no current intention of being put in that grouping - her lips pressed into a straight line. There was nothing stopping the Vampire from coming into the Inn if he wanted. As it was a public place - at least until it came to the individual rooms of the patrons- he did not need an invitation to step inside.
She continued on with what she was doing - getting the warm drinks ready.
Things in the bar area were cleaned up from earlier that night, Armandeus made sure that the kitchen was clean before he went off and closed it down. However, she hadn't offered them anything that could not be made right there behind the bar. By the time she placed herself behind the counter the kettle was already hot with water so she bent down and retrieved the box of assorted teas. A simple polished wooden rectangular box with a copper clasp to keep it closed. She opened this and set it upon the bars counter along with a small bowl of sugar cubes, lemon slices and a jar of honey and cream. In case Rodry had other taste she also set out a small tin of ground coffee beans. All of the items were nicely arranged, as they someone set them up to take a still life. Call it a flaw, call it a quirk, De'Ryanna always set things out for the sake of presentation. The other item on the bar was an arranged bowl of assorted fruit.
Once this was one she turned her back to the common rooms entryway and began to work on herself - she did not have a change of clothes within the kitchen and, if she left to go to her room, she wouldn't return. If the two of them approached before she was done - which was highly likely - they would see the robe she wore drying, the water literally being pulled from the fabric to leave it as dry as it was when she had first put it on. No sound of dripping water but, if happened to get the right angle to see around to the side of her, they'd see a ball of water was forming in front of her, even as her hands were busy putting her hair into a single braid. That, too, was drying.
At least now neither of the men would have to worry about seeing her in a wet robe.

Benevolence noticed how Rodry had started to lead the way, but then stopped. A grin pulled at the corners of his lips before he spoke. "A wise man you are Rodry. But I assure you, on my honor, nae, on my hide, my only intentions with entering are to apologize to the lady, and dry of a little." The smile was gone from his lips as he spoke. He was being honest.
He ascended the few steps that lead to the porch. He stood upon the porch as he waited to see if the man was going to allow him to enter. It took a smart man to think about the vampires intentions before allowing him to pass. Most people would have taken him at his word on first glance. Nevol was impressed to say the least.

While the fellow might have done his best to look honest, Rodry did not depend on only his eyesight to tip him off on how honest the vampire was being. Nostrils flared subtly, tongue even brushed his lips as if in thought. It truly looked as if the old man was going to bar the vampire entry for a few moments before he was offering a subtle dip of his chin.
"Do not confuse an old man's peculiarities for wisdom. Trust is a commodity I was far too free with in my youth, I would like to think I have learned my lesson. Please do come in."
Rodry stepped aside, his free hand holding the door open for Benevolence. Trusting him to keep his word or not, being at Nevols back was a strategic decision. One that the cane wielding old fellow would take advantage of if the need arose. Though hopefully Benevolence was as honest as he had appeared and wouldn't require Rodry to try and intervene.
How did that saying go? Whack a vampire once, your in for a nibble, whack a vampire twice your due for a bite? Rodry directed Benevolence to the common room with a muttered direction at the proper turning, following in after him. Rodry would be glad to settle into a chair by the fire after he had something hot to drink to warm his hands and insides. The richness of scents that greeted him made it clear that De'Ryanna had apparently decided to not simply put on a pot of tea and be done with it.
So apparently, either his quick scolding had been enough to straighten both of them out, or she was just making a point to not allow the vampire's rudeness and intrusion to ruin her evening. Either way it said much of her character that she hadn't run back to her room. Even if changing might have served her well to protect her from any further perusal by Benevolences lecherous eye!
Curious however, was the cadence of Rodry's step. Subtle enough that a human would have no doubt missed it, the supernaturals however commanded far stronger senses. While there was that predominant triple thump of cane and the heels of his feet, there also happened to be several light clicks against the polished wood flooring. It gave each of his footsteps a light stuttering sound. Strange to say the least, though one couldn't get a good look with the floor sweeping robe he was wearing. One actually meant for outdoor use, unlike De'Ryanna's!
Though of course, she had a way of drawing attention. Her use of magic to dry herself left his lip curling faintly, well that was something that one didn't see everyday! That orb of water drew the eye with it's wavering shape and refracted light. Rodry chose not to comment, simply following on Benevolences heels, unless of course he decided to not head directly for the bar... in which case he would be headed to get himself a cup for some tea! Getting a mug and selectively harvesting his choice of leaves from the small box that Ryanna had provided.
"Thank you for being such a gracious hostess De'Ryanna. Though, I am surprised to see that there isn't a muffin or bun to be seen."
Offering a hint of a smile while he packed the tea ball with his choice of leaves.

