The day had started off like any other day, the sky wasn’t anything spectacular, there had been no word from Xavier, but by now she finally figured that he wasn’t going to contact her. So the last memory she had of him was of him calling her a little girl and telling her she was dismissed. Even as she thought about that, her hand moved to her stomach, which by all looks was still flat as it had always been. But was it truly flat or was it merely shimmer magic? The only one that knew the answer to that was herself, and perhaps if someone had some very intense hearing, they would know if she had a secret or not. But that wasn’t here or there at the moment….funny how she had not seen anyone since Xavier wasn’t it?

The drive to the Starbucks was second nature to her and she did not pay as much attention as she should. If something would of jumped out at her, she would of dodged it, at least she hoped so, but it was as if she had hit the auto pilot switch on her. Once she arrived at work, she pulled into her normal spot before going inside locking the car as she went. A wave to the girl behind the counter, she was fastly becoming one of the favorites.

Walking back to her office she sat behind her desk, glancing at the pile of mail. Mail wasn’t something that was unusual but the one that had a corporate logo from a different business did catch her attention. Fingers grabbed for that one first, tearing open the envelope she blinked, as she read what was inside. A job offer. A very lucrative job offer at that. First thought was quickly erased because she had no one that she needed to check with. But that also meant she had no one to share the news with either. No one that would be truly happy for her. Her employees were not going to be happy but that was something that they would deal with. But that thought was not going to let her down….instead she picked up the phone and informed Starbucks that she was leaving and she was sorry she couldn’t give a two week notice because the offer she received was better then what she was getting now. They worked out a few details and then she was gone saying her goodbyes and sailing out the double doors, and into her car to go fine the new place.