Hearing the two enter did nothing to disrupt her from drying off, why would it? Though, the slight difference in what she expected to hear upon the wooden floor did cause a bit of a curious lift in her brows, even as her back was still turned. The water ball continued to collect water but it's shape didn't exceed that of a standard baseball and, when she was done, that ball deposited itself into the sink and dispersed.
De'Ryanna followed Rodry with her eyes as he collected a mug and started about his tea. She turned fully around then and placed her hands upon the edge of the countertop. "I had said drinks and a fire but, if you require something more, it will not be much of an inconvenience as I'm sure dough is setting to rise in the kitchen."
Make the dough by hand and have it set for a few hours so it would be ready come breakfast time.
Although she would call her face a fine un-telling mask of emotions and thoughts, others would know better and she was still rather young. The weariness brought on by mental strain laid right at the corners of her eyes, easy to pick out for those who knew now that she was in the light.
"Why has he chosen to come?" The question asked as she pushed from the counter to bend down behind it, moving bottles and vials out of the way. "He had said he was moving on."
Standing, she placed upon the bar a silver one liter container closed with a twisted lid. The object was specially designed to keep the contents fresh for up to three days. Inside this container was blood. Not blood wine or a fabricated substitute, but fresh, quality, human blood.
"That, is for you," those words obviously directed to Benevolence, De'Ryanna even motioned towards it while looking at him. Then she traded glances between both men before taking a look to the floor for a moment and, without a word, entered into the kitchen.
It was only a minute or two later that she returned with two tan colored dish towels that she then sat on the counter.
"Needless to say, you should consider drying off."

Re: • Thunder and Rain •
Benevolence nodded to Rodry as steps were taken to enter the establishment. Nothing was said in response to his comments as Nevol thought none were needed. He paid no mind to the fact that the man was walking behind him. If that was where he chose to walk, than so be it.
He made the slight turn as he had been silently directed to do and found himself in the warmth of the bar area of the Inn. The smells that filled the air were so inviting. Unlike most of his kind, he and his brothers had stomach enough for a spot of tea. This too was, of course, was attributed to their breeding. She had never quite lost her taste for tea, and those that she had created had found that they too could consume the warm liquid on occasion.
Rodry's step brought to mind a tap dancer. Tap shoes could produce the stutter step that was the sound emitting from the man. Though Nevol doubted the man to be wearing such shoes having just come down from the roof. A glance was cast in the direction of the man's feet, but they were covered by the robe. So Nevol shrugged it off.
Nevol remained silent while Rodry spoke to the lady, and she in turn responded. He only saw the small orb of water as it was moving to the sink to be gotten rid of. So this woman was more than just a lycan. Good thing to take note of for future reference. His coat was laid over the bar stool before him.
She asked why he had chosen to stay, a question obviously directed to Rodry. Lips parted to speak, but given what came to his tongue, he closes him mouth. He had promised to not be wicked if he came in, and those words were just that. So they remained unspoken.
She produced the silver-tone flask type container and the corners of his lips curled up. Hearing that it was for him made him smile a little wider. "Thank you, that is most kind of you." Haha, he could be civil, polite even. And before he could speak further, she took her leave.
Nevol moved to the bar to procure a glass. Then he opened the top of the container and brought it to his nose. The bouquet was delicious. And it did have the stamp of freshness in it's scent. He poured some into the eight ounce tumbler he had retrieved for his use. And one taste of the room temperature liquid and he knew that his nose had not betrayed him.
When the lady returned from the kitchen, she had towels. Glass was placed upon the bar top but he did not retrieve a hand towel. Not yet. Instead he moved to stand approximately three feet in front of her. He dropped to one knee before her and lowered his head. His right knee was upon the floor and his right arm hung down at his side. His right arm was raised before him and bent at the elbow.
This was the way that Knights greeted their Kings and Queens once upon a time. And as Nevol looked to the floor he spoke. "I seek M'Ladies forgiveness. I did not mean to disturb your peace and I should have minded my tongue better. My words were inappropriate and the mistake shan't be made again." He waited in the position he was in to be forgiven and allowed to rise.
It would be that he could not rise and towel himself unless she gave him permission to do so. He hoped to have a bit more conversation with her if she allowed it. After all, she had said that Sacher was not staying within the Inn. That meant that she had a familiarity with his brother. Otherwise, she would have said something to the effect of there is no one by the name of Sacher staying within the Inn.

Re: • Thunder and Rain •
It was a well known adage that talk was cheap, it would be Benevolence's actions not his words that would prove Rodry's choice to either be wise or foolish. Though considering where Rodry had positioned himself, he felt as if he were taking precaution enough. Never let it be known that Rodry would invite problems into the Tel, at least not without trying to negate it in some minor way!
Considering their previous environs, they were of course soaked. Rodry was sluicing water from the point that he had walked in. The beads that glistened on the leather of his robe unable to cling to the slippery surface. Leaving small puddles in his wake wherever he paused for more than a moment. The silence of the room other than the low crackling of the fire licking at the hearth had him smiling faintly. The inn was quite peaceful at this time of night, hopefully their steps and words wouldn't disturb any of the residents.
Imagine how cheeky that would have been of Rodry, to joke about the inappropriate nature of Benevolences footwear for climbing on roofs if he had been wearing tap shoes? One thing Benevolence did get to see was that the robes hem had been hastily done, it was uneven. Which would of course make one perhaps wonder if it had been a home alteration. If he cared to check, the sleeves were simularly altered and the hood that hung down Rodry's back after another glance looked far too large for the garment and Rodry's head! Curious, it seemed to have belonged to someone much larger than Rodry and at his more than six feet how much taller could one get?
That was something else, while De'Ryanna might be a bit distracted, she might notice that he did seem a tad taller than he had before. Then again, perhaps it was merely something that was imagined? He had come up to the bar shortly behind Benevolence, the teaball packed tightly, enough to ensure that his tea wold be quite strong. Rodry had chosen an aromatic mixture of mint, lemon grass and orange zest. Leather clad fingers drew the short chain of one of the tea balls that had been provided, easing it into the mug and from there reaching for the steaming kettle. Pouring it for his tea even while he adressed De'Ryanna's question.
"Benevolence seems to had decided to heed my advice to behave himself. All it took was me knocking some sense into him."
While he was thirsty for something nice and hot to soothe his throat and to savor, he had to wait for the tea to steep! His gloved hands did however cup the mug. Lips parting in a faint smile to see that they seemed to be getting along well enough. Though, when De'Ryanna returned shortly after with a towel, Rodry offered a brief nod.
"Thank you De'Ryanna. I appreciate the thought."
The towel was used to pat his face and hair dry, wiping at his neck. What was this? He paused in his mopping momentarily seeing Benevolence suddenly going down on one knee. Well!
"....Ssnngt."
Hadn't even been able to hold it off till poor Benevolence had finished his apology! Rodry couldn't help himself, couldn't resist the sudden urge to snicker at the kneeling, apologetic vampire! He just couldn't believe the fact that the vampire had gone from being argumentative and rude to ... this. He just couldn't believe it...

As there was nothing else said form Rodry about whether or not he required anything else to go along with his tea, De'Ryanna let the issue drop. If he remembered, or thought about it again, then surely he would open his mouth and say something.
When he made the comment about knocking sense into the vampire the girls brows rose in what could be considered a shrug. "Better that you hit him than I, other wise the cane would have been substituted for a cross." Spoken in a very casual manner that was ended with a small wave of her hand as she started to prepare her own tea.
She was only being honest, even if her choice of words could have been better, or spoken in a lighter way to not pick at things that could possibly be a vice to the other. This was more than a simple Lycan and Vampire dislike for, at the root of it, Benevolence was a male and she was a female - it was a much a part of her persona, as well as upbringing, to strive for dominance. He had been the one - in her mind - who started it first: staking dominance by given shelter. Of course, he may not see it that way, but she did.
And now, this young female Lycan was offering up verbal challenges to determine her place in regards to him. Fortunately for Rodry, his place was already set in her mind after she had stabbed him in the hand and he stood his ground against her.
It was while she was fixing her silver needle tea that she saw what the vampire was doing. And what he said. The whole thing - and Rodry's laugh- was deserving of a brow raise from the girl as her actions froze for a moment. That moment passed and she was back to her tea, taking a small spoon and stirring around the contents.
Picking the cup up between her thumb and forefinger she looked over the edge of the bar to watch how he had knelt. The swell of pride and dominance so strong in her at the moment it could almost be seen on her face, reflected in the curl of her lips as she spoke. "It's your tongue, you can mind it however you want."
Did she knew that he was waiting for say that she forgave him and all was behind them? Quite possibly. She hadn't spent years of her life serving in Court without learning about policy and protocols. Did this mean she would adhere to them? Well, De'Ryanna was a teenager who currently had a swell of domination inside of her. Protocol. Sure. She tapped the small spoon on the cups edge before she took a drink from her cup, eyes pointedly looking at the one on the floor.

Audible snicker noted and responded to with a sideways glace from the corner of Benevolence's eye. The look read as 'thanks a lot. just snicker at me in front of her'. But then his eyes were once again cast toward the floor. His head, nor any other part of his body, had moved the slightest.
The woman had addressed him, so etiquette dictated he respond. And what did he know from etiquette? It had been quite literally drummed into his head from the day he died. "Yes ma'am." His response to the young lycans words.
Now whether she forgave him or not was to her own choice. But so long as she did not tell him he could rise, he was stuck where he was. And at the moment, he had never wanted anyone dead more than he did she who had made him. There was some part of him that would always fear her. He would never forget her words. 'I brought you into this world, and I can sure as hell take you out of it.' Never a worse phrase had ever been uttered to ones young.
So Nevol stayed in his position upon the floor. He only awaited her permission to rise. Even if she chose to not forgive him. At least he had been taught well. And if she could see him now, she might actually be proud of him. Something he had not thought her to be since her favorite toy had been given to her for her hundredth Birthday.

Luckily for De'Ryanna Rodry wasn't overly needy or the type to put someone out of their way, especially when he was perfectly capable of stealing into the kitchen himself to get a snack if he were hungry! Why should he imposition another? Besides, he didn't want to miss this, especially after seeing how Benevolence had decided to go about his apology.
"Come now, he's apologizing, no need to threaten him further."
That stern tone of his may have been a bit pointless considering he was using a gloved hand to try and keep from revealing the smile that had come uninvited to his features! The old fellow honestly couldn't help himself though! No offense to Benevolence or the training that must have gone into getting him to respond this way, but it smacked of insincerity especially after his combative behavior outside! Rodry was far from mean spirited, so it wasn't like he was just trying to embarass the poor chagrined vampire!
There was just something eternally amusing about the way things had turned. He certainly wouldn't have guessed that the vampire would be dropping to one knee! Rodry would have found someone doing simular to him amusing even if he would feel more embarassed for the one doing it! De'Ryanna however seemed to feel the same way, at least about the amusement! Perhaps Benevolence should have forseen this from the young woman? The show was going to be enjoyed while he let his hands rest around the steaming mug before him. Allowing the tea to steep longer than Ryanna had allowed her own to. Though once the water had started to gain color he had swirled the tea ball and it's chain, leaving it in the water while he sipped, to check on the mixture. Helping himself to a few small scoops of sugar.
Rodry however couldn't help to wonder about how long the two of them were going to keep up this little te-ta-te. Something that left him drumming his fingers quietly against his mug in the silence before giving a low sigh. Children. which had Rodry easing off of the stool he had been half leaning his weight upon, to get his cane and to cross the short distance to Benevolence's side.
"There now, you've given your apology. To your feet, before someone trips over you."
The slender silver capped tip of his cane was pressed into Nevol's side. Prodding at his ribs to try and encourage him to get up rather than further abasing himself. Though if he was going to be difficult, Rodry would try using the hooked end of the cane to catch him under the armpit and encourage him up as well. What was with the youth of these days having half as much sense as they had back when he had been young?

De'Ryanna's amusement on the situation only grew the more that she watched him there upon the floor. She had no hang ups or problems with him staying there until she left the room, if that's what he wanted to do.
When Rodry commented to her about threatening Benevolence, her eyes went from the Vampire to the elderly man, the slightest raise given to her brows. "It is not so much a threat as it is factual truth," she explained while she watched him.
With a bit of a huff Ryanna tipped up her chin and turned her back on both males, finishing up her spot of tea and placing the cup in the sink. In a few hours the Kitchen would officially open for breakfast and she would be back here - along with Armandeus and Concina - to begin the morning fares. The cup could wait to be cleaned until then.
Being that Benevolence had poured his drink, De'Ryanna capped the silver container and put it away, leaving the glass, and towels, there for him to use when he was able.
"Now, as neither of you require anything of me, I shall retire from your presence." Rodry didn't want food and the other seemed content where he was.
She was turning back around in time to see Rodry trying to prod Benevolence up from the floor. Folding her hands loosely across her waist she passed around the desk, fingers on her right hand messing with the leather cord around her left wrist, and she eyed the pair. "If he wants to stay kneeling upon the wet floor, Rodry, then he is free to do so," she said with a hint of mirth in her voice.
Starting her walk against she had to pass the two and she slowed a tad when she was near. "Though, if he wants to make himself a servant unto me, there are many things of the Inn he can be about doing. Useful things as I'm sure Oliver would not object to an extra hand in the stables as it is raining and the animals surely restless." If he was going to stay she would give him task to perform, no sense in letting a perfect good worker go to waste, especially when they were male.
De'Ryanna would continue towards the exit.
